- I had a lot of trouble trying to get Battlefront II to work on my computer. I decided to make a video of how to install these mods because I had to do everything all over again.

Thanks for the guide! I sink a lot of hours into the handful of games I play, but I don't generally mess with mods and things so this was an easy to follow set of instructions that got me where I wanted to go.
Thanks so much, my mods got uninstalled somehow and I was loosing my mind trying to figure out how to get them back and this video had all the answers for me, I spent over an hours fucking around before and then I just followed along with this video for like 10 minutes and boom BFX once more! Great video, well made, good instructions and you speak very well, are funny and entertaining to listen to and don't over complicate things.
@Michael Mazurczyk I have it on steam and it works. Just do it exactly as was shown in the video, maybe uninstall and reinstall the game first just so your starting with a blank slate if youve tried to add other modds on before.
This seriously is an underrated video, this shit all worked for me like a charm, I was trying to install this on my laptop at my dads and I was going through all the tutorials I could find and none of them explained the crucial step of getting rid of the extra game data, so thank you very much for pointing that out. I'm gonna share the fuck out of this with the rest of the community so that they too can enjoy the mods.

It said, "BattlefrontII.exe=BattlefrontII.exe" does not exist. Is it often happen or am I make a mistake?

No viruses or anything? I'm kinda worried. Oh, and does it allow playing Hero Assault (aka Heroes vs Villains) on more than one map? I really dig that gamemode so I wish it did

I have a problem: I have installed everything according to your instructions, however I don't seem to have The Old Republic era or the KOTOR galactic conquest mode, only the BFX, KOTOR and OG BF1 eras and maps. Is The Old Republic era seperate in a mod that isn't the conversion pack? And as for the KOTOR galactic conquest mode, isn't that supposed to be part of the conversion pack? Thank you in advance man.

YES! Thank you! I used to have an older version on my old computer and I didn't think they had an updated one, so I tried the older one and it wouldn't work. Now this works and finally I can have fun messing around. :}

Kit Fisto is in the conversion pack on Alderaan. Asaaj is not part of this game. You're thinking of the new "remastered" version of this game, or a different mod.
thank you, I had the error in which the mod told me that battlefront.exe was missing, doing this I got it again but I started the game and everything is in it, if you have the same problem do what this guy says, its gonna work!!!

What did you do to fix it? I am having the same issue, everything works except for BFX? Mine is in the addon folder, it was installed there. It comes up as the three letter BFX folder, but the new eras do not pop up when I go to instant action

My game is fine has the maps and all but the selection is messed up, it’s like someone stuck the arrow down when trying to use the menu or the map selection

I'm also having an issue. I think certain things like the 1.3 patch are appearing in folders they're not supposed to be despite following instructions exactly. To verify: the 1.3 patches folder is labeled "AAA-v1.3patch" right? For some reason it ended up in my addon folder inside Gamedata next to the BF1 folder. Now I also have a "v1.3" folder under Gamedata, not in the addon folder. I have downloaded everything else in order all the way up to the point of downloading the 1.3. Hope I can get a little clarity here when you get the chance.

When I install the v1.3 patch to the Battlefront ll folder path, it still downloads straight to the addon file.
I just had to instal Patch 1.3 and after that BFX. Only Thing I had to do was to extract the 2 BFX Folders into the Main Swbf 2 Gamedata folder.

I did everything up to 4:32 twice and the installation still won't work. I've tried watching multiple videos, reading forums, getting peoples advice but it won't work. The download goes to 100% then a black screen comes up saying the safety check failed "battlefrontII.exe=battlefrontII.exe" does not exist. Please help me.

@@NicBroInc I got it to work 7 years ago but since then I've gotten a new computer and instead of a disc version I have it on steam. I dont remember having any issues with this before.
@@sirsaxon7786 Uninstall everything for Battlefront II, go into your files and make sure the folder is gone too. The only thing I can think is that your files corrupted when you downloaded from Steam.
@@NicBroInc I deleted everything. Bf2 and the conversion pack and the 2.2 patch. And tried it again. Could it be anything else?
Does it make a difference if you download 130 first and then the conversion pack? Is the conversion pack the 130 version?
I downloaded the mod and now i cant even start up the game. I have the halo, republic commando, and harrisonfog remastered mod. the mod broke my game and i don't know what to do
I dont know if anybody is ever gonna read this, but if so, does somebody have an idea why after all the steps I still dont have the additional eras?

I got something weird popping up in Administrator. It says "WARNING-Safety Check Failed "Battlefront II.exe.Battlefront II" does not exist." when i was installing the convo pack

Someone else mentioned that and never got back to me if they got it to work. Try to verify your game cache?
I have the same issue too. Did it all to a T, and even verifying cache and doing it a couple times in case I screwed up somewhere, but to no avail. Weird...

I did everything exactly as shown the right way but it just makes my game close. Ill open it and half way through the loading screen it just closes with no crash message or anything.

does this fix the game spy thing? i had 1.3 and marvel 4's conversion pack, and then added the convo pack and it switched my game servers to game spy....

