I have a problem with squatters 'taking over' but; my contempt's directed more towards the so-called 'moneyed class' in that the latter would let salvageable structures fall to pieces.

Which world do you live in? Of course Brazil is a problematic country and the government couldn´t care less. People in precarious areas have to pick up the slack.
