Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Man I watch you, and a few other farmers on youtube and all I want to do is get off my ass and farm. Love your content. God Bless America!
Heck yeah!! More of America needs to feel that way!!
I think Id love to take my drone out and film some farming for content like this. But its raining out this week.
Archieballz, The Raging Gamer well said.
I dreamed of being a farmer until both sets of my Grandparents sold-out by the time I was 15. Then I became a seasonal cotton ginner from 1978 - 1994. I worked at gins around my school bus driver's work hours a few of those years.
I have to agree. Watching these videos makes me wanna work on a farm as well.
Can’t deny it she is the cutest farm hand
Ahhh, I think you've misunderstood the hierarchy on this farm. She's the boss, still the cutest, but the boss.
Lol
like your youtube name 3thd year into potatoes we had an outstanding year for the potato farmer here one potato manufacture lost the barns in a fire, they needed to have a supply of potatoes they grew and sell there own potatoes for there own use they have hamburger plant too they beef cow was only was to be used now anyone can sell into the plants they never had a choice
same as to Walmart when they came knocking at the door for potatoes they paying the pieces now i do not have potatoes for Walmart have Canadian stores i can sell too and supple too
Jennifer White what?
@@mesh1248 🤣 what a load of tater tatter huh
Your daughter is a Star just like all your children ,, we are so lucky to have beautiful children. Stay lucky .
She's gonna be running the farm! She loves being with her Daddy!!
What a little Darlin! That is the reason men do what they have to do for their families. I know she is having a wonderful time with Dad.
Respect for fixing OUR American flag! You're a badass my man.
Gotta keep them maintained!
@@MillennialFarmer damn straight man! God bless you and your family.
It is GREAT to be a father! People without children just don't get it! Your daughter will cherish these memories long after everything is done.
I had a little helper, then she grew up!
Cherish these moments!
“It’s been sunny and warm for the last week. That probably means we’ll get 3 inches of snow tonight” -My Dad, earlier today
I love how out of all your kids, I can already see Isla is going to be the 6th generation farmer 😍
I have utmost respect for you and all the farmer’s out there, there are people that think farming is just driven a tractor around which your u-tube videos’s show’s them otherwise. Prayer’s 😔 to the farmer’s in Iowa and all the other farmer’s who lost there crop’s.
Isla is such a beautiful, sweet little girl. She sure does love being with her Daddy and helping. Enjoy her now, Zack, cuz as you know, they grow so quickly. P.S. The girlie-girl John Deere tractor winter hat is perfect for the little farm hand! 😍👍
She is so adorable. I think she will be the one that farms out of the two daughters.
Wow teaching her this early she’ll be running the place by 8.
Cheers for keeping us all sane in these weird times, stay safe all of you from us in the Uk 🇬🇧
When you stopped to fix that flag... Pure American right there. God Bless
Yes sir. Loved that.
As a soldier I appreciate the hell out of that!
Agreed
Amen!
👍
"Emergency case of beer" Brilliant!
the best helper in the world, and the most cutest.
I hope you guys stay healthy.
Stay safe and all the best from Vienna Austria.
Kudos to you on fixing the flag. Never have I seen someone do that, until now.
Some kneel, some drive past, few take the time and put it right, God Bless Farmers
I for one want to thank you for being a good steward to the American flag.
It is great that you teach your kids to wear gear . Amazing parenting !!
Love that you took the time to stop and fix the flag !
Ditto that, most people wouldn't have done that.
Good catch on the flag
, I'm a vet and appreciate the respect shown the flag.
Chuck Steele I’m not even American and I liked that attention paid to the flag!! Good stuff!
You with your daughter in it you make it so funny and she is a hoot!! she don't say much but you catch her in some funny things. great video thanks for taking the time to video.
Wouldn’t have been easier just to pump the DEF right off the truck, rather then having to take the door off your skid steer
That’s way easier than my suggestion!
I didn't want to deal with it at the moment and I wanted the truck for lunch!
Or roll the barrel on a pallet.
My thoughts exactly!!
Millennial Farmer
Lmao! 😂
Isla is a sweetheart! You have a fine family sir, enjoy every minute of it.
She’s definitely a cutie. She’ll be needing tractor and planter of her own to help dad before long.
It's always fun to have the "boss" helping out. I miss those days with my now adult daughters, but get the grand-daughters now and then to "boss". Thanks for sharing your day.
Worlds Cutest Farm Hand Indeed! And you should wear your seat belt sir to make your around to watch her grow-up!
