We can never tell him Transmuters get the Shaft, we cant ask him about all the basics, we cant ask what the Vague Limits of Conjuration are and why a Conjurer cant mimic ALL other Types. Man, the guy won't even reveal Nen Types, let alone specific Ability-Details about DEAD Characters. The moment i heard Meruem is not a Specialist i thought 'OH! It must be strog Manipulation then. It must be. Thus it follows that manipulating a Body into crafting a Hatsu is what Meruem does to himself, Pouf does only to Others and Morena does ot Both Herself AND Others' but hey, t hats unbconfirmed

If it was just the exam arc, there isn't enough material to make crazy movesets and the roster would have nobodies that people don't care about much in addition to a few staples. You could say, "Just have it be based on the manga" but that also wouldn't make sense because then you'd be spoiling the future of the anime before the new reboot comes out.

If the roster is going to be 16 (total) it doesn’t need to be 3v3. Maybe 2v2 or 1v1 (once you zoom-in) for 3v3 I’d say make it 24 characters then you got me🤷🏽♂️
This game is a amplified Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. It uses the UMvC3 engine and modified a couple of things. Although it appears to look like a PS3 or a Wii game getting ported into modern hardware.

I hope the UI and 2D effects get a glow up ‘cause I doubt the models will get too much extra done to them. It’s interesting to compare FighterZ and this game because both use a key pose heavy animation style but it does seem like FighterZ is better about including good anticipation, and a better color range. Less shading as well on this game. I’m not an expert or anything but I think there’s a lot of simple stuff that could be time intensive but not difficult given where they are already at.
I think a bigger roster and some better UI would make a big difference to start with, then seeing the remaining budget go into improving the graphics a bit would be appreciated

Part of me wants to say they could still polish it up a bit to make it either look/perform better than we see here, but it is kind of difficult to say if that will be the case or not. Not to say this is bad, but this does look like something that would have released during the heyday of the PS2. If they wanted to capture that feeling, then mission accomplished, I guess. Still, it is early impressions and it could definitely get better when we see it next.

That game was made on the budget of a ham sandwich and worked on by like 6 people. It was by an large an indie product. And people did bitch about the graphics, but then realized the game slapped so it didn't matter.
Also the power Rangers game launched at 15-20$ if I remember right. It was budgeted fairly for what it was at launch. Anime games typically milk you dry so can't imagine this game being less than 50$

To be honest, the graphics aren’t great. It looks like a mobile game, but I don’t care. We are getting a 3 vs 3 hunter x hunter fighting game and I’m so excited. I never would’ve thought that I’ll be able to play a real hunter x hunter fighting game. This made my day
I think they can make a few tweaks before it launches, add some particle effects and animations, and it'll be up to snuff. The Greed Island stage does look good.
I don't mind the retro graphics but the animations are lacking, especially for the supers. Hopefully we get polished animations at launch. Also lets hope the roster size is way larger than this.

Officially nervous. Small roster. Flat, stiff character models (do they not have idle animations?). Dead stage designs. And overall, the normals and specials feel really same-y across characters. You got pink guy, yellow guy, green guy, blue guy, chain guy. I'm comparing UMvC3 Storms lightning attacks to Killua's, and I've gotta say the zoomed out camera is a mistake. You need the closer angle to distinguish characters and give their attacks detail and personality.
i don't mind the graphics at all, so long as they nail the gameplay, roster (doesn't need to be storm 4 level or anything, just has to include the important characters, this is hopefully the first in a series of games) and content (don't want it to be barebones with only a handful of game modes) then i'm all for it, looks really promising to me, we will see how it goes from here

I imagine it will be fun, but DBFZ still looks excellent 5 years later. This manga has such a unique and varied artstyle (as one of the best parts of DBFZ is how readable it is for a 3v3 fighter). They need to put some work in. And they better be doing 6 character seasons. Also the stages seem pretty big without full screen normals. I wonder how far this is from completion, it has no music, but it has full voice acting.
This is just a HxH mix of Marvel and BlazBlue in my opinion. I think I can see the same Drive system working here and all the systems are just taken from UMVC3. I’m super excited for this
The graphics are the biggest issue I see so far, I know people will try to make the argument it doesn't matter but in this case it does. It looks very outdated and the models just look bad, if they had a higher budget this could've been crazy but I hope the game just turns out to be fun, I would love to play this with friends and online for a while but just not sure how long it'll survive.
This game surprisingly looks better than I expected. The publisher doesn't make games like these and hardly gave the devs any money, the devs have experience in the genre but typically have talent supporting them kn their most notable games. So seeing it in motion this early not look like sgnt4 is genuinely an impressive feat to me
I understand the apprehension regarding how the game looks, and it is a fair concern. I don't know if the novelty of a new HxH game is enough to override the outdated look of the game in the eyes of the casual player. That said, this game is reminding me a lot of Battle for the Grid. It might not be the most visually polished, but I do think it has the potential to do well on strength of gameplay alone.

