I love how through the whole of red dead redemption 2 Arthur said revenge is for fools all the way to the end where we are giving the chosen to heed his warnings or to have them fall on deaf ears Where Arthur few away his chance at revenge to help John John without his knowledge few away his chance at freedom for revenge for Arthur which then we have the choice to few away jack’s freedom for revenge for John making the cycle repeat or he heed the advice John should of from Arthur to not get revenge and go live out the days you have left in peace

Yes, you're right! I ended up wording that part wrong, and a dying man getting money for himself doesn't make sense either way. Sorry for the confusion
the high honor endings aren't really different in terms of arthur's intentions or outcome. if arthur follows john, he's making sure he escapes unscathed, whereas if he goes for the money, he's drawing all of the law and gang's attention on himself which also lets john escape unscathed. it's just a matter of whether he wants to keep the moral high ground or settle the score with micah
