Love you keepin your honest opinion on products and not supported from those manufacturers to you persuade consumers, but rather give us your opinion if its good or bad , and that is one of main reasons why i subscribe to your channel!!
I dont know. My old dt150s suzuki 2 stroke puts it to shame. And I am in fdl where mercs are made. At the landings lots if guys comment about how it sounds at start up. They love it.
Mercs look the best only because you can get the stripes painted the same color as you're boat. If it wasnt for that, that solid black darth vader looking sukzuki would get my vote.
Hey buddy. I just purchased a 2005 Ranger. 5 19 V X. With the 200 optimax. I live here in Wisconsin. I would love to take a trip to Lacrosse to have you guys make sure everything is all right. And everything will perform like it's supposed to. first time having this big engine. But in the past I had a 19-ft Bayliner with a 70 horsepower Johnson on it. Didn't have no problems with that. The whole time I had it. I just would like to know that I made a good investment. I'm a tournament fisherman. Thank you for making these videos. on Fridays. I watch the next video. every last one of your videos. You are hilarious. You have great content. And good information. Keep up the good work. And that's no cap.
This year marks 50 years as an outboard tech. Love watching your videos. My vote for appearance goes to Mercury, love that you can easily change colors. Great and interesting video, keep 'em coming!
First off, Andy is awesome. He helped me a lot when I bought a friend's bass boat a long time ago, the lower unit case popped over the winter. Anyway, it sounds like Susuki is probably the overall winner for big boy outboards. Have you guys done an under/over, comparison, or favorite on multi-species boats? I have started thinking about a new family boat for 2026 and would like pro and local input between the 18 to 20 foot aluminum full windshield boats (Aluma, Lowe, Lund, Vexus, Crest....)
For the midsection/exhaust housing i think it does need to be stated that Yamaha had issues from pre to 2008 models in the big engines with the exhaust plate gaskets that we are still seeing today. Exhaust gaskets blowing causing slow over heats. Required fix for recall is pulling power head and replacing the exhaust gaskets and exhaust housing.
Got a 2010 19" crestliner with a 115merc on it in 2024. Everything looks brand new and great. But for 2025 I hope to make some electrical and equipment upgrades. Thanks for all the great insights yall put out. If i had my choice on looks I think I'd have to go with suzuki.🤩🤩
The new matte Suzuki is pretty badass looking but I still love my Merc and the way that 300 sounds when it fires up is the shit. I know sound isn't included but it's just different. If only the power steering pump wasn't so dang loud!
Ultimate outboard tee! YES!! I’m a fan of the looks of the Mercury then the Suzuki followed by the Honda then the Yamaha. Happy New Year to you and the whole team.
I’m going to say just Suzuki all the way! LOL My DF50 has been a tank. It’s on my duck hunting boat and it gets BEAT ON! run thru the shallow water like a surface drive mud motor, I have had the telltale clog up with debris from nasty swamp water but it cleans out easy, caught some logs at WOT, and more and I’ve have zero problems other than I’ve ate a few props. EXCEPT for the little trim sensor lever will freeze up and not let me trim down if using in temps well below freezing.
Pro XS. followed by Suzuki Stealth. for appearance…. of coarse merc for sound. Yams for reliability. Id buy a Suzuki next go, (everyone I know that has them loves them) but my nearest service center is 150mi away meanwhile merc yam and honda are 3 mi away
I like your videos alot I learned alot. I bought a new 2024 Honda 250 it runs great . Only problem I had was bad gas from the gas pump it was mostly water. What power head would you use . Kinda hard to beat a honda you can power head parts at Napa and not pay rip off prices at the dealer
what about power head? I've got 08 250vrod replaced shaft seal spring time 80 hrs later noticed small amount of oil leaking again pisme off question for you andy is there possibility shaft is worn i noticed good groove when i replaced seal?
I stand by the sho as the toughest looking one yet. I still claim the flat paint looks cheap. But I’m old school I thought the Merc alien cowl was so cool looking in it’s day. Seems today most don’t even know what that is! Being old is terrible
Personally, I feel like the Yamaha SHO has the best appearance/look
The look of the Suzuki is pretty damn sweet! No matter what color is on the back
For the midsection love how hondas pull apart from the bottom up its quick to pull down ❤
Suzuki looks the best FOR SURE! I have 2 of them. 0 issues!!
Suzuki looks good sounds good runs awesome
I love the look of Yamaha SHOs but not gonna lie that Stealth Suzuki is sharp
Love you keepin your honest opinion on products and not supported from those manufacturers to you persuade consumers, but rather give us your opinion if its good or bad , and that is one of main reasons why i subscribe to your channel!!
Mercury startup growl is the best!
Nothing but disappointment after though.
I dont know. My old dt150s suzuki 2 stroke puts it to shame. And I am in fdl where mercs are made. At the landings lots if guys comment about how it sounds at start up. They love it.
Truth 💯
Love the look of the Suzuki Stealth. That being said, we need a t-shirt with Andy doing that See Ya! thing. That would be awesome.
#YamahaSho is my pick!!
Suzuki ss is your favorite looking, and mine also 😊
Yamaha SHO is the best looking and performing outboard of 2024 by far.
Suzuki Stealth takes the win on looks... 👀
He built the yameruki!!
Mercs look the best only because you can get the stripes painted the same color as you're boat. If it wasnt for that, that solid black darth vader looking sukzuki would get my vote.
What power head would you go with?
Suzuki
They all look good