Not sure if it's a macho thing, not wearing a belt, it certainly is in the UK.
The finger snap was needed on that barrel of DEF! Lol. N Isla is turning into dad's little helper. Kinda fun to watch.
5:58 You have some flappy lips Zach.. LOL that made my day
Came here to mention the same thing lol
Can't deny it. Cute little helper there. Bet she is the BOSS ;)
Hi Mr Johnson, a well meant suggestion from a father of three to another father: Please use your seatbelt for the sake of your family. Take care and be well, all the best for the coming season.
Stops...Gives Old Glory some love.
*Respect increases*
You forgot to say "THUNDUUURRRR"
Just wasn't right without hearing THUNDUURRR !
We all said it for him😂
Awesome to see kids helping, I think you got a keeper there
Got to love the “THUNDER!”
Another awesome video. I grew up farming in SW Minnesota, but joined the Navy 21 years ago and I am still active duty. I miss farming and Minnesota every single day. My brothers live near you in Brandon and Alex, so it's fun to see their weather in near "real time." Keep up the great work!
When you want to sell the skid steer, you will have forgotten where the door is.
We kept track of it with the last one because we had to move it constantly!
@@MillennialFarmer It's nice to have on during the cold, so you'll probably only need to remember where it is for 6 months.
Your daughter is so cute! I have 2 daughters of my own, 4 granddaughters a now I finally got two great grandsons. I grew up on a small dairy farm in Southwestern PA, I always wanted to be a farmer, but the farm was to small to support a family. My father always had to work off the farm to support the family. My thanks to all the farmers that work hard every day to to feed America.
U are pumpin these video's out!! Love it and thank u so much for it! Stay at home guys!
Love the pink hat with green tractors. JCB skid steers open to the side, No jumping out.
My lazy self would have pumped that 55 into thunder from the back of the truck, empty drums are easier to handle
My family purchased all of our seed from fbn. We farm 4500 acres and we saved a lot on seed and chemical this year. After your first video about fbn we signed up. It was a very good decision. Here in southern michigan planting for my family is only 2 maybe 3 if it rains . Our corn planter is ready to go. Nice video stay safe and healthy farm on!
Love your videos!! It makes my day when you post. 40° warmer than where I live.
Small RUclipsr here
4.5 hours puts you close to me in Lake City MN. Thanks for sharing your day and family.
I was just watching spring planting 2019
Thank you for fixing the flag. Shows what kind of man you are.
Not gonna lie she is so ADORABLE OMG🥺
Stopped to fix the flag that was awesome!
Your kids are great. Isla especially. Love your videos.
THUNDER! Government juice too! Ever find the remote opener on your “Skidder”? Illa is such a helper Zac.
Cute. My little girl is now 33 and I miss those cute years. Thanks for the showing us the work you have to do on a day to day basis. Good Job.
Zach, be careful of Isla getting def fluid in her eyes. And you should always wear your seat belt 😉👍🏻
Lone Pine Def is the worst thing to ever happen to a Diesel engine. Seat belts on the other hand are a tough one. We all know they save life’s, however when your road hunting they make it hard to get out of the pickup before the rooster flies away!!!!
She is a cutie! Quite the helper too.
I enjoy that you have your kids in you videos
“THUNDER”!!!
Another wonderful video in our bad times. God bless and keep safe.
i wonder if he'll just pump the DEF out when its still in the back of the truck next time... maybe save a little time ;)
She is absolutely adorable!!
When you going to get sponsored by John Deere. Don't the Welker brothers out do you..lol...
Ron B. Lol
I like your comment.
I don't know about being officially "sponsored" but there might be something exciting coming very soon.....
@@MillennialFarmer Case IH decided to sponsor you too??
All the green machines will be red soon haha
@Millennial Farmer, being that this video is now a year old, I'm sure you will never see this but I just saw the part of the video where you fixed the flag. These acts truly hit the feels and truly mean something to me. Thank you for those few seconds. From another thankful American Veteran. Stay safe and thank you for these videos
"That scared me and my hat came off" 😂😂😂 I can't stop laughing
I wish I had the camera on when it happened!!
@@MillennialFarmer did they get mud on the four-wheeler
April 1st -25 degrees 5 in of snow overnight, adding to the 1.5 feet we have left. I will take your not very nice day. Hope to be in fields by first or second week of May. Some folks up here in North Central Alberta still have 50% to combine from last year. Keep posting those great videos. Glad to se you teaching the littles about the farm and safety. Happy spring work
Cutest, no. Most adorable!! “Cute” not good enough!