The gameplay looks slow and the visuals aren’t great and I doubt all of that will be fixed. And with that roster size they probably aren’t adding much or nothing post launch. With such a low budget I’m not sure what more content they could give us
I for one, am fine with a slightly smaller than average roster AS LONG as each character feels unique and distinct from one another! Yeah I can easily see Gon and Killua being the "Ryu and Ken" of Nen Impact, but I hope as more characters are revealed, they'll have fun looking playstyles and movesets!

Part of me wants to say they could still polish it up a bit to make it either look/perform better than we see here, but it is kind of difficult to say if that will be the case or not.
Not to say this is bad, but this does look like something that would have released during the heyday of the PS2. If they wanted to capture that feeling, then mission accomplished, I guess. Still, it is early impressions and it could definitely get better when we see it next.

Animes typically have better visuals. Just look at the DBZ games or even Naruto. Ultimates have a lot of fluidity too.
That game was made on the budget of a ham sandwich and worked on by like 6 people. It was by an large an indie product.

To be honest, the graphics aren’t great. It looks like a mobile game, but I don’t care. We are getting a 3 vs 3 hunter x hunter fighting game and I’m so excited. I never would’ve thought that I’ll be able to play a real hunter x hunter fighting game. This made my day
I think they can make a few tweaks before it launches, add some particle effects and animations, and it'll be up to snuff.
The Greed Island stage does look good.

I don't mind the retro graphics but the animations are lacking, especially for the supers. Hopefully we get polished animations at launch. Also lets hope the roster size is way larger than this.

Officially nervous. Small roster. Flat, stiff character models (do they not have idle animations?). Dead stage designs. And overall, the normals and specials feel really same-y across characters. You got pink guy, yellow guy, green guy, blue guy, chain guy. I'm comparing UMvC3 Storms lightning attacks to Killua's, and I've gotta say the zoomed out camera is a mistake. You need the closer angle to distinguish characters and give their attacks detail and personality.
I was scared in the first clip cause it looked choppy but in the second clip looked way better

i don't mind the graphics at all, so long as they nail the gameplay, roster (doesn't need to be storm 4 level or anything, just has to include the important characters, this is hopefully the first in a series of games) and content (don't want it to be barebones with only a handful of game modes) then i'm all for it, looks really promising to me, we will see how it goes from here

The game isn’t gonna visually improve much passed this, it had an incredibly small budget and it shows, it’s unfortunate but that’s the reality. I imagine it will be fun, but DBFZ still looks excellent 5 years later. This manga has such a unique and varied artstyle (as one of the best parts of DBFZ is how readable it is for a 3v3 fighter). They need to put some work in. And they better be doing 6 character seasons. Also the stages seem pretty big without full screen normals. I wonder how far this is from completion, it has no music, but it has full voice acting.

The graphics are the biggest issue I see so far, I know people will try to make the argument it doesn't matter but in this case it does. It looks very outdated and the models just look bad, if they had a higher budget this could've been crazy but I hope the game just turns out to be fun, I would love to play this with friends and online for a while but just not sure how long it'll survive.

This game surprisingly looks better than I expected. The publisher doesn't make games like these and hardly gave the devs any money, the devs have experience in the genre but typically have talent supporting them kn their most notable games.
So seeing it in motion this early not look like sgnt4 is genuinely an impressive feat to me

I understand the apprehension regarding how the game looks, and it is a fair concern. I don't know if the novelty of a new HxH game is enough to override the outdated look of the game in the eyes of the casual player.
That said, this game is reminding me a lot of Battle for the Grid. It might not be the most visually polished, but I do think it has the potential to do well on strength of gameplay alone.

I for one, am fine with a slightly smaller than average roster AS LONG as each character feels unique and distinct from one another! Yeah I can easily see Gon and Killua being the "Ryu and Ken" of Nen Impact, but I hope as more characters are revealed, they'll have fun looking playstyles and movesets!
