Just a quick question/opinion. I am just getting started in astrophotography and am wondering if I would be hindering myself by setting things up on
a LINUX PC. I know Pixinsight is avail. in LINUX as well as various other software but I am a little concerned about other administration, stacking , post-stack
software. I will be setting up a Ryzen 9 PC w/64GB RAM and 4TB of NVME and 2.5 inch SATA HD's and will run @ about 4.8Ghz. I have several years flying LINUX so I'm no too worried about that part of it. (besides, I detest Window and MacOS bloated spyware).
    Thanks in advance...

I think you'll be fine. PixInsight is literally the best astro processing tool on the market and there's also Siril. There's a few tools you won't be able to use like DeepSkyStacker, but Siril and PI both stack. You won't get Photoshop for finishing off an image, but you can use gimp. The only thing I'm not sure about is the quality of tools for planetary processing on Linux. But the worst case scenario is you may need to create a windows VM on your PC for the few windows tools you might wish you had.
