Life lessons are still lessons, wether they are in a group or individually learned… a family with one, two or three kids has different life lessons growing up than families with more. Not all lessons that are learned in one-on-one time are good, or needed lessons… selfishness is one, an only child will not learn how to share like kids with many siblings will… so to say the kids “need” the individual attention, I believe that to be not accurate. If you want kids it’s pretty depressing that economic reasons hold you back. Kids are expensive for sure but the reality is you give up other stuff for them. Now 19 kids. Yeah obviously you need some sort of insane income to make that work but everyone should be able to afford one or two. Now the other side of that is if you don’t want kids, don’t have kids. Nothing wrong with it. Everyone is built differently. As long as it’s a genuine choice it’s valid. But not having one or two because you don’t feel you could afford it is a scary place to be :(
Thank you for being smart. However, it does just work out somehow IF you wait until you have a stable, decent income. My husband and I decided to move forward with having children (kind of the ONLY reason we got married, dated 10 years before being married), we discussed childcare before having a child, found my MIL would watch our child for free so we moved forward. When my FIL became terminally ill things changed drastically and I was forced to either work full time or quit to watch our kids. My income was not worth the cost of daycare and I stayed home. It was a struggle for a while but in the end it was the right choice. Now I have one in college and two quickly approaching college age. I’m lucky my husband makes triple what I would make (he’s an engineer and I was a public school teacher). If we both were making the same income I would have NEVER had children. Also, if I had known having our children would destroy my health (I am unable to return to work after having our children) I probably would not have had all three or any for that matter. I am extremely grateful for my children. They have made my life worth living but had money been more of an issue I don’t think I would say the same thing. I’m willing to be fifty next year. Unfortunately, I’m stuck in an eighty year old body right now because pregnancy aged me far quicker than the years have. I would be traveling, doing hobbies I’ve only dreamed of, have EVERYTHING my heart desires, as well as, a home that could be shown in magazines but I chose children. I don’t regret it because my children bring me more joy than ANY material object could but I definitely understand what I gave up for them to be here. I understood that decision long before I got pregnant with the first one. I made that sacrifice willingly and I would do it again but it’s nice to see people actually THINK before popping out a bunch of kids THEN try to figure out how to pay for them only to resent the kids because they didn’t get the life they wanted. I could be driving my dream car, living in my dream house, living my dream life but I willingly gave that dream up for my kids. I live in a small house, drive a family mini van, and question many of my purchases because I need to value the family over my desires. Good on you for being self aware enough to realize you may not be able to meet a child’s needs. More than likely would have been a great parent AND if you ever feel you want kids PLEASE consider fostering. It offers the best of both worlds. GOOD foster homes are in so much demand it’s crazy. I bet you would be amazing at it. Best wishes to you.
#1 would have to get my vote for for stupidest heckle, mostly because having a lot of kids isn't what diversity is about... Also, that whole 19 and counting thing aged really badly.... yeah, they could afford the kids, but they clearly didn't raise at least one of them right.
I feel like they didn't raise any of them right since they taught every one of their daughters that they are supposed to allow men to do anything they want to them because they're essentially worthless. I despise those parents. They had that many kids and managed to fail every one of them. For some reason it seems to be people who are the worst parents that have the most children.
I had to explain to someone recently why the phrase "different vibe" doesn't have political connotations 🙄 they were, naturally, a Trump fan. Those people get offended or uppity at the slightest thing.
The best line EVER!! “ you can get offended all you want, but were you offended when I said the other shit? or only when it applied to you?” I have used this line before… co-workers joking around, being a bunch of “typical men”, when one got offended. That line fit in perfectly!! Another line I like (not sure who said it) “offence is never given. It is only taken” Nothing is more true… Life is so much better once you stop taking offence!
*South Park Season 20 Episode 5* called _“Douche and a Danish”_ Trump aka Garrison says (3 minutes 25 seconds in) 🤡🗯 “You leavin’? … I’m sorry, did I offend you? Where did I lose you, honey❓ So you’ve been okay with the ‘Fk everyone to death’ and all the Muslim and Mexican sh💩t … but ‘fingers in the butt’ did it for ya? Cool I just wanted to see your line was. ….. Oh jeez you were SO ON BOARD, I can’t believe I let that little offensive remark _slip._ 😏 Poor girls. Did you get your feelings hurt after cheering for ‘fk all the immigrants’ Jeez I’m sorry. Jeez.” It’s as relevant and revealing about their faux morals/values today as it was then❗️
That is the ultimate truth it's all about power and control... If all the jokes you like end up being about one group of people you don't belong to and magically when someone jokes about the groups you belong too you want them to shut up... Seems to be about power and control
I came from eight kids as well, had no money but my dad and mom were following the Catholic churches orders not to use contraception and saw the babies kept coming. We were poor but at least we didn’t have to go on welfare because we weren’t that poor and I have wonderful brothers and sisters

