Mahishasura actually represents 'lust' who can change forms like he changed into a buffalo Goddess Durga killing Mahishasura actually represents putting an end to lust and desires and also 1) Shailaputri means the daughter (Putri) of king Himavan/Himalaya mountain (Shaila) it also represents mother Parvati in her childhood. She is that avatar of a little daughter who makes a family, her parents happy, joyous and proud of her. 2) Brahmacharini means the one who performs (charini) penance (Brahma) it represents Parvati in her phase of asceticism. Parvati had attained this epithet due to her performing austere and harsh penances to have Lord Mahadev as her husband for years. This form of her is close to her because as Parvati, she had been meditating to become one with Shiva again as Shakti. For her to be Brahmacharini, not only did Parvati wake up Mahadev from his penances, but rather, this form of hers was awakened within her in which she'd broken the rules of living life as a ordinary human. She is a student and a disciple who makes it her mission to attain the goals of her life through the harsh period of her education 3) Chandraghanta means the one who has a crescent moon (Chandra) in the shape of a bell (ghanta) on her forehead it represents Parvati in her married aspect. Parvati was given this title by Lord Mahadev himself, due to her wish to have Lord Chandradev, the Moon God, to adorn her as an ornament on her forehead. She is also that aspect of a woman who is independent and fights to establish justice, peace and makes her voice heard to bring about positive changes. 4) Kushmanda - here Ku means 'a little', Ushma means 'warmth' or 'energy' and Anda means "cosmic egg". This form of her is known the world over as Kushmanda, as she holds within her, many endless powers of the world. Lord Mahadev had helped her realize the fact that she's not just a human, she is a Goddess, who is the Mother of the World and all of creation, as she produced the three planes through her golden womb. She's that aspect of woman who brightens up the lives of those around her by her glee. 5) Skandamata means the mother (Mata) of Kartikeya also know as Skanda. it represents Devi Parvati in her stage of motherhood. Parvati is known to be the mother of Skanda, her son Kartikeya. Skandmata is maternity, affection, and love in a woman. 6) Katyayani represents Parvati in her warrior stage. When the Gods invoked Mahashakti to protect them from demon Mahishasura, Parvati materialized from a sacrificial fire in the avatar of a ten armed Goddess, who is then known the world over as Katyayani, due to her having assumed her birth in the home of sage Katyayan being his daughter and killed the dreaded demon after a long fight. She is that avatara of a woman who shows that she is not vulnerable when the question of protecting her is brought up, as even she can also protect men oftentimes 7) Kaalratri - here Kaal means time and ratri means night. it can also be put into meaning as the One who is “the Death of Kaal” Kaalratri represents Parvati in her phase of destruction. She is called the Goddess of time and death because she is above and beyond its reign as she controls the time in which someone's death arrives and she is beyond darkness. She is also that aspect of a woman who is constantly enraged by injustices and fights them to save society as she is aggressive and can bring about destruction when her threshold is crossed 8) Mahagauri - means the one who has a bright white complexion. Mahagauri represents Parvati in her phase of recovery. After she embraced her form of Kali, Parvati returned to her normal form but with skin as black as night clinging on to her person. On Lord Brahma's direction, she immersed herself in the Manasarovara river and came back out afterward, radiant as the moon and shining brilliantly with her white garments and ornaments. This form of Parvati was known the world over by the name of Mahagauri. She's also that avatar of a woman who is a homemaker, devoted wife, and a nurturing mother, as she is the only one who is the foundation of a family 9) Siddhidatri means the bestower (datri) of the 8 supernatural powers (Siddhi). Siddhidhatri represents Devi Parvati in her stage of reaching her highest and supreme form, knowing who she is as she has been established as the complete manifestation of Goddess Mahashakti, thus reaching her status of becoming a Goddess. Siddhidatri has all the supernatural powers and is one with Lord Shiva as Ardhanarishwara. She's that avatar of a woman that represents the very source of life and provides education, teaching skills, and discipline into her kids. there are also many different stories associated with all the forms of mother goddess each with many versions

Bananas and Coconuts are preferred offerings in a lot of Hindu Festivals as these are often the fruits that are untouched by humans throughout the process from germination of seed to the flowering and subsequent fruiting of the plants. A mango tree for example can be grown from the seed of the mango after the mango has been eaten, therefore it may be impure due to presence of human or animal saliva on the seed after the consumption of pulp but that is not the case with coconut and bananas as for these fruits, the fruit has to be either buried whole (like in case of coconut) or using the rhizome (in case of banana) to grow the plant. In case of sesame seeds, they are grown in similar fashion to peas, i.e., they grow in pods and when the seeds are ready, the pod dries up and bursts. Hence, it is also used as an offering.

