Thanks i just reinstalled all of my steam apps and i needed that tutorial for reinstall all of my mod of BF2

Does this mod still work? This mod in particular just wont work, clone wars era mod works perfectly. I copied exactly what you did in the video I just dont k ow what I'm doing wrong. I have the AAA-v1.3patch in my GameData addon folder so that's fine. Do I need the conversion mod too or is there any chance my pc just isnt good enough?
it's not your PC. any PC that can run the game can run the mods. the mod files are either corrupted or not installed properly

I have the update 1.3 and a couple mods installed into the addon folder but when I launch my game no mods show up. Plz help
well....
1: did you properly install them?
2: when you go in game, does the fake console and free camera come up when pressing ESC?
3: did you select the proper Era/map?
do this mod just work for the steam version?

Guys i need some help. I have v1.3 r129 installed and my custom map names show as three letters and symbols( like %,_ and more). I have tried to uninstall and reiinstall the game a couple of time witht he v1.3 following the instructions precicely. But this still happens. Am i doing something wrong or do i have to install v1.1 and 1.2 first. I have the CD version of the game and i install the mods correctly. They run smoothly but i just want to be able to recognize them in-game. If someone could help i would be beholden.

For BFX, Do I need to install both convo packs, because everytime I start a conq of Extreme, my game crashes
+Yes Gimme Please! Nope. For BFX it's really just the BFX part of the video. The reason I'm showing both mods is because they are the most difficult for beginner people to install. Those that don't know much about mods.
If you install BFX exactly the same way as I did on the video, you should be fine :)
I have the unofficial 1.3 patch, can i have the conversion pack as well?
+Tommy Rosario the conversion pack 2.0 and 2.2 patch add the 1.3 patch on the setup if you let it. BFX adds the 1.3 patch as well on the setup if you let it.
and I have steam version

Why do all my mod maps have wierd names like GBT%&%143 Something like that
usually it means they were not properly installed. uninstall them and reinstall.

uninstall the game and then try installing a mod and see if it changes anything
hey i get the error : source file is corrupted while extracting i have tried multiple places to download turned off antvirus, i have not been able to get past even extracting. I am on windows 10.

Which mod? BFX or Conversion Pack?
It could indeed be your antivirus or even Windows Defender or Windows Firewall.
I would also say that it could be the browser but it seems like you were able to download it fine.
Let me know which mod it is and if possible, list all the websites you've tried so far. Moddb or GameToast or SWBFGamers are definitely 3 of the main ones.
conversion pack , sorry for not saying that
i downloaded from moddb, nexus, tried filefront but they are gone. windows defender is off, becuase of my antivirus. however, the files extracts about 1/4 of the way, then it comes up with the corrupted source file code. i might try turning off windows firewall.
also i will try gametoast and swbfgamers
nope still the same problem i don't know what to do. Is there anyway you can email be the extracted data files from 2.0? then i can just copy them into the folder. i tried to test if 2.2 would install and it does extract.

I have windows 10. but it doesnt matter. any windows is fine. did you do everything in the video? did you download any OTHER mods before? if so, please remove them from addon and add them anywhere you want and try launching the game again and see if anything is changed. if not, you may add them back to addon. make sure the folder named BF1 is in addon.