Well with the impending overturning of Roe v Wade, and no doubt Republicans going after Birth Control as well, that section of the routine will be all too real.
It occurred to me the other day that the white guys cheering over Roe vs Wade being overturned have not thought about how much child support they may end up paying out.
Not true. The legality of abortion was just given to each state, where it should have always been, since the federal government does not have the constitutional authority to make abortion completely legal or illegal. 10th Amendment.
@@paulhutchison815 THAT'S BS and you know it, this is how the Republicans have always sold in, and a LOT of the states had ANTI-ABORTION Laws already in place, and set to be implemented the SECOND Roe v Wade was overturned. IF the Republicans were honest about States Rights, then they wouldn't be making laws to make it ILLEGAL to cross state lines to get an abortion.

Both my parents come from large families. My mother is the fifth of seven children. My dad is the ninth of ten. (Though in the case of my dad's family, the tenth baby was born with some kind of birth defect and didn't survive, so he was essentially the youngest.) Now, neither of my parents grew up poor. My mom's family was lower middle class, but they were never in danger of not having enough to eat or anything. ...Tellingly, though, my parents only had two children, and the most any of their siblings had was four.

Yo. 19 kids is ridiculous. You'd need a full time job for food alone. Even if you somehow managed to make meals cost only $0.50 a person that's still $9.5, a meal -> $28.5 a day -> $199.5 a week -> $10,400 a year. And that's just for food. At 50 cents a meal/person. It'd probably be more. And I can't imagine the cost of the fucking dormitory you'd need to house everyone. Or the cost of clothes, medical costs, school stuff. Etc etc. Quite frankly the amount of money your household would have to make each year would have to be insane. Its good that by the time you'd make the 19th the first few would either have a job or would have moved. But that still likely means a minimum of 15 people in the house at any given time. And having 5 or 6 teens at any given time could potentially help with the younger ones. But fuck dude.
Agreed with people having too many kids that they can’t take care of. Living in Utah as a non-Mormon, I see this all the time with people having 7-12 kids with a shit job. My wife and I decided to have two children because I work as a Firefighter/Paramedic and also as a part time flight paramedic and make about 95k a year with both jobs. I feel that we can comfortably support two kids with my income. I have a neighbor that has 8 kids and works part time and spends the rest of his time playing video games, it’s sad to see those kids struggle. If you have the means and patience to have a litter of kids, you do you!
I was never in the right place financially, emotionally, physically, mentally, relationship-wise, all at the same time, so I never had kids. I'm 46 and it's pretty guaranteed I will never have kids. And that kills me. I cry about it as I want to be a mother more than anything. But I'm proud I put my unborn kids ahead of myself. I wish more people did. There are way too many crappy parents out there. I would have been a good one but it was never the right time. If only everyone would be more prepared and dedicated to be parents than most of them are. (And no, I never had an abortion. I simply never let myself get pregnant.) You should have to take a test before being allowed to be a parent. And forced sterilization should be a thing with some people. By the way, anybody who thinks 19 kids isn't a lot is freaking crazy. If their 20th, who died, had lived, and if all 20 kids had 20 kids of their own, these people would have 400 grandchildren. That's not normal!
It was, not all that long ago. My mother’s mother was one of 13. Not only that, 3 died in infancy and they adopted children to take their place, children from families in poverty at that. All of the 13 grew up to decent positions in society. But everyone took care of each other, and they all worked on the farm and in the orchard.
@@sophierobinson2738 My grandmother was 1 of 5, my other one was 1 of 6. My own mother was 1 of 5. 20 kids is extreme. 13 is a lot too, but 20 is almost unheard of.
@@meganbarber3599 Definitely. Of course, 'way back when', there was a lot of infant mortality. I've found families that had many children, and 3 or 4 died before age 2or 3. Sad little monuments on Find A Grave.
There are other ways to be a mother. You can adopt or foster those millions of kids out there that have started life without some of the advantages of two-parent families, etc.
How many kids can you actually have before you are actually just neglecting some of them because there are not enough hours in the day? Like you can have a lot of kids and feasibly with age differences more than a few for sure but at some point you actually do not have time daily to spend on each kid as they need. It's just an old tradition that mattered a lot more when most kids didn't survive to be adults and should probably just go out of fashion. Lol Also yeah the second one is rough what a complete self absorbed jerk.
2:29 I couldn't resist yelling out "well not anymore", sorry bud unless you're doing better without, then good on ya! Cant wait to see your set in Tempe at the Improv!
Not only all the legitimate points you raised, but people who keep irresponsibly having children are actively choosing to make their existing children's lives harder just for their own immediate gratification. It means less stability, resources like food, clothing, scool supplies, less one to one quality time with each child; if the parents lose their jobs it means things get worse for the whole family a lot quicker. I completely agree with your perspective, and how you handled the heckler.
I like Steve’s way of doing political comedy. He won’t outright tell you who to vote for, but he will remind you why voting a certain way is stupid. And with the exception of a few slight exaggerations for the sake of comedy he’s right on the money.