Western world came to know about solar and lunar eclipse few hundred years back but there is mention of 'Solar Eclipse' during Jayadrath Wadh chapter of Mahabharat. I am not bragging but its true that the most scientific and nature friendly civilisation is Hinduism, the more you study it the more you will fall in love with
Goddess Parvati had taken 9 forms they are as follows:- Sheylputri Brahmacharini Chandra ghanta Kushmanda Skandmata Katyayani Kalratri Mahagauri Siddhidatri Each goddess offered different dish
Ohh man Alissa's reaction was actually close to the Hindu philosophy of "Highest value is liberation / Elevating the consciousness". She should watch sadhguru's videos to understand deep amount what is "Inner engineering" and how to look inward.
What you said is actually what Hinduism is. These gods and goddesses aren't real entities. They're symbolic. They represent various aspects of the self. Of you. They're lessons. "Worship" is simply the act of focusing on that aspect of yourself to manifest what you need in life. Like for example, if you wanna strengthen your intellectual side, you'd meditate on your goddess Saraswati aspect (the goddess of knowledge). YOU answer your own prayers, not "god".
Everyone of us has multiple powers as goddess. Multi taskers. How to keep evil away. To show power different weapons are shown in her hands. Meditation is receiving powers from the One Supreme Almighty. Goddess Durga had nine births according to scriptures. In each birth she had different powers and specialities. She used to get her energy by meditating. Meditation means connect with the source and release your fear and energising. Build your spiritual aura, protective shield.
Durg means (the body) ,Durga means the presiding Officer of body which is prakriti (Nature), She is the mother of all creatures. She is not the goddess of energy, She is the Shakti (Energy)
@internet rabbit hole daily 13:37 - Actually Alyssa's on mark. She's correct that *karma* comes first which is actually also the First Concept of Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma) - The word *karma* (or justified work as per your *duty* ) comes from the Bhagvad Gita and Indian scriptures. In the subcontinent, organized religion like Christianity or Islam was oblivious to us. People used to worship the any form of nature they had faith in. In Hinduism the faith is that Nature or Universe is the Higher power (as mentioned by Shaun) and it is the *Mother* of everything since it nourishes Life. Basic concept is that - *Universe is very large to visualize so it's better to concentrate on a likeable form than trying to do the undoable of visualizing a vast and immeasurable Universe or Multiverse* . Hence the forms and incarnations with moral stories. Hope I could provide some clarity that these are not blind religion but *faith* rather than belief.
Dussera is a common name, but the real name should be Vijaya Dasami, signifies the return of Rama after defeating Ravana, the king of Sri Lanka, to rescue his wife Sita.
Theres no food to pounce on for us, there is rigorous fast for the women doing this pooja and they only consume fruits and few natural items also there is a diya which has to be lit for 9 days continuously
You people forget Durga Puja... Everyone eats even non- veg... What drugs are u on ?? Durga Puja is hugely celebrated in West Bengal and other North Eastern states... Nobody eats veg... 😂
It is more related to moon cycle around earth these 9 days are considered high energy because of certain cycles of the planets. This is just a story made to make everyone understand but there is a scientific reason behind Navratri, which was not explained here.
Actually Goddess was in spiritual form so devas didn't created her, just use their energy to make her appear because she is extremely powerful she is as equal to combination of all gods .
In india we believe the power within us . But we believe in respecting /worshiping and keeping the memory of wisdom through these festivals for thousands of years. But one has to understand what these stories of these incarnate Godesses truely represent , philosophically, morally and all . The wisdom of these festival can be understood by educated /uneducated , intellectuals/ non intellectuals for thousands of years . This wisdom should not be taken as granted about womans power and her "shakti" one has to respect it celebrate it .
