Just a heads up, it is much closer to a Tohatsu motor than a Yamaha. You will find Tohatsu parts will fit it just fine, but Yamaha not so much. edit: also, the only difference between the 9.9 and the 15hp is the carburetor. If you buy a 15hp carb you can upgrade it.

That’s crazy. The really scary thing is how many of the items on display for sale here in America In big box stores are actually counterfeit. For example, the Bosch tools that they sell at Home Depot are not at all the same thing as the real ones. Not made in the same factory at all.
There is a $10 gasket on the rear of that Ranger transmission that has a tendency to blow out. When it does, it dumps the transmission fluid on the exhaust. This causes a fire and your truck will BURN DOWN. Ask me how I know. There is still a Ranger sized burn mark along I-295 near Gardener, Maine exit where mine burned. That was 3 years ago.......
I'm still at 7:46, but I was just thinking if the motor works maybe pull the starter off the Yamaha and see if it works on the Yamabisi. If it does might as well order another one and get it working the same as the Yamaha lol

That CE is China engineered. Which is suttily different from the EU CE mark, Conformité Européene. As in the CE and the CE are spaced further apart. Totally by accident they look almost identical.

The question I would ask is, can you get a used Yamaha or Tohatsu for the same price? Because I have to imagine even used versions of those would be more reliable than this brand new Yamabisi. If the answer to that question is no, you'd still be paying more for used, then maybe this would be worth it. But I suspect you can get reliable used name brand motors for the same or at least close enough.

The Chinese could care less about copyrights. When they clone something, it's about price. If the could cheaply make clones, they would be identical. The English is not for copyright either. The term "you get what you pay for " applies for English speaking Chinese also.

IT SHOULD use the same parts as the Yamaha its clone of.
STOP using that emergency brake, leave it in gear instead. You keep using that 3-brake and one of these times it's going to jam shut and you will be stranded.
Break in period doesn't mean "make sure you gun it alot to vary the engine speed" you knucklehead. It means you keep RPM low and varied for 6 months. Then you can start gunning it. That motor doesn't stand a chance.

Paper work required to import outboards is massive so I wouldn't be surprised if they had issues. Not sure how it is in US, but I assume around same.

I bought a Chinese pitbike built off a Honda. Just been replacing broken parts with real Honda or performance parts- so far so good lol

One thing I do know about this outboard,the fuel line is too small and restricts proper fuel flow.
The manual is a Chinese manual directly translated to English.
Yamabisi should have a logo that is 3 crossed spoons just like Yamahas crossed forks.