It might be about diversity if they are half-siblings
Idiocracy at work 😂
They have older siblings assist in raising their younger siblings. It’s a really messed up, cruel system.
I had to explain to someone recently why the phrase "different vibe" doesn't have political connotations 🙄 they were, naturally, a Trump fan. Those people get offended or uppity at the slightest thing.
How did they think it WAS political? That doesn’t even make sense. I swear they have to be the dumbest people on the planet. 🤦🏻♀️
Ok 6:56 is actually comedic genius. Bravo dude
Parking joke on point
I've known people who had more kids than they could feed. It's sickening...
But everybody thinks "welfare moms" are rich. It is delusional thinking.

The best line EVER!!
“ you can get offended all you want, but were you offended when I said the other shit? or only when it applied to you?”
I have used this line before… co-workers joking around, being a bunch of “typical men”, when one got offended. That line fit in perfectly!!
Another line I like (not sure who said it) “offence is never given. It is only taken”
Nothing is more true… Life is so much better once you stop taking offence!
*South Park Season 20 Episode 5* called _“Douche and a Danish”_
Trump aka Garrison says (3 minutes 25 seconds in)
🤡🗯 “You leavin’? … I’m sorry, did I offend you? Where did I lose you, honey❓
So you’ve been okay with the ‘Fk everyone to death’ and all the Muslim and Mexican sh💩t … but ‘fingers in the butt’ did it for ya?
Cool I just wanted to see your line was. ….. Oh jeez you were SO ON BOARD, I can’t believe I let that little offensive remark _slip._ 😏
Poor girls.
Did you get your feelings hurt after cheering for ‘fk all the immigrants’
Jeez I’m sorry. Jeez.”
It’s as relevant and revealing about their faux morals/values today as it was then❗️
That is the ultimate truth it's all about power and control... If all the jokes you like end up being about one group of people you don't belong to and magically when someone jokes about the groups you belong too you want them to shut up... Seems to be about power and control
I love this. Keep making people laugh. You are good at your job!
Thanks for the laughs
Steve: Someone hand me the pliers, this one swallowed the hook, the line, and the damn sinker!
I am so glad Leigh Magowen introduced you to me on her podcast. YOU ARE HILARIOUS!!!
The large families are due to religious ignorance, you can't use a contraceptive, it's a sin! Came from family of 8 kids, they couldn't afford 1!
Not really religious ignorance. Religions need the people who believe to have more kids, it is just a way to keep the religion going.
I came from eight kids as well, had no money but my dad and mom were following the Catholic churches orders not to use contraception and saw the babies kept coming. We were poor but at least we didn’t have to go on welfare because we weren’t that poor and I have wonderful brothers and sisters
This right here is why I love you!
The boss doesn't consider how many kids you have to feed when it comes to your paycheck.
Great job Steve. Leveler comedian talented. Very smooth delivery and great factual representation. Love your shows, I will look to support you out in the wilds.
Thanks!
@@paulhutchison815 No. It's not how it should be. It's none of anyone's business besides the Doctor and the patient
@@paulhutchison815 let me pose a question for you: if you had a broken leg, and the government told you that it wasn’t “medically significant” for you to have treatment, would you be upset? Especially if it got worse, and worse, until the point you could die?

