The issue with this is, if there is an initial viral accusation, you can then start a feedback loop of people who want to get in on the conversation who might’ve heard something and now are retroactively embellishing aspects to fit the intensity of the initial accusation when it could just be that Andrew is a bit of a pushy guy who stares too much. Aka an asshole.
You could have a guy who’s a law abiding asshole and the sensational aspect of this could morph and evolve way past what people are authentically remembering.
That’s fucking scary as shit. That’s not to say Andrew isn’t a full on predator creep. But it’s all too likely that so many guys this happens to aren’t. Just a reminder even if you don’t have evidence that doesn’t mean you weren’t assaulted, it just means you can’t put the person in prison and they probably won’t get canceled. Well actually you have evidence and those two things still might not happen. I have very little evidence for extent of my abuse I got my ex. I left before things got really bad and he was still in the stages of holding back because he hadn’t gained complete control over me yet. After talking to his other victims the abuse would really kick one once they moved in and once he drove their family away. I put moving in on hold because of red flags and my family just is not ever going to abandon me. He misread that situation because I had been venting about my mom so he thought the situation between us was a lot worse than it really was. The reason I knew how to look for these red flags and the way I got out so soon was because I had already been in an abusive relationship as a teenager. I have zero evidence of that because it happened a long time ago. All the social media from back then is gone and the phones are gone. It haunts me to think that one of these people could become a public figure and I couldn’t do anything about it and be certain about it just because they were either smart enough yo make getting proof difficult or because when it was happening I didn’t know I should hold on to it.