We worship the Intelligent Divine Consciousness who has given birth to this Cosmos and millions of other Universes from her Womb. This female Divinity we call as Shakti or Mother Laxmi, Mother Durga, Mother Kaali, Saraswati and so on as she manifests is various forms as you can think. She is also called Yog Maya or Lord Vishnus Maya. She is also present at the base of your spinal Cord and if properly medidated upon can help you in realising the Supreme Joyful Pure Consciousness or Sat Chit Ananand residing deep in your heart who is always awake, aware and silent witness even if you are sleeping, in dream state or in Coma. We believe that our Jeevatman or Soul keeps on changing its residing place or body multiple times like 8.4 million times before merging into the Supreme Brahman. It's like how you change your clothes or Car when they r worn out. Your real self is the Jeevatman which is imperishable and not your body which perishable.
If you have grown up in western society founded on Judaeo-Christian (Abrahamic) way of thinking ... then you will always find it difficult to look or understand eastern (indic) faiths The translated terms in English also don't justify what actually it means in original source .. starting with the word "God/ Goddess" itself .. bcz that term has completely different connotations associated with it in WEST .. you cannot look at Hindu entities using that same definitions
React to the meaning of Islam and the religion, I am Muslim alhamdulilah [ which means thank to Allah , we don’t say god we say allah , please react to it 💕
Hindus don't put all their faith in god and just expect god to do everything. We do what should necessarily be done and just pray god to give us ability and mindset to takedown the obstacle that come in our way. It's just we feel more secured and have a mindset that even when there is no one believing in us or helping us, There is God standing with us and that courage will get us through.
Tenth day of NAVRATRI CALLED DASHERA OR VIJAYA DASHMI CELEBRATION BECAUSE THIS DAY LORD RAM KILLED DEMON RAVAN WHO ABDUCTED HIS WIFE AND AFTER KILLING THE DEMON KING RAVAN THEY CAME BACK TO AYODHYA THEIR KINGDOM AFTER JUST 20 DAYS AND THAT DAY CELEBRATED AS DIWALI, INDIAN MAJOR FESTIVAL " DIWALI"
There is no any defined way to celebrate one festival in Hinduism, every region celebrate every festival in its own way. Generally many people fast during Navratri (even our PM, he only drinks warm water during these nine days), in Gujarat state they celebrate with dance form called Garba, so there are n no. of ways to celebrate. The pig god you said is called 'Varaha' incarnation of God 'Shri Vishnu'. It would interesting for you to know that there are 8 incarnations of Shri Vishnu, and if see it all the forms they will tell you evolution of life, from first Matsya (fish) to last Krishna (Human) so contrary to popular belief that theory of evolution was proposed by western scientists, Indian literature stated these forms of life in the form of incarceration. Varaha (Pig) was one of them

I am not bragging but its true that the most scientific and nature friendly civilisation is Hinduism, the more you study it the more you will fall in love with
Number 9 is also a important number in Hinduism and other religions.
In Chandigarh, India, Whiskey is affordable.
Please react to similarities between hindu gods and Greek gods 🙏🙏🙏😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏.
Yes we are thinking to do that

Its 9 phases of Maa Durga , the supreme Goddess who took birth as Maa parvati and her phases of life!
Goddess Parvati had taken 9 forms they are as follows:-
Sheylputri
Brahmacharini
Chandra ghanta
Kushmanda
Skandmata
Katyayani
Kalratri
Mahagauri
Siddhidatri
Each goddess offered different dish
Ohh man Alissa's reaction was actually close to the Hindu philosophy of "Highest value is liberation / Elevating the consciousness". She should watch sadhguru's videos to understand deep amount what is "Inner engineering" and how to look inward.
Sean plz watch malayalam movie Lucifer and Ayyappanum koshiyum 🔥 🔥 🔥 it's imdb rating is 8 / 10 🙏 🙏 🙏

But in shiv purana devi parvathy the wife of shiva take the form durga.. And her 9 forms are those 9 devis
🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Durg means (the body) ,Durga means the presiding Officer of body which is prakriti (Nature), She is the mother of all creatures. She is not the goddess of energy, She is the Shakti (Energy)
@internet rabbit hole daily
13:37 - Actually Alyssa's on mark.
Navratri is the feminism we should aspire for..