Tough decision, they are both good!
I talk in my sleep... Once I apparently very CLEARLY said " FUCKIN SARAH PALIN!!"🤭
It's so funny when people tattle on themselves because they know they screwed up and feel a need to defend an imaginary scenario because their real life mirrors it.
Dude, you kill me!
Funny how 90 percent of the crowd gets the trump jokes.
I really read the title wrong 🤣🤣🤣
As Ricky Gervais said doesn’t matter what you say someone’s going to be offended 🤷🏻♀️
Always enjoying your shows on you tube
One is more than enough!
haven't seen your stuff since I caught your show in Amsterdam. been wanting to see you again but I forgot your name cuz i was high af that day... all hail the algorythm!
Ah, I love ya bud👍🏽
#Trumpheckler - How the hell were they allowed in halfway through the set? Was there a break? If there wasn't a break they should have been refused entry and told no refunds, goodbye. - or stronger words to that effect.
Phuck yea! Hilarious shyt! I would definitely get tickets to your show if I knew you were coming to the Spokane area!! I've watched so many of your videos, but I really want to see you live some day! :)
He’s so quick witted 🤣 I love it!
Brilliant as ever! Then, and now.
@@sophierobinson2738 That IS very sad.
Lol
Also yeah the second one is rough what a complete self absorbed jerk.
7:00 Steve you explain the movie Idiocracy.
“They’re not looking for welfare”
They are!
“What’s wrong with that?”
The backpedaling off a cliff
Oh my God she sounds like a character in Up The Long Ladder
I’m voting for #17.
"19 and Counting" got up to 21 and must be up to 30 by now !!

If you could put CC on your vids this deafie would appreciate it! Loved this one 😂
I like Steve’s way of doing political comedy. He won’t outright tell you who to vote for, but he will remind you why voting a certain way is stupid. And with the exception of a few slight exaggerations for the sake of comedy he’s right on the money.
Hecklers are interesting. I can also imagine him doing the mental calculations of how likely it is that she or a date or significant other will assault him.
re-upload due to second round?
Wish the sound was better-- lots of stuff came out garbled, and most of the rest is great stuff. I want to hear every word but I can't.

Steve good stuff. Brother you are a funny dude
I'm so early that the voting site hasn't updated to 2nd round yet :D

I always wondered about this issue. I think it is possibly laziness and wanting to feel special and important. My dad said have as many kids as you want as long as YOU take care of them. I think he meant without the state stepping in.
At 19 kids it is not 'too many' anymore..
It's 'too much' xD
Nope, it's "quiverfull".

I stand by my comment. There's nothing to feel special about saying "2nd", let alone going to the trouble of making another comment to state how exalted you feel about writing such banality in the first place.
@@mrmojomajestic8317 There's also nothing to feel special about saying 'You really shouldn't'... It was just a comment, banal or not. According to "How To Win Friends and Influence People", what most people want is a "feeling of importance". It isn't hurting you to let the OP have it. Unless... Is this how you get yours? By correcting people? And, for that matter, is it how I get mine? All things considered, if that's the case, the OP probably has a more healthy way of going about it, at the very least, because they aren't tearing anyone else down to build themselves up... Just a thought.
@@mrmojomajestic8317 their first comment was the vote saying the "2nd" heckler then they commented about how excited they were that theirs was the second comment.. who care if they want to post 2 or 15 comments lol