MERCURY looks the best
Suzuki have 2 . look and run great. Easy to service
I really like the appearance of the new Honda BF350. The other v6 models are right there too.
Thanks for your support! We have done a couple
Those Suzuki's are bad ass looking engines!
V6 two strokes from the 90s are the best as far as appearance goes. The Evinrude G1 looked good too
Suzuki SS looks the best on a boat. Followed by Yamaha, Honda, Mercury.
I like look of my Mercury. Love your videos man. You got me LMFAO at times. Thanks Team Marine!
Second comment of the year. 2003 Ranger 185 with 2003 150 Yamaha VMax..Second owner still riding strong..💪🏿

I really like the look of Suzuki stealth also the new Honda 350 looks nice too .. I own a Yamaha 😊
this year is going to be awesome!!!! i got to drop my boat off to get worked on, and im excited to have a great reputable group taking care of us.
again Im a big merc guy and like the way they look, but you just cant deny how good the suzuki stealth cowlings look
I like the looks of the new SHO
Lay a heating pad on the flywheel , sometimes it doesn't take much of a temp change to pop em .
Andy make it own outboard ur knowledge is unmatched
Thanks Andy. Suzuki looks best. It’s simple looking.
SHO looks badass imo.
Yamaha looks the best by far !!
As usual another bad ass video. Love your content!

I like the look of the Suzuki ss the best
For sure need a day in the life video. Love all the shop life content and daily shop activates. Love the videos!
The new matte Suzuki is pretty badass looking but I still love my Merc and the way that 300 sounds when it fires up is the shit. I know sound isn't included but it's just different. If only the power steering pump wasn't so dang loud!
Every boat i have ever had has had a Mercury or MerCruiser, but I've always liked the look of the SHO.
Suzuki looks the best with it's clean ass appearance.
Suzuki has the best look, in my opinion.
My apperance motor look is any brand thats PAID for !!😊
Suzuki Stealth for looks just hanging on there sitting still.
Ultimate outboard tee! YES!!
I’m a fan of the looks of the Mercury then the Suzuki followed by the Honda then the Yamaha. Happy New Year to you and the whole team.
Andy the most honest fkn person alive in 2025! 👊👊😝😝😝
Yamaha SHO for the pure tuning possibility

I’m going to say just Suzuki all the way! LOL
My DF50 has been a tank. I'm a huge Suzuki fan but I have to say the Mercury is the best looking outboard.
Definitely give the look to suszuki for sure the new ss stealth
Can you please do some videos of small horsepower motors, like 60hp to 9.9hp? Thanks
We could do that. What do ya want to know about them?
the best looking outboard was the early 2000s johnson suzuki white outboards. fuck they look cool
Pro XS. followed by Suzuki Stealth. for appearance…. of coarse merc for sound. Yams for reliability. Id buy a Suzuki next go, (everyone I know that has them loves them) but my nearest service center is 150mi away meanwhile merc yam and honda are 3 mi away
SHO 💯💯👍👍
Where can I get 1!!
Introducing the
MERYAMZUDA!!
Suzuki will be my next or………opinion on putting a Verado 250 on.
This is what I'm talking about "the best"
Mercury aerodynamic appearance
It's already built, Merc. #1 for a reason.
I think if Suzuki changed their gear ratio so that merc and Yamaha props worked they would sell a ton more.
Think the best looking is the Suzuki
Suzuki looks the best!
Andy, suzuki prop shaft seem to bend easily on the newer v6 models compared to other brands. Is this true in your experience with the zukes?
From what i've seen, no! They have been super strong
Suzuki is now the best looking!!
Still looking and running good , evinrude e-tec g2 150, nice sound and looks great :) , but sadly still company down :p
I like Suzuki for looks, then Mercury R
For sound my ole 150 Mag3 had a bark
How do you fix the porpoising on a 2024 zr20 skeeter and how do you feel about wedges
Let’s see a day with Andy video!!!!!!!
I have a Yamaha SHO but the Suzuki looks the best...
What about the block : v6/v8 displacement 3.4-4 ?
We'd pick the Suzuki powerhead
Yamaha 1st
Suzuki 2nd
what about power head?
I've got 08 250vrod replaced shaft seal spring time 80 hrs later noticed small amount of oil leaking again pisme off question for you andy is there possibility shaft is worn i noticed good groove when i replaced seal?
How about the power head or did I miss that
Zuke Stealth line looks the best, but I may be biased...
I stand by the sho as the toughest looking one yet. I still claim the flat paint looks cheap. But I’m old school I thought the Merc alien cowl was so cool looking in it’s day. Seems today most don’t even know what that is! Being old is terrible
