I love the new guy. I saw them in Detroit a few years back and they did an incredible show. He just brings new life New Blood new energy to the band. He's awsome.

Just imagine the pressure he bear because people can't take away the comparison all the time, but still.. he still sings magnificently. Steve is Steve.. no one can take away that. The band needs a new song to cement his own position as front man for journey.
I would have to say Mr. Arnel Pinada was one of the GREATEST replacement singers in the history of Rock and Roll, along with Mr. Sammy Hagar. These guys I think are as popular now as they were back in their prime, at least based on show attendance, longevity, and success. Obviously the band was on top of the world when Escape went #1, but not many bands take it back up as well as these guys did after losing one the greatest lead singers in the HISTORY of music. AMAZING stuff.

arnel has a nerve of steel,singing with a legendary band with millions of fans all over the world is no joke plus bracing from threat of racism,comparison,bashing and acceptance but he simply stays humble you can see the way he answered question says it all, go arnel fly high with your journey!

I saw him sing in a dingy bar in Hong Kong and I walked up said thank you... Your friggin amazing... And he said thank you. He sang a queen song and it was literally full of energy, so real and ridiculously perfect. Now watching hear on Oprah years after... What can I say... I am glad he was brought out for the world to watch and enjoy. Peace out Arnel.... Ps my father a musician brought me to watch him I was only 15.

@@louellatablante5049 im a filipino but i disagree, steve' voice was insanely out of this world you have to listen mother father song for you to realize, we never heard arnel pineda sang it in his prime years and i hope he sang that. I think perry's voice was way more thinner when his hitting highnotes and his using headtones for that, while arnel sings with chest voice and way more thicker with his highnotes.
That dvd is amazing. They are just un real live. Arnels voice and energy, CRAZY guitar solo's, amazing drums (and sings really well at the same time while playing them). They put most bands half their age today to shame.
Been a Journey and Steve Perry fan for years but man, this guy can Sing! So humble, what a beautiful human being! God Bless Arnel and what a story behind it! One man's Journey that saved a band! The Journey continues and so does the Voice Steve Perry!

It's 2022 and I still listen to their songs with Steve Perry's surround sound reincarnation. Arnel, it's amazing and revived this band.

Yes, he’s on his 40’s here Already. But look at him. He looked so young. Maybe that’s how you will normally look like if your heart is pure and humble enough to look back at where he came from. That gives so much respect for Arnel that even his band mates respect and love him and welcomed him with open arms!

Wow!!! I just can't stop listening to this Arnel Pineda front lead singer with Journey. Was on utube listening to music and came accross Journey songs and found out that there was a new singer. Where have I been?? Yes Steve Perry was awesome, and still is. Journey band ,. What a perfect choice. Not only does he sing GREAT, he sounds like the original singer on every song he sings. Arnel, I am so amazed with your abilities, and thank God, you were had a video going on in philliphines, and that Journey located you. What a miracle . You look great and sound awesome. Very good singer in his own rite,but by finding someone that sounds like Steve Perry proves that Steve was what made the band all along. But in his own band this guy could really make it big.
We are all unique in a different way my dear. No one else can sing those difficult songs like he does. Arnel give it justice. No comparing but he is really amazing indeed.

Still don't understand why all the bashing. He has talent, period. His voice is his voice. Why should he "change what is his?" When you say "get your own voice" then you are asking him to not be himself. Just like Rubin Studdard who sounded like Luther Vandross. That's his voice he was born with. This guy has talent and isn't that what it is supposed to be about? Apparently millions of fans are okay with it, they sell out wherever they go. So I guess he is doing something right. I never hear people tell Elvis impersonators to "find your own voice" they like that they sound like their favorite singer.

Arnel didn't fill the gap when Steve left the band, it is like continuing the journey as the years goes by. The legacy is still there and I think Arnel didn't tried so hard to fill the space for Steven.
