This game really is INCREDIBLY sad and depressing. (Spoilers, kids) Shinra kills thousands for political gain. Aerith gets adopted straight out the arms of her dead mother at a train station. Nanaki finds out the true story of his father's disappearance. Dyne goes on a killing spree at an amusement park, then commits suicide after learning his daughter survived his hometown burning to the ground. "My hands are too stained..." Cid and Sheras story.

I think the remake of FF7 was nice. It will please lots of people. However, I've tried to play the original FF7 on emulator. But I considered it really sad and depressing, as you said. So, I moved to Trails in the Sky for PSP (on emulator). I'm loving it.

I know its my favorite enemy in the early game I was like no way will they keep it because it would be awkward in 3d space.

There was one FF that made a house enemy really scarey... Crystal Chronicles.
Apparently it lured travelers in thinking it was a place to stay and... Yeah. Dark.

It's been awhile since I played FF7, but I didn't catch anything in this trailer that I'd consider a spoiler. What spoilers are everyone talking about?
Daniel Wilson some of the stuff in the trailer a lot of people who played the og debated would never be in the game so it was a genuine surprise to see it there while playing instead of being spoiled by a huge trailer.

For the fun of it, I went back to watch this "Final Trailer" only after I beat the game because I didn't want any spoilers especially with people out there already playing and streaming the game and uploading content. SE, have you lost your mind? This isn't a trailer, these are huuuuuuuuuuuuuge spoilers. Glad I didn't watch this, would have ruined my entire experience.

Sephiroth is a Recurring "Hallucination" he's in the Lifestream somewhere between life and death. Manipulating Jenova's Cells.
You always kill the Real Sephiroth
(or whats left of him) when you go down into the Lifestream. By then he's not fully Human. The "Human" Sephiroth's a Manifestation of Shadowy Corruption within the Lifestream. He has Tainted it.

Think in the Shinra building that was a Sephiroth clone, Every other time was just JENOVA taking Sephiroth's form (hence why JENOVA body part fights usually happen right after)

@Snatcher Claus Some people can't be pleased. You can remake a game to the highest degree but you can't 'time machine' people back to where they were in their lives when playing the original.
@Snatcher Claus Honestly, I enjoyed the Trials of Mana demo more. FF7R is pretty and brings back the memories, but the combat just feels too chaotic. Then theres Cloud just cutting through foot soldiers with ease until a dog shows up that takes 3x as long to kill for some odd reason or a few turrets that you have to just sit there while Barret hits it for 3-5 damage for 10 seconds each to kill...
I think its supposed to be 7 (cuz ff7, sticking with the 7 theme)
@@Tabryne you obviously dont know how to play then. Guard dog literally takes about 3 more seconds to kill than guards and turrents are just as easy to kill

I remember as a child when I used to wish that the gameplay would be like the cutscenes. Guess most of us have that wish fulfilled.
I used to say this as a kid. "One day the gameplay will look like the cutscenes!"
I never though that. For me, the turn-based gameplay was perfect as is.

Watching this trailer after completing the game... I have to say this must be the worst trailer I have ever seen. They literally just spoiled the entire game, and even ruined the little new surprises like Barrett getting stabbed by Sephiroth. This is not how you do a trailer.

It may look like a spoiler for the fans of the game because we're already familiar on the characters and scenes, plots etc but newbies has absolutely no clue whats going on so this is hardly a spoiler. 4:11 that is definitely Zack! Just look at how the sword is pointing down. Zack always kept it blade side down when not in use, whereas Cloud has it blade side up.

Idk if it’s just me, but I feel like they should keep Zacks reveal the way it was, it was so interesting and confusing to see a mysterious character who we thought was cloud to come out of nowhere
I also loved how he just died by a 3 normal soldiers shooting him felt more real than the melodramatic from Crisis Core
