In the lore, this is actually pretty accurate to the speed of an astartes
I still feel like it's slowed down for human reaction time. Bolter feels slow unless special mags and you see autogun rounds and various other projectiles coming at you
and YOU the player can keep up with it
@@sessy01 or it could just be how the marine is perceiving everything around him, all slower than what an external frame of reference would suggest.
@@chaook Literally spartan time, in halo thats the canon (i think?) explanation of why you (spartan) can react so fast in comparison to humans (and most other aliens) in the games.
I mean it does makes sense, cheetahs also see time different when they are in the run for prey.
@@toobig7150 yea and my headcanon has always been the faster you go, the less movements your brain wants to show you in order to conserve sanity. too fast and everything don't always make sense, feels like a Wong Kar-wai movie instead :))

The only thing I’ve learned from this game is that more single player shooters need taunt buttons
I like the option to manually taunt but the classic build engine style of a character taunting on their own is something I wish this game had added as well. Adds a lot to the character you are playing

This might be the closest a game can show the proper movement rate of a Space Marine. Imagine witnessing this guy moving like that IRL, a half-ton monster of steroids and metal bounding at 80mph.
It's actually a condition in i wanna say Rememberancer lore where a would-be remembrancer just wets himself in a high pitched scream going AAAAAAAAA! at them just moving towards in a parade procession moving so precise and abnormally fast for their size and weight.

@@shaunhayes3072 Even when they aren't. Ashes 2063 and its sequel, Ashes Afterglow are both completely free and my new favorite post apocalyptic games. Theyre like fallout meets duke nukem. Ashes 2063, Hedon, Ion Fury, and Hedon are my favorite games right now, and Boltgun just made that list for sure.

A Warhammer game, with the gameplay of doom, while listening to the OST of Atomic Heart, which is highly inspired after Doom.
Absolute holy trinity of "Too angry to die".
I just played a bit of the game and it absolutely slapps
I hope they change their minds on doing extra content in the future. I'm sure they're probably just making sure their base game is good first. But still, it'd be a shame not to add a horde mode or additional level packs.

Only 2 complaints : poor damage communication and...no lascannon, that was my favourite weapon from space marine
They adapted the *'strenght vs toughness'* mechanic of the tabletop game into this videogame.

Halfway through the second episode on hard right now and I have to say the levels stay interesting. I've been playing nothing but boomer shooters lately, and this still stands out as amazing. I really hope a modding community forms around this game, because there's just so much you could do with this. Jumping simply to hear the slam of power armor smashing the ground beneath you simply never gets old, making traversal and jumping around constant fun. There's just so many good things to say about this game that any of the small shortcomings it has pale in comparison - its just pure awesomeness