I realized I didn’t browse properly and that’s what I messed up. This game is a challenge to mod but it’s easier than some other games I’ve modded.
Hey, the last time I played BF 2 was a few months ago, and today I opened the game and appeared a "Disney Service Contract", that I should agree to play the game, just like the "terms of use" when you buy the game on Steam. But there was a paragraph saying this: "You agree not to use any software or device that allows automated gameplay, expedited gameplay, or other manipulation of gameplay or game client and you agree not to cheat or otherwise modify a Disney Service or game experience to create an advantage for one user over another". Does this means the mods? I installed these mods on july, and I played a lot the game with theses mods, but do you believe this will cause some trouble now? By the way, I bought the game from Steam.
I have no idea, this is the first I'm hearing of it. These mods don't create an advantage so you should be safe.
@@NicBroInc Yes, I thought of the same thing, and we can use them only on singleplayer, which is an offline gameplay. I hope I'm wrong about it, because these mods are awesome. By the way, you never happened to see this contract when you opened the game recently? I don't know where you got the game, but maybe it is because I got it from Steam. guys, I know that would be a crime but lets just say that someone doesnt really like the kotor troopers and wants free mod space, but loves this mod since it ads a lot of cool maps. Is there any way to uninstall just the kotor era?

my screen is going black whenever I try to play as the BFX factions. Same thing happens when I play as the KOTOR factions. Same thing even happens when I play default factions (say clone wars not BFX version) on default planets (like Corusaunt). It works fine for about 10 seconds then the screen goes black. What's really weird is when I pause the game, the screen goes back to normal. Then the moment I resume gameplay it goes black again....not sure what the heck is going on but now my game doesn't work AT ALL. Any Ideas???

I installed the first 2 mods like how the description says, I got stuck on the 1.3 patch, I have NOT installed the BFX mod.
Also,
when downloading Star Wars Battlefront Conversion pack I get an error

@@Sweet_Caliber Maybe your download crapped out? I know these are big files are sometimes they can get corrupted if your internet isn't up to it.

Hola, instalé todo en el orden en recomiendas, e instalé también un pequeño parche que permite jugar Knight of the Old Republic en modo conquista galáctica. Pero cuando instalo el Darck Time II: Rising Son, ya no puedo acceder a la conwuista galáctica de los Caballeros de La antigua República. Podrías ayudarme sobre cómo tener ambos mods?
No estoy 100% seguro. Sé que por cada mod de conversión total que instales, cada Era agregada a un mapa del juego cuenta como un mapa nuevo. Nunca he usado Rising Son, pero es posible que esté agregando más mapas de los que tu juego puede manejar. Por ejemplo, BFX agrega un mapa BFX Clone y BFX Galactic Civil War a cada mapa, creando 4 mapas para cada nivel. El KOTOR se recorta mucho por alguna extraña razón, pero si no lo hicieran, contarían como una quinta versión del mapa. Realmente no puedes usar más de 2 modificaciones de conversión a la vez sin encontrarte con los límites de número de mapas.
@@NicBroInc OK gracias, la verdad es que Darck Times II: Rising son agrega unos cuantos mapas exclusivos y hasta una conquista galáctica diferente, debe ser por eso que mo me habre el modo conquista Galáctica del KOTOR una vez instalado el BFX.

Ok so this is funny... was working fine... then bf2 released a small patch... and it broke everything 😂😂😂
Ive unistalled the game reinstalled it then reinstalled the mods... it now no longer works 😂

Maybe a bit late but if you have Discord overlay activated, regardless if you are using it or not, it will do that. I had that same issue and turning off the overlay fixed it.

Maybe late but if you have Discord make sure the overlay is disabled. I was having the black screen issue and disabled the overlay and that fixed it.
For some reason I'm having issues on WIndows 10, screen keeps blacking out.
If you have discord turn off its overlay in settings

Literally followed this yesterday and it all installed and worked great, got home last night, booted up the game, Steam Decided to update the game, and now all the mods, and the patch doesn't work, frustrated.............okay update, just did all of this again, and now it works,

I have trouble believing that because they work. You must have done the gamedata/gamedata problem somewhere down the line.

Idk. My brother and I get these mods to work every year. It works for us and our friends. I'd say delete your addon folder and reinstall everything. If you want to wait a few days, I've moving into a new apartment with a new computer. I'll have to download and install everything on a Windows 10 computer myself. I can tell you then if it works for Windows 10 or is there's some problem with 10.
So I just delete the installations and hold on until you find if it works for Windows 10?

What's happening is that I can't enter most of the maps, and if I'm able to get in it wouldn't spawn in it would just keep flashing.
What Windows do you have, 7 or 10? Are you 100% sure your downloaded EVERYTHING correctly.
I have Windows 10 and I'm very sure I downloaded the exact way you showed in the video.