Because ma durga is a creator and devi durga make vishnu bramha and shiv to form this thats why 3 major god always say mother is most powerful
Diwali is coming guys❣️😎
We don't call this mythology. We call it Puranas.. meaning ancient tales based on Truth. And Itihasas meaning "That which happened"
Dussera is a common name, but the real name should be Vijaya Dasami, signifies the return of Rama after defeating Ravana, the king of Sri Lanka, to rescue his wife Sita.
About hindu aarti like ganesh chaturti navratri aarti ganesh visarjan and more .
If you want i can give the best video to react. Namaste🙏🙏
Love your reaction ❤️😘

Watch Durga puja celebration of Kolkata
One of the names of Maa Durga is YOGA MAYA. Even though in the video it was said Godess Durga not yoga.
🙏🙏🙏🕉️
Theres no food to pounce on for us, there is rigorous fast for the women doing this pooja and they only consume fruits and few natural items also there is a diya which has to be lit for 9 days continuously
That is Shraddha, dedication and respect 🙏. It's difficult for them to know 'cause they aren't just from our culture and thought process.
You people forget Durga Puja... Everyone eats even non- veg... What drugs are u on ?? Durga Puja is hugely celebrated in West Bengal and other North Eastern states... Nobody eats veg... 😂
Durg means fort. So, 'Durgaa' means fort (feminine).
It is more related to moon cycle around earth these 9 days are considered high energy because of certain cycles of the planets. This is just a story made to make everyone understand but there is a scientific reason behind Navratri, which was not explained here.
It's not just banana it's more accurately we offers fruits like every kinda fruits we offer to goddess as god is women ❤️
Sean and Alissa plz watch malayalam movie Lucifer and Ayyappanum koshiyum 🔥 🔥 🔥 it's imdb rating is 8 / 10 🙏 🙏 🙏
Actually Goddess was in spiritual form so devas didn't created her, just use their energy to make her appear because she is extremely powerful she is as equal to combination of all gods .
Hinduism = Science.
" Sakti " means power/energy
In a form of God Women represent as power ( energy ).
Please make a video on Krishna full story we are waiting
Happy dusherra Sean and alissa
Thry didn't create.. Durga Adishakti manifested as she is power of devtas and stays inside them
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
In india we believe the power within us . But we believe in respecting /worshiping and keeping the memory of wisdom through these festivals for thousands of years. But one has to understand what these stories of these incarnate Godesses truely represent , philosophically, morally and all . The wisdom of these festival can be understood by educated /uneducated , intellectuals/ non intellectuals for thousands of years . This wisdom should not be taken as granted about womans power and her "shakti" one has to respect it celebrate it .
It's not goddess yoga but goddess durga....jai maa durga🙏🙏
Navrathri is nine days when Kali had had war the devil she killed him on the tenth day and so Dussehra , thanks.
Action movie of this event is really good i think it was a cartoon movie
This is the only religion that says mom’s name
Like God Krishna is claimed as Jashoda Nandan Krishna
(Jashoda is mom’s name, Nandan is child)
If you have grown up in western society founded on Judaeo-Christian (Abrahamic) way of thinking ... then you will always find it difficult to look or understand eastern (indic) faiths
The translated terms in English also don't justify what actually it means in original source .. starting with the word "God/ Goddess" itself .. bcz that term has completely different connotations associated with it in WEST .. you cannot look at Hindu entities using that same definitions
Devi durga adishakti is from dayone and she mainfested as katyayani to kill mahishasur. Sixth form. She is parvati only. Shivas wife.
React to the meaning of Islam and the religion, I am Muslim alhamdulilah [ which means thank to Allah , we don’t say god we say allah , please react to it 💕
You cannot understand anything of all 9 avataars of Durga and in a single lines😂😂 and those are not easy to understood to you ..
Created is a wrong word. Story is fine but it has extreme deeper meaning. A truth behind all these things. She is the creater of everything herself.
Actually they ivoked the power within themselves which is a part of supreme mother who is the supreme power
Varaha (Pig) was one of them
It is sanatan economics
😍💞💕💖😊😊
Yoga is also come from godess durga
You should react mysuru dasara
But Bengalis celebrate Durga puja not Navaratri (North Indians celebrate differently like mentioned in this vdo)
🇮🇳🚩👍👍👍🌷🌷🌹🌹
