SIRUI's First Autofocus Lenses And They Are Better Than You Think

- These are the first autofocus lenses from SIRUI and they are definitely worth to take a look at.
Even though they are made for APS-C lenses I used the clear image zoom technology from Sony to use on my fullframe cameras with all the features they come with.
The Sniper Series are available in 23, 33 and 56mm at F1.2 which is extremely impressive at that price tag they settle in at. That means will perform very great in lowlight situations as well.
The autofocus performance worked without any problems for me as you can see in my preview.

Hey Dani ich habe es jetzt ein paar Tage getestet und bin für den Video Einsatz sehr zufrieden. Würdest du für Video es dem Viltrox 27mm 1.2 oder dem Sigma 23 1.4 vorziehen? Lg aus Luzern
@@weloveswiss23 danke dir für dein kurzes Feedback, freut mich sehr dass dir das Objektiv gefällt! Leider habe ich keines der Sigma Prime Objektive zum Testen, deshalb kann ich dir keinen direkten Vergleich abgeben. Aber ich denke mit dem Sigma Objektiv wirst du keinen Fehler machen.
GREAT VIDEO. 2:57 since you did not shoot at 1.5 crop and 1.3 you must account for that in YOUR full frame equivalents. the 23 mm for you would be a 30mm @ 1.3 not 35 @ 1.5 or someone using autocrop or super 35 mode.
Appreciate it a lot though! Yes you're right, I forgot to mention that. I actually like the extra real estate or focal length you get with a 1.3 crop, but that's just preference and definitely great to have the option to not crop in full 1.5 times
Kind of off topic but how did you set up the dampening and gimbal settings for the camera arm? I’m getting micro jitters.
I think there was a manual, but I'm not sure anymore. It tells you to set the dampening that your camera should go up not too fast after pushing it down. I think there was a tutorial on RUclips for the Movmax N2
Hey Daniel, danke für das Review. Bin aktuell noch am schwanken zwischen dem Sirui Sniper 23mm 1.2 und dem Viltrox 23mm 1.4 für Videographie. Die Sniper Serie hat ja anscheinend starkes colourfringing bzw chromatische aberationen. Dafür hat es aber weniger fokus breathing als die viltrox primes.. schwierig.
Ah ja ich sehe, das ist echt eine schwere Entscheidung. Ich konnte leider nicht beide nebeneinander testen, aber ich denke die SIRUI Lenses haben halt extra einen gewissen look drin und das Viltrox Objektiv ist so viel ich weiss eher cleaner gehalten.
I'm using an A7S3 camera, but why is there a vignetting effect on the screen
As I mentioned in the video these are APS-C lenses and if you want to use it on a full frame camera such as the A7S III, you have to use either the super 35 mode, or the clear image zoom method, which is in my opinion the better solution
Hello, did Sirui make any of these for Canon EF-M mounts?
Hello, unfortunately they didn't cover the Canon EF-M mounts yet, but they are working on it as I heard so far

Do they make noise in auto focus?
They barely make any noise when auto focusing, you really have to put your ear next to the lens to hear it

The studio shot isn't great. Its too soft, so it looks out of focus..
@@z352kdaf8324 well yeah I mean it was set to 1.4 and maybe the RUclips compression adds the impression that the shot was out of focus
Lenses are not reliable on a proper set, AF hunts at certain situation, Manual focus hands down are useless.
I don't know how reliable the AF is on a APS-C camera, since I use clear image zoom the eye af is not available anymore. But the AF works pretty great for me, I have to admit sometimes it does not work properly, so I have to re-attach the lens, but it could be that it's because I have the embargo lenses. Also the focus ring is pretty smooth in comparison to some Sony Prime lenses to be honest.
