A lot of it's initial positive reception was centered around it being a good start for a live service title to build off of. Then 343 proceeded to not build anything off of it, allowing it to stagnate and die out. Basically it was well-received to some extent because of the potential it had, but now is seen as a failure because of the devs not guiding it to reach that potential.

I had Countless issues and repairs done to my Xbox one. But most of my best memories in video games were playstation 2. Sony was awesome and i played mostly every game which is hard to believe . In the upcoming new generation I'm buying ps5 hands on.

This is so much more relevant now than ever considering the Phil Spencer interview on Kinda Funny Games. Him basically admitting they can't outclass Sony or Nintendo in hardware sales due to the amount of digital investment in those platforms and ecosystems is the most defeated I've ever seen him sound lol
