On the Wrist, from off the Cuff: Rubber Dive Strap Face-Off - Hirsch vs. CrafterBlue vs. IsoFrane

  • On this episode we compare two old rivals in the battle for rubber dive strap supremacy, as well as throw a new comer into the fray. While the IsoFrane sets the bar in the segment, many have argued that the Hirsch Extreme is better or at the very least the only true contender for the crown. With that said, CrafterBlue has also offered up something very compelling. All examples in the video are in the classic orange trim and to showcase them, we have the Armida A1 42mm, a serious diver worthy of such serious strap options. Let me know what you think in the comments below, thanks.

Love my black Isofrane. Super comfy and the best looking strap of them all!
I just don't get all the comments about its lack of taper.
I love that look and never once felt that it hinders mobility.
One thing is sure, the Isofrane looks like it can withstand anything and will last forever.

Loved my orange isofrane until it started to stain : (((. I was scared of the same thing happening to my orange Oris strap, but that one seems to clean better. Nice video

I have a Crafter Blue for my Seiko Turtle and I have no complaints. I love the stainless steel keeper, but it also came with rubber keepers if you prefer.

I’m not a massive monster fan, but the Hirsch extreme must look amazing on an orange seiko monster! I’m all about the isofrane!!

Have you tried the Toxic Natos "Magnum" strap yet? I have never handled an IsoFrane, but I just bought one of the Magums and it looks VERY similar and is pretty amazing for the price. I have a hard time believing the Iso is $100 better.

Please do a review on the Borealis strap. It is highly regarded too!

I agree they are but I felt like they're a bit too closely marketed as just a cheaper IsoFrane to be included in this comparison. Maybe, in a future segment, thanks for the input though.

I've tried many different rubber straps on my Planet Ocean, including the $250 original Omega strap. Isofrane is by far the best quality and best looking. Worth every penny.

Don Harrold Agreed on the quality, just wish the offered tapered designs

The ISOfrane straps are awesome. They back their product all the way through and the after care service is great. Should we get any returned due to a rare fault then they are replaced swiftly.
We stock all three of the brands in this video, all have their strengths.

I owned my SBBN045 for about a week and a half before a young lady running the cash register at a restaurant commented that she liked my watch. She was a self proclaimed "Watch Girl".

Isofrane are grest but tarnished easily. Don't figure out hot to remove the stains effectively

Isofrane and crafterblue are amazing. If crafterblue is cheaper than the expensive isofrane, then this fact gives some points to crafterblue

Yes isofrane can but i.wouldnt recommend it. Just order the tgin spring bars with 1.1mm ends from seller twenty-0. Trust me its a bitch too get the fatbars out when their in..

    • @oktc68
      @oktc68 2 года назад

No! The all singing and all dancing Isofrane recommends using 1.8mm skinny spring bars to hold on to your presumably expensive dive watch. Significant stress would be placed on the surrounding rubber if you force a fat boy thru that tight little hole. Desperately in need of an update IMO could do with a taper down the length and the thickness to bring it in to the 21st century instead of resting on their laurels, especially at that price.

Like them all. I think the Crafter Blue looks the most premium design and the Hirsch is definitely the funkiest. Isofrane is practical but looks a little less stylish altho'you could argue that is it's style, utilitarian. Would find it difficult to part with the asking price of the Isofrane considering the availability of high quality Italian rubber versions that cost a third of the price. Was this sponsored by Tango? 😉