Isla is such a great helper! Looks like she will run the farm for Dad when the time comes.
Why didn't you just back up to "thunder" and pumped the DEF out, and afterwards removed the drum with ease 🤔
If he would have done that he wouldn't have been able to get a new tool. Lol
That's what I was thinking exactly haha
I wanted to take the truck to lunch and worry about the DEF later, and I don't like drums getting rained on. Besides, moving barrels puts hair on your chest and I need more.
He might not have thought of that. And the door would probably still be on too.
Here’s a halfway house idea, Why didn’t you just roll the drum out the back of the pickup and onto a stack of pallets (6:12)then lift the top one, no need to take the door off then??? Then your drum is always on a pallet, easy to move full or half full or even empty if you want to play with your new toy!
As a 21 year veteran of the Army I thank you sir for the respect you show to our flag. Thank you!
Ahhh dad put a 2 ft diameter log through a windshield cleanup wasn’t fun
Cutest farm hand and a great helper❤️😘👍
You should play farming simulator 2019
He is always to busy to play games
You're so lucky to have such a wonderful family, Zack. Congrats on the whole deal! Love this channel, and "Off the Husk!" KEEP ON PLOWING!
When does the bacon seed come in? 🤨🤣
Your not wrong Zak, I can see where she get's her good looks from lol
Her Mom
@@raynonabohrer5624 Just when I was trying to make him happy lol, you are cruel lol
Now you're in my type of business, trucking logistics. You definitely need to watch your bottom line by outsourcing things that will take too much time away from the more productive things that need to be done. Again don't listen to Bloomberg, the guy who thinks farming is easy. Put a seed in the ground cover it up and let it grow. So much has changed and they don't have a clue.
She is such a great little helper! Very talkative!
so heres a question... your so anoyed with the beeping thats probably because of the seat belt... so why not wear it? :p
Would that fix it?! 🤣🤣
@@MillennialFarmer probably 😂
@@MillennialFarmer well ether that or find the buzzer and break it? Xp
@@MillennialFarmer Wear your seat belt, for Isla's sake. Seriously, its the ONLY ignorant thing you are doing.
Ayla looks like a free spirit.
im acually first?
edit: no, off by 5 seconds
Keep On Keepin On Brothers back you got your best helper with you today that's for sure won't be too much longer you be out there in the fields always a big thumbs up bro I will check out more of your podcast👍👍👍👍👊👊
Awesome farm hand
Use your pallet forks on the skid steer to pry underneath the packed snow/ice that you want to remove. Wants you pop a few areas from the cleared edge it goes quick. Then run over it all and break it up so that it can be scooped by the bucket. Had to break up ice a few times myself and found this method most effective.
Isla is the best...... make sure you get her approval on things
Isla is adorable as is your other kids and wife, Dad, etc.
With all the chaos around the world right now, it’s good to come home and watch your videos at the end of the day.
Sweet! Thank you. She's a ray of sunshine on a gray day (here and there).
5:00 that right there is a respectful hard working man. Good job sir for doing that. Stay safe and god bless
Best helper.... Ever
Thank You!
You sure have a big helper! She is very cute!
Can’t wait until planting we are starting planting in 5 weeks greetings from Germany thanks for the videos Zack
I always thought I had a good childhood growing up next to a golf course and helping out from the age of 12, but I admit I am jealous of your children they will have an amazing childhood growing up on a farm with all the toys and machines you have. Best wishes mate
Thank You for continuing to post bids. Protect your family and maintain physical distance.
Good job Isla you are Daddy's super helper!!! So much fun watching the kids having fun on the farm! I always enjoyed it as a kid myself🐄🥛😎👍 〽️
Every video i watch... i start loving your farm and this channel more and more
You need to teach Ayla the Side Eyeing Chloe.
She'd be a natural and she could use it a lot when she rides in the tractor with you.
Quiet and observative, the best farmhand or any assistant really haha. Love it, she's adorable!
You had an adorable little helper. I'm ready for it to dry up as well. Get the garden cut up and get ready to plant. Hope it's a great week. Bless you all
Yep just assistant ever. Guessing she melts your heart. 😍❤️😍
Mid 50's here today and bright sunshine. Most fields tho still have standing water. Upstate NY 15 miles north of Syracuse. Love the little "queen" Keep up the good vids
Still no THUNDER when you opened the trailer......slipping! Lol
