Hi Yvonne, I love your channel! I love the old chippy, crusty, same things you do. The stools and those corbels they are from Mexico. They use the cheapest wood they can find and they are covered with some kind of plaster paint, and they are not sealed and they chip away so easily. I bought in several pieces and had to seal them in so they will quit chipping away. But you’re right they are so rough they just cut the wood and slap it together. Loved your video. The little stool’s and the corbel’s I just fell in love with!!
Loved every peace you did.
It was ironic that as this video came on I was making over a small table top 5 drawer chest from Temu to look like a primitive antique. While I had fun doing this it was definitely harder than you make it look. And because of your voice in my head I even did the back, which will never be seen. 😀 I love your videos so much and enjoy all the creative transformations you bring to each project.

Once again, amazing transformation of these pieces! I LOVE the green milk paint. Basil is my all time favorite, then your mix is a second ! You certainly achieved the “old worn chippy paint look “ You are the master of that ! LOL!!

Most of the items I make over are from DG or a thrift store. It works for me. I'm glad you did so.e makeovers. Praying you skin cancer surgery will heal nicely and that you don't have anymore praoblems.

Favorite today was the chippy little stools! Yes I have made over new items, it's amazing what a little somethin' somethin' can do for new items. Now here you go again showing me a new tool...gotta have the long handled paint brush!! TFS Yvonne

Beautiful ideas as usual!!! ❤❤❤ With the sheep, you could use those fuzzy white car wash towels in the dollar tree auto section, cut a bunch up, and make the fur for him, then patina it to make it look a little dingy 😁

The first thing I thought of was antiquing glaze! 😂 The sheep looks way better! I LOVE your concocted green! Boy, the wax just finishes off! All of them are so pretty! Love the ‘dirt’ on those corbels! That horse is beautiful! The glaze really finished off those stools! Oh, the bunny chipped perfectly! And the last corbels were changed completely for the better! Great job 🎉❤

What color did you mix with the Basil milk paint? That color is beautiful!!!

I think these wood pieces are made in Mexico by the thousands. The last couple times I’ve gone to Canton, Texas, every other booth had these rough wood pieces. I’ve redone a lot of them too - mainly because they are inexpensive. I’ve had a lot with moldy looking spots as well. I agree, I think they just dip them in a vat of chalk paint or maybe gesso. It’s very powdery. Thank you for your great work. You’ve worked hard and improved so much since you started. I can’t wait to see each new video.
Oh.. I wouldn’t mind more. Cheap .. I like cheap.. the wood heavy. I finish.. not great. So your right they are great projects pieces to refinish.

I have learned to never question your design decisions 😂 Everything turned out so fabulously! I haven’t tried milk paint since my first attempt with SUCCESS as I’m SKERD for the maybe maybe not out one! It seems to be like trying to make a 2 years old do something 😂 I picked up a couple of columns from Hobby Lobby that are “plaster”. I trying to figure out the paint to use, they are a yellow “cream” and look hideous
Remember my first attempts definitely aren’t like they are now. We learn as we go😉 and we aren’t allowed to use a heat gun on a two year old.. lol oops 🫢 oh’s those will be fun to do over💕
