Maa Durga originated by combining the energy of tridevs - shiv, brahma & vishnu. Brahma originates from Vishnu. There are vishnus in every universe, all of whom originates from Maha Vishnu (the creator form of the formless unity) and there are Shivas in every universe, all of whom originates from Sada Shiva (the destructive form of the formless unity). Adi shakti is the energy of sada Shiva. The energetic and the energy combined creates the ardhanarishwar roop.

I am from West Bengal, Bengalis are very emotionally connected with Durga Puja.
It seems that all the joys of the world are available in these four days.
We look forward to Durga Puja every year, counting the days like today and six days later.
Goddess Durga is a good example of mother power.
In our West Bengal mother is worshiped in every place, in every club, temple, and some in Banedi Raja Maharaja's house, and in some houses also mother idol is installed and also in every house mother is worshiped at home.
We cannot finish seeing all the god within our locality even in these four days.
At every place there is art emerging in the idols of the goddess and different art works are seen at different places...... There are various videos about pandals during Durgo Puja or after Durga Puja please I am very interested to see the reactions......
And this is the time when we all buy new clothes, and wear them on Puja days and go out to see god.... This is the time when schools, colleges are closed and it becomes our most favorite day.
Maa Durga passes away on Dashami this day can't be accepted but hope is waiting for the previous year, I used to cry when Dashami came as a child.
I have many memories of Durga Puja which are very sweet and close.

Tara and Kali form of divinity is associated heavily with Tantrism, bengal being a heavy ground for Shaivas and Shaktas which are inherently tantric in nature might have actually inspired Tantric Buddhism of Tibet.

It's mostly correct, just few facts were missed was originally Durga Puja was conducted in spring but later when r
Lord Ram was about to fight Ravana he worshipped the godess for 9 days during fall season and was able to defeat Ravan on day 10, hence this puja is also called " akala bodhana" or untimely awakening and continues tobe practiced in eastern India.Durga puja here in Bengal is a festival that has UNESCO living heritage verification.Massive pandals( temporary temple like structures made of wood, cloth or other materials) are constructed by members of every local community and the Devi is worshipped for 5 days ie from 6th day to tenth day. Some rich landlord family also have traditionally done this puja at home for last 200 to 300 yrs in Bengal and their heirs continue this tradition. It's is navaratri for northern India followed by Dusshera in which a Ravan effigy is burned, but for us it's our daughter coming to her paternal home with her children.
As for the confusion regarding devas giving her energy- as per shaivism and shaktism Shiva without his Shakti is shava( corpse) only when Sadashiva(Omnipresent consciousness) comes in contact with Shakti( Omnipotent Energy) is there creation. All the consorts of devas ie
    Sarswati( Brahma)
    Lakshmi(Narayana)
Devasena( Karthikeyan) and other goddess are all forms of her energy . She is Adiparashakti( eternal supreme energy). So the gods giving her energy is symbolic of the fact that she is infact the summative of all energy everywhere.
She is also knowledge in the form of Dasamahavidya( ten supreme learning).
Tara is one of the mahavidyas. Tara is benevolent as well as wrathful godess but she is a tantric godess and it's not advisable to divulge too much information on a open forum regarding secret sadhna or shiddhai(boons) that can be achieved. She is a bit different from Vajrayan Tantric Buddhist godess Tara that Sabine is more familiar with. Buddhist Tara includes 5-6 features of dasmahavidya(10 supreme learning).

@@subhajitpadhi9688 you don't have a monopoly on goddesses. So don't teach us what to believe.
Devi Bhagavat is an upa puran, not worthy of consideration because it contradicts Vedas. Lakshmi is mula prakriti and prakriti is unborn. She's not created by anyone. We have our own tantra and according to Lakshmi tantra, Durgā is just one of the many forms of Lakshmi.
Edit: Furthermore, according to padma puran, Durgā is just croreth of a croreth portion of Parameshvari Shri Radha Rani.
Also, why are you shaktas so shaivite biased? The consort of Shiva (Durgā) supposedly creates the consort of Vishnu? Shaivas and shaktas, both are hand in glove in laying the Veda to waste, introducing foreign unvedic gods as superiors to Vedic Vishnu.

@@Himanshu_Singh793 i think u r very much obsessed with vishnu thats why u r pasting only his supremacy over everyone ... Adishakti itself means the endless originless energy which was always there when no gods goddesses were in existence . and talking about durga saptshati ... The divine mahamaya is mahalakshami who is different from lakshmi . SHE divided her self into 2 more Mahashaktis according to her 2 more qualities ... Mahakali and mahasaraswati who are different from kali and saraswati .... So don't disrespect any god and goddess because all are the infinite forms of same energy ( Shakti HOTI h HOTA nhi ) . Vishnu is Shakti maan but dependent on Shakti .Jiske paas shakti nhi wo shaktimaan kaisa .

Krishna refers to himself when asked by arjuna who he is as *Time/Kala* , just see how it is so closely related to the feminine form of the same divinity *Kaali* .
Better not say vaishnavism, but hinduism in general treats the Dashavatar very closely to DashaMahavidyas. The avatars or incarnations taken to help mankind or any deity you hear of has a feminine counterpart symbolising underlying power of shakti.

So Vaishnavism is different from Hinduism? That's what you imply? BTW, equating Dashavatars with Dasha mahāvidyas is a purely shakta invention. Don't brand it as Hinduism. If anything, Vaishnavism represents true vedic Hinduism and Shaktism, with all due respect, is at best unvedic if not heretical.
