Hi y'all :D! This video is a continuation of my ...Mods For Something series. I wanted to do something less complicated this time, the DarkSpace video really took all my energy lol . But don't worry, the next video will be a yet another mod showcase, so stay tuned! Also what do you think about these new sound effects, I'll be experimenting with them now. Also tysm for 580 subscribers, and btw the DarkSpace video is almost at 10K views, holy shit :0
6:16 Also another cool thing this mod adds are namelists that are inspired by various Earth cultures. They sound vaguely like their respective language, but at the same time don't mean anything. This is a very unique idea I've never seen anywhere else. Not only that, random empires can also spawn with them, so now you can encounter vaguely French or vaguely Japanese aliens
This is the first video I am seeing of yours and I just wanted to say that it was very informative and well made. As someone with ADD, having a well paced video is really helpful. Thanks!
great video! it's really nice having a place to find this stuff because while I personally find endlessly searching the workshop vary enjoyable I can see why some people couldn't be bothered. I also recommend you take a look at the forgotten hive queen mod! it's really good and a vary nice expansion to hive minds
Thank you :D! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Oh yeah searching the workshop can be really fun, especially when a new version comes around, and the recently updated tab gets flooded with mods, I personally found many cool mods that way. Also I checked the mod, I used to play with it before it got abandoned for a longer period of time. Last time, it was updated in August, does it still work on 3.5?
Now Stellaris has more default colors, still this mod, extending palette of possible colours, is freakin awesome. Not only it allows you to choose more than enough colors, it also makes AI empires more 'colorfull'. And you see this when playing, on flags, on galaxy map; with this mod it just happens that computer empires have nicer, more interesting colors. Small thing, but it really makes difference!
Tysm :D! Well we're gonna get there soon, only 398 subs left lol. I'm pretty sure we're gonna get there somewhere around January/February 2023, or at least in 2023, idk we'll see!
Hey Michael, I’m currently working on two mods I would appreciate some of your feedback on. The first is an origin that adds a new gameplay style based around having multiple nations on your homeworld. The second is a series of civics based around concepts of likely occurrences for the future, such as a society preoccupied with the internet/devices or cyberwar survivors. If you’re open to it I’d like to run a lot of the numbers past you and see what you think of some of the mechanics.
You're welcome, hope you have fun with them! About background music, if I'll find something that will work with the video, then I will put some music in the backround. Im working on a video rn, so maybe I'll find something soon
@@michael_stellaris all the stellaris music is free of copyright, also i can recommend songs from adeptus mechanicus although i dont know if that has copyrights
@@Findus_the_cat while true its getting better. I really enjoy the console experience keeps me coming back often. I wonder of they could do a system like Bethesda did.
Theres mods on cities skylines, while still a very less fps/ram usage, Still I believe they could implement mods for cosmetics and small content at least
Civic and trait mods shouldn't cause conflicts with one another. You can use all of the civic mod together, just keep in mind that there might be some repeats (Empires Expanded, and Bug Branch both have machine cults for example), and you need a patch to use the Bug Branch with GVP. But overall nothing serious should happen.
This seems like an excellent summary of a variety of mods, but you MUST speak slower and display things on the screen for more than 2 seconds. I've never hit pause and back so many times in a single video...!
I would recommend V_Traits, since it adds 15 machine traits. Didn't mention that mod in the video since the trait section already had too many mods lol. Overall the mod has some good traits to pick so it's definetely worth installing. I just found this mod called Roleplaying Traits, which also has some machine traits in it. Idk if this mod adds any traits, but if you want some additional content for machines then there's also Machines & Robots Expansion, and from my first impression this mod has some interesting stuff in it. Overall machines are often skipped when it comes to trait mods, Trait Diversity has the biggest amount of them unfortunately :/ Hope I was able to help :D
@@michael_stellaris oh boy .. expected the worst .. and stellaris delivered! it truly is a genocide sim xD am playing xenophile rn .. guess that's why i didn't even notice the option :)
I agree, grand strategy games are not for everyone after all. Not everyone likes to stare at a map for several hours. I find it funny though that Stellaris has a PEGI 7 classification with all the war crimes you can commit lmao Not that I would change it. You don't witness anything directly anyways, you simply give out orders, but still it's kinda ironic
Ten mods? I currently have installed 200 mods. But I usually run the game with just 98. Otherwise the game will start to run slowly. So slowly that only to load the game itself it takes 15 minutes straight. But the game is cool af.
Yeah this word is difficult for me to pronounce for some reason, even when I intend to say it correctly. Oh, and I just realised youtube automatically generated chapters for this video lol (ngl this is kinda funny lmao) I forgot to disable that, thanks for pointing this out.
@@michael_stellaris huh, really? didnt know youtube did that. That's actually impressive technology for it to be able to recognise where to put the chapters. cuz the chapter titles are pretty accurate for whats being covered
Yeah it's been a thing for a while now. I think if you also google something, the browser will suggest relevant videos with highlighted chapters or fragments relevant to your search, although I think this is for PC only, so i'm not sure.
I think if you use the Irony Mod Manager, and merge your mod collection using the "compress merge" option the mods load faster. You can download it from the Stellaris Modding Den discord server, it has a separate channel dedicated to it. I would also recommend StellarStellaris although this mod is for game performance, i'm not sure if it improves mod loading speed.
You can always try out modding on your own :D You can always ask people on the Stellaris Modding Den for help, and the stellaris wiki also has some tutorials on modding.
Wait I swear I sent a response here. Alright i'll send it again. Oh okay, well I'll be honest I haven't done a regular playthrough in a while. Rn I mostly use Stellaris to test mods, so I don't have a specific modpack/ modlist. Last time I assembled a "modpack" during the second season of my roleplay series. It's a decent collection of mods, I had a lot of fun with it. Idk if all of them are up to date tho so you'll have to check. steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2784985425
Yes, keep in mind though that some civic mods might have similar civics, I think Empires Expanded and the Bug Branch both have a machine cult civic for example. Also GVP and the Bug Branch require a patch, the link is in the video's description!
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see the comment smh They should be compatible, keep in mind that some traits/civics might be similar if you're gonna use all of the civic and trait mods from the video. GVP needs a patch with the Bug Branch to work correctly, the link is in the description.

hmm what's lifestock? i never played a game where i could have those .. are they a form of primitive species or slaves or how do you get those?
