Actually yes, I myself have personally seen this happening a LOT. Sometimes it comes to someone’s ability to being able to grasp concepts more easily but for me I have always believed in that hard work beats talent any day. Sometimes it could also be because some people haven’t found the study technique fit for them/what suits them - I think a key factor to grades is confidence - if you believe in yourself, your results come out much better than if you’re stressed so that may also be the reason - nevertheless, don’t underestimate the power of working hard and being consistent with your effort :) I’m sure it will pay off :)

Ahh yes I get what you mean- application questions for short answers can be tricky but it comes with heaps and heaps of consistent practice. If you realise the nuances of each question you’ll be able to spot what the application in that quetsions is and be able to answer it more easily too- really the best thing to do is practice, feedback and repeat - apply the feedback given :)

Hi I’m not quite sure about cbse - I believe IGCSE Cambridge system is a UK based certificate so it is likely to have greater focus on English Language and Lit. I’d recommend doing online research abt both :)

Hi! I just read about world topper and country topper in IGCSEs. So just wanted to ask if someone can become a world topper if they get 199/200 in maths?
Hmm good question but I’m not really sure- I guess there might be congratulatory award but it’s likely that someone will get 100% because it’s math- it’s not English or a science subject so yeah I’m not sure - maybe check for other resources online ? Hope that would help 🤗
World topper in mathematics is almost always a person with 100%. Even getting a 100% does not guarantee a world top position, the student with the most clearly answered questions with the most consistency and without missing any steps will be awarded as the World Best.

I think it depends, frankly speaking I considered even my preboard preparation as prep for the final IGCSE exam so I started studying the concepts again in December when my exam was in may/June and then throughout the next few months I did loads of past papers of multiple years. I think if you’re planning to start past papers three months prior that’s a really good idea because reviewing which questions you got wrong and understanding WHY takes quite some time- this is a crucial stage in learning where you may possibly go wrong/ make mistakes in the final exam. So yeah, i think if you mean it in terms of revising the content through doing practice questions and identifying weak areas, 3 months is pretty good :) Hope this helps!

@@nihilisticnirvana I think its all in the way you see the subject and content you’re learning- for me perhaps it was because i had some amazing teachers who made lessons fun but were equally strict that I wanted to do really well in chem but my advice to you would be to take each day as it goes and try to understand the concept rather than memorising or learning it’s for the sake of an exam i would always revise with my teacher and ask questions about things I didn’t understand or why things were the way they were especially while doing past paper questions- this actually made me really enjoy chem :) try this out it might work and be helpful for you - hope it is! Good luck for your exams !

Don’t think so but just be careful because in one of my mocks I made a spelling error and my mark did get cut for that- since it’s biology they want you to be specific and reasonably speaking scientifically correct- if the meaning of the word changes then obviously the answer is wrong so just try to keep the correct spelling in mind if you tend to make spelling mistakes - hope this helps 📚👍
Ahah you can try that, but I wouldn’t fully recommend it cos getting proper knowledge on the topic can take a while 🤗 but do what works for you I guess 😅👍

i would always revise with my teacher and ask questions about things I didn’t understand or why things were the way they were especially while doing past paper questions- this actually made me really enjoy chem :) try this out it might work and be helpful for you - hope it is! Will they reduce marks for 1 spelling mistake in whole paper like cartiledge instead of cartilage ???
Don’t think so but just be careful because in one of my mocks I made a spelling error and my mark did get cut for that- since it’s biology they want you to be specific and reasonably speaking scientifically correct- if the meaning of the word changes then obviously the answer is wrong so just try to keep the correct spelling in mind if you tend to make spelling mistakes - hope this helps 📚👍
