i love how you intersperse scenes from thistles backstory alongside the current timeline to contrast how he changed over time - not just bc of the dungeon/winged lion, but also the weight of his responsibilities and expectations put upon him....he wasnt always like this....he was once a boy who worked so hard to keep his loved ones and kingdom safe....
he keeps trying to solve problems, but more keep coming and he keeps losing control, until in the end, the lion eats him and he loses everything that remained... the ending shot with the empty dining table is perfectly haunting
