I'm running a very similar setup. I have a full built rear end , stubs an 8.8 rear end with 4:11s and aluminum single piece drive shaft , it took the power down but man does it launch hard , on a dynojet it made 447/422

I have been debating on putting tsp longtube headers and the torquer v2 on my gto along with reworking my 243s but deam your car makes alot of power im running a 93 octane tune with catless midpipes into a x pipe and cutouts I dynoed 365 rwhp youre car is impressive and its nice to see the msd on a gto I was wondering about this intake and had seen some issues on the install but it seems like you got it done nicely you should make a how to thread on the forum or a video as well next time there is very few videos on/of our cars getting work done it would be nice to have some nice ones...anyway that is a tasteful upgrade and your engine bay looks great man! looking forward to seeing what you run in 1/4 mile
Thank you for the kind words. As far as a how to, I don't think I'll be doing that but hopefully in the next month I'll be helping a friend install cam and headers. Going to try to make a video of that. I highly recommend the v2 cam. I have fully CNC 243s which made some decent power. About 40ish whp. The dyno at the end reads about 10-15 hp lower than the one I have been going to. So it's damn near 500 to the tire. Join GTO trade and sale on fb.

Got MSD for my trans am didn't realize that I needed a bunch of changes on my 99 ws6 kinda bumed
That sucks. Mine was basically a bolt on since I had already moved my power steering reservoir.

What were your before numbers. Thinking about going with this over the fast.
They are basically identical in power. I picked msd because at the time everyone had fast.

question, how did u get a CAI pipe from K&N big enough to fit the throttle body?
did u special order the piping for your CAI or no?
Just used a 4 inch to 3.5 inch coupler. Ebay sells them
Have you had problems with the bolts getting loose on the intake? Seems to be a common problem. I bought one recently for my LS2 Corvette, but I think I'm going to return it and get a FAST instead.
2 years. Daily use. No issues. Maybe I'm the lucky one?

I've always used the hood to know that, the ones with the ram air style hood stock are ls2 and ls1 has the plain hood

I have those fast 46 an my tuner said he haven't heard good things about them an can't really tune them the way he wants he wants me to buy some 42 bosch ones from him.kind of think he just wants me to spend more money but my question is how it goes with your 46lbs?
My tuner had zero issues with them and had nothing negative to say about them either.
+TexasGTO hmmm makes me wounder.im going to call another tuner an see what he says.kind of weird to me an he's a good tuner I heard through the great vine.well I'm glad on ur numbers I dnt have cnc heads but I do have a stage 2 port job hopefully I can make some decent power Mike you did.oh another thing I think you should go get some paint matching color of your car an paint the msd lettering an the airforced lettering you car color an it will make it pop you have a beautiful car an I can add some spice to it with a couple of pointers.

+TexasGTO lol yeh it's cheap like 20 bux at neds you can ask them for put it in a can for you an all you do is spray it tape everything off and paper around the intake for over spray and spray it down.trust me it will look good an you also can do a grey or get the bmr strut an have that painted also your color.just those little things make it pop.if you don't want the bmr which I know you will get later lol but you can do the stock one also.but when you go down to neds give them your color code it's on google.
+TexasGTO another thing to to add to the flavor you can take your coilpack brackets off the coilovers an have them painted your color that way it will make you more happy of not having the valve covers on anymore I loved my covers to ,I'm also one of those guys that likes them like you but when I painted my brackets it made my car look real clean .check out some of my videos you should see my brackets painted it looks nice it grew on me....lol just a few pointers.
Nice numbers! My friend has an 06 GTO with very similar build except a fast102 intake, hi Glo cats and electric water pump. He put down 488. I have a ported fast 102 on my heads/cam c6 vette. I love the look of the msd but from a hp standpoint I don't think I'd gain much over the fast. Any drive ability/tune issues with the NW tab?

So it seems you gained some nice power over the fast. Am I Correct in reading that?
I would say at the end of the day they are about the same in power. I think I gained slightly more torque but about the same HP.

What year is this GTO i have a 2005 and the NW102 wouldnt work due to the wrong throttle plate the 2005 is gold and the NW is silver

did you ever run the car before you got it tuned? I have a nw 102 tb and everytime I put it on my car the idles erratically and the rpms raises by itself.
When I swap intake and TB I also did injectors. The car didn't run well with the larger injectors, so I didn't drive it. But when I had ported stock TB I didn't have any issue just putting it on.
im takming about the nick williams tb. did you have any issues with that one without a tune. i dont know if mine is defective or just needs a tune
Well I guess I was saying I didn't drive it because I did all three at once and mine didn't like the larger injector. So I don't know what it was like driving with the NW TB untuned.

My friend has a similar heads cam build to mine, although his ls2 is in a Gto, mine is a vette. With his NW102 it had drive ability issues even after the Dyno tune. It should get better once it's tuned for you, but there are forum threads on ls1tech and corvette forum where folks had problems getting the NW102 tuned properly. I went with a V max ported stock tb after seeing the issues he had.

Did you have a issue with the bolts they provided being short?
JRX/TUNING Yes. It was a packaging issue from the factory with the first production run. All you need to do is call them and they'll send you the correct length free of charge.
I just decided to use ARP intake manifold bolts for good measure
