    I use 1/2 npt blu-lock elbow for 1/2 npt rain bird sprinkler heads. Some fit perfectly and some do not fit at all. I am wondering why.

  • @nholt
    @nholt 11 мСсяцСв Π½Π°Π·Π°Π΄ +1

    You just have to use a flexible swing arm and pvc is still a good choice.

    is the blue pipe comparable, compatible with poly/funny pipe ? like couplers?

    • @SprinklerWarehouse
      @SprinklerWarehouse  2 Π³ΠΎΠ΄Π° Π½Π°Π·Π°Π΄ +1

      The pipes are comparable products, however the fittings are not interchangeable.

    Are those blue thing working as the funny pipe ? Or those are different things ?

    • @harouttutundjian2578
      @harouttutundjian2578 4 Π³ΠΎΠ΄Π° Π½Π°Π·Π°Π΄

      Yes, I believe so ... instead of using funny pipe to connect the head to the main line, you use the swing elbow assembly to the main line and connect to your sprinkler body

    Ill stick with pex and a 12 inch flex adapter connecting to the head

    Blu vs eco lock??

    On surface this video seems great, but for a beginner, it has sections that are confusing or missing proper info. For example, at 1:52, right under the Pop-up sprinkler head he shows an elbow and it is not named! Between 2:44 and 2:49, he starts off great but then after attaching the swing assembly he just says "and then I screw on my sprinkler head". How did he go from non threaded end on the swing assembly to a threaded end of the sprinkler assembly? For a newby this is not very helpful:-)

    Question: My spigot has about 60-65 psi. I want to run a 3/4” pipe and use the Orbit Voyager II Professional 4” Sprinklers. How many sprinkler heads can I install for each spigot?

    • @abigrunner209
      @abigrunner209 5 Π»Π΅Ρ‚ Π½Π°Π·Π°Π΄

      Servando Pahang consult the nozzle chart that came with the voyager II and use any combination of nozzle that dose not exceed 16 GPM. You can only run 4 with 4 GPM nozzles or you could run 6 if they all had 2.5 GPM. Or 6 w/4 doing 1/4’s @2.5gpm and 2 doing 1/2’s @3gpm...

    • @noeeon9910
      @noeeon9910 3 Π³ΠΎΠ΄Π° Π½Π°Π·Π°Π΄

      Depends, how far are you spacing the popups? The nozzle chart will show you the spacing and the corresponding GPM. The GPM will affect the sizing of the pipe and the amount of heads you can put on your spigot at 65psi. At 65 psi you can run about 10 to 15 heads on a one inch line. You only want to run around 3 - 5 heads on 3/4" line due to the friction loss increase as the gallons increase inside the pipe.

    Is there a way to join this blue-lock pipe to existing PVC piping?

    • @mattmaclean7129
      @mattmaclean7129 3 Π³ΠΎΠ΄Π° Π½Π°Π·Π°Π΄ +1

      Yes … there are β€œpipe thread x blu lock” fittings

  • @AgentOffice

    What's eco lock?

    • @keithgordon6021
      @keithgordon6021 2 Π³ΠΎΠ΄Π° Π½Π°Π·Π°Π΄ +1

      ECO Lock is made by ORBIT, also flexible, but impossible to find it and fittings.

  • @StuckyJ
    @StuckyJ 8 мСсяцСв Π½Π°Π·Π°Π΄

    Old heads will continue to use pvc fitting and struggle to adjust their heads over time leading them to stick too far out of the ground and look ugly. Blu lock is such a superior option

  • @jessejames6927
    @jessejames6927 Π“ΠΎΠ΄ Π½Π°Π·Π°Π΄

    Personally I wouldn't say pro if your using Blu lock. I changed a lot that out and Personally it brakes easy

  • @VenomBG180
    @VenomBG180 Π“ΠΎΠ΄ Π½Π°Π·Π°Π΄

    Why don't people just use black 1" pipe

  • @noeeon9910
    @noeeon9910 3 Π³ΠΎΠ΄Π° Π½Π°Π·Π°Π΄ +3

    Ah I see so the easiest way to fix a broken head by the driveway is to rip the whole lateral line out in order to install blue line. That way I can use the blue line T fitting. Yeahhhhh no.

      They were demonstrating the advantage of building a system out of Blu Lock to begin with, not replacing parts of your PVC system with a Blu Lock system after it's damaged.
