Dont use cold eggs to start and that also helps. Eggs do not need to be refrigerated. Most people dont buy fresh eggs so they dont know this. However if you buy eggs from the grocery store cooler you just keep them chilled from them on. Before boiling them take them out and let them come to room temp, then add them to warm water. Then warmer. Then put them in the pot.

When you have the eggs in cold water after cooking, just crack them while they are underwater, the water will get under the membrane preventing it from sticking to the whites. Without that issue its significantly harder to mess up.

    If you like soft yolks:
    - Wait until water boils
    - Leave eggs in for 6 minutes and 9 seconds (optional: add some vinegar if the egg breaks and the eggwhites come out; the vinegar keeps the whites attached)
    - Put eggs into some cold water to stop cooking and detach the eggs from the membrane (wait a few minutes)

  • @furryplantsandcoins9070

I just saw the spoon method but it was used in a different way. You use the spoon before you cook them. You tap on the can't remember which side. Until you hear a pop. Then you boil your eggs and the shell should come right off. So next time I boil eggs that's what I'm going to do. By doing that with the spoon from my understanding it breaks the membrane from the egg shell from the inside. I don't know if anybody else has ever noticed that when you boil an egg there's a film over top of it if it doesn't come off during the boiling time it's a pain in the butt cuz it will take half the egg off of it. I hope this helped others.

You should make a hole on the bottom part of the egg (with like a needle). All of the air in the egg should be pushed out of the egg while cooking (preventing the egg from breaking) and once you put the egg in cold water, a layer of water will form all around the egg under the shell (due to the leak of air in the egg, which will cause the water to be sucked inside), making peeling super easy and leaving the egg without the damn bump that it always has (which is caused by the air trapped inside)

The best way to remove egg shells from your hard boiled eggs is to put them in the pot of warm water and let boil for about ten minutes. Then put cold water in the same pot letting them soak for about fifteen minutes. Then after they are cold enough take one at a time and tap gently on each end and sides and all around and put them back into the cold water. After about five minutes take one at a time rolling them under the cold water in your pot and they'll come right off. As long as you have them in the cold water with the water soaking into the cracks of the shells that's what causes them to fall off easily. I've been doing this for years and I know you'll be happy with this method.

Another tip: pierce the bottom of the egg to pop the membrane prior to boiling in vinegared water…

My suggestion is add salt to the water. As they boil. The salt being abrasive will thinner the egg shell making it easier to peel away once you have cooled it down in cold water

No need to add vinegar, the shell weaken when it move from hot to cold temperature, the temperature shock make it weak enough to peel easily.

I’ve tried all those methods, and more. Best way I’ve found is to use an egg cooker.

I found a method that works well for me five minutes into boiling I take my spoon and the backside of it I give each egg a tap it cracks the shell thus allowing a little water in and the shell slides right off
