Most of the woodworking channels I’ve watched have been mostly if not all power tools. Being honest I didn’t know there were woodworkers that used only hand tools. They have recently been coming to my feed. I love it! The sheer talent and artistry you have, being precise on details. As I’m watching when using your hand planner and the pieces curling up so thin I could imagine the pure satisfaction you must get from your work. My career is in making dentures. While I’m good and I get satisfaction from a job well done I have seen others with much more skill and talent. Not that I don’t constantly work at it and after 42 years I honestly am proud of the work I put out but watching this is inspiring and motivating. I just started doing a little woodworking but seeing this just thrills my soul! Thank you for sharing your talent and the beautiful work you do. Now that I’ve found you I will be watching all your videos!
There really is something so soothing and peaceful when working with hand tools! It seems the modern woodworker is enamored with machines and there is a place for them, but the satisfaction of a hand tool project is just different
One of the most enjoyable woodworking videos I’ve seen on RUclips. Just the sights and sounds of your shop. The tea break and the thunderstorm were the icing on the cake. A wonderful reminder to me to be more reverent of my own work, space and craft. Thank you!
what strikes me most of your work and videos is the simplicity and minimalism of your techniques and tools. It seems all you need to make all these beautiful projects area couple of Block Planes (home made), your nice Clifton number 4, some chisels, some inexpensive Japanese saws, and look the amazing work you do! See, here in United States people have tons of expensive tools, huge shops packed with all sort of expensive machinery, they boast to know it all, but at the end you don't even see the results. We try hard to impress others with tools, nice shops, fancy workbenches, and thats all. Americans believe that buying a $20K Piano makes of you a pianist. Great work man. keep it up!
You are only the second ever woodworker I've ever seen get such a good fitting on a set of drawers that by pushing one in no air can escape and the second one opens, the other was a master Japanese cabinet maker well into his 70s who probably started as a young child. I can only marvel at that level of perfection
There’s another guy one here who built a secret compartment using that same idea. Rob Cosman definitely builds to that level of precision. If you haven’t seen he’s channel definitely check it out
You are a real artist! Every piece of furniture you make is just amazing! Piece of art! I watched every video you’ve made and can’t wait to see the next one! Continue to inspire us !! Thank you
Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL presentation here -- all of it. I can only imagine the time/work/expertise this took - including your video-editing and the music-selection, etc. Thank you.
I love watching you work a piece. Your appreciation for wood and it's tactility really shows. You've inspired me to turn my own drawer knobs and it's a nice, finishing touch to a piece 😊
Obviously your work is amazing. But let’s admire the quality of your souls work, you see the beauty in the simple things and I LOVE YOUR SHIRT. 42 has been my number since I heard the line… but I FOUND 42 in my life. Keep up the inspirational work my friend.
Wunderbare Arbeit…

Stumbled across this video and it was such a pleasure to watch. I love how you show your sharpening, as this is such an important aspect, and you demonstrate clearly why we all need to do it more often! Your zen tea break had me hitting the like button! Will watch through your other videos later.

There is nothing more incredible than woodworking in the rain. I hope to live in a rainy climate in the future and experience that unbelievable peace.

The only channel that keeps me fully attentive from the very begginning till the end..
Maestro en el sentido literal!! Le sigo desde Perú 🇵🇪. 🖐

Using these drawers would annoy me to no end. I would quickly drill holes in the back side to relieve that air pressure.
Watching the joinery being made is so satisfying

Ahhhh......sharpening the plane iron...and well placed! Was almost disappointed it was not at the beginning prior to assembling the plane. Excrllent!
Jawsome video! LOL! I appreciate your videos so much, my friend.
Smooth as silk it is, and pretty as a picture.
It's impressive that you got it air-tight like that but maybe you should put a hole in the back so one drawer isn't affected by the other.
Ive said it once and ill say it again, Beautiful Functional Art.
Beautiful combination of Maple and Mahogany. Love your Clifton. Best of the best.
Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL presentation here -- all of it. I can only imagine the time/work/expertise this took - including your video-editing and the music-selection, etc. Thank you.

The drawers fit so snugly that when closing one drawer the trapped air pushes the other one out. Beautiful piece. 👍
Very enjoyable to watch. Hypnotizing and relaxing.

Nothing more relaxing then watching a craftsman at work. Pour me a glass of bourbon on the rocks and kick back and chill.
