Personally I would love to hear more about the Aquarium! Love them funky aquatic guys, And the video, as always, has been very fun to watch, I was definitely taking some notes!
Wow, this is such a great setup. Also, love this style of video. I would love to see more videos that are not necessarily game dev related but maybe more about nutrition, workout, and other topics (like mental health!)
his effort for view$ is worth it. I watched his whole video so I can see more about his stuff. I love his desk setup it's fantastic and his physique. Programmers I usually know are fat.
Absolutely! You should join his Discord server if you want more interactions as well as quick stream updates! (pssst, everybody should do this, come one come all)
Nice video! Personally I would like to hear about your job and what kind of software you work on, tools you use and how you balance work and personal life :)
Love your setup! It's giving some lovely and chill vibes :) Good for work and some relaxation! Just a question, I love your wallpapers, could you maybe list them :D?
Damn you have the same keyboard as me. I didn't think I would ever see another soul with the same keyboard. I only found it after going down a mechanical keyboard rabbit hole.
Heya there, been on the channel for a long time I recently got into and started learning how to code with python cause coding interests me I just started a couple days ago and need some advice after python, what programming language should I do next?
This is a fantastic video and a beautiful setup, you really have created a cosy office, and I think the word Hygge fits it pretty spot on honestly x) - Can't wait to have my own place in the near future and be able to create a setup similar to yours (may need to ask you for advice!)
I see you changed from the curved monitor you used to have on the desk in previous videos. I currently also have had what's basically an HDTV with multiple inputs for many years, and it's been awesome being able to switch between devices like that, even watching actual TV... though mine is "only" 26 inches. Also: I recognize Subnautica, as I've been playing that all summer.
New to the channel and I have to say I am loving your style. It's so calming and interesting to watch your videos, the pace and edit are really nice. Very cool setup, and much respect for the disclaimer about this not being a barrier to entry at the beginning. Question: have you ever tried / considered a raising desk?
My home computer has 8GB RAM from when it still used Microsoft Windows 10. Now that it permanently uses GNU/Linux instead I will soon buy a 4GB RAM chip to downgrade my RAM so that I am forced to better optimize my games. Its first Linux installation used Linux Mint, and its second one used Debian with LXDE desktop enviroment. Now I re-installed Debian but I use a minimal Openbox Window Manager setup so that I don't have excess programs and UIs on my home computer: Complete with the solid black wallpaper and no taskbar and no possibility for desktop icons and no real file manager (I use the built-in file management commands) and no trashbin and no graphical login screen. And I also don't need a compositor, since I want the graphics card to focus more on rendering the programs themselves and less the stuff around them that I barely pay attention to.
Does your shoulders fits OK in this kind of chairs? Same question about feelings in the neck and back (P.S. I found my self not so comfortable to use such chair for working 8h per day… Sadly it was after I bought it for home and office setups…)
I have a suggestion for an organism for your game. The Axolotl is an amphibian commonly found in Mexico. The Axolotl has recently exploded in popularity. It's honestly quite cute and are also critically endangered.
Putting a pile of books under my monitor so that it's high enogh for comfortable viewing is the one difference between liking to sit at my computer and wanting to avoid it as much as possible.
Damn, that's such a nice setup. That is very high tier. I am jealous. (obligatory request that everybody join the official Discord server if they can, very subtle plug for more friends to join us and make the duck army stronger)
Curious to hear more about the tank. I just binged a ton of videos on the walstad method after watching this, and really would love to know what plants you're using specifically.
Changing the TV Source to switch between Mac/PC/Xbox is very smart! How do you also change the Keyboard/Mouse to connect to the appropriate machine you are currently viewing?
@@DevDuck I'm currently using a MacBook for Uni and development, and a desktop PC for gaming and it's always a hassle switching between mouse and keyboard when changing from one machine to the other. Would you mind pointing out the exact model of your USB switch? I can't seem to find a lot of information about them on the internet so I would appreciate your recommendation!
@@finnsaile659 This is old already, but have you had any luck finding that usb switch? I'm looking for something similar and I cannot work out from the video how DevDuck is doing this. If he just hooks up the tv to a mac and has a usb switch as well, that'd be two cabled per laptop - not really that practical. Not to mention both his keyboard and mouse being BT, changing those between all the deivces using BT, while possible, cannot be the most streamlined. I'd really love to see some in-depth explanation on that.
which usb switch do you use? I've been looking for one use between my work and home pc but when I try to connect my blue yeti to any usb hub it doesn't want to work yet yours seems to be working well
Going a bit over the top is part of the fun! Loved your study tour! Definitely given me some morning inspiration to get into my study and continue on my game! Have a good one!
I'm a flooring installer and another good reason to use those mats on the carpet is the wheels wreck it pretty quick. They can delaminate the carpet and it will wrinkle and won't be able to be restretched.
What's coding like on such a big monitor/tv? It looks to me like the text is really small and especially so far away from you it seems like it would be hard to read.
Loved this video! One day I'm gonna have a setup that's this good -- not today, but some day... **looks wistfully into binary sunset, the Force theme swelling in the background**
Nice setup. I like the idea of having a couch in my home office now that I'm seeing this. In the next year or so I also want to get a new display and I'm torn between an ultrawide and an LG OLED. Also, I just got a Herman Miller chair after having a relatively cheap chair for about 6 years. I have back problems, and the chair I have now has helped so much. Would definitely recommend them.
Dope setup man! My favorite aspect has to be all the greenery around your desk 😊 I've been slowly getting more plants for my desk but it's starting to get too cluttered haha
Hello, first I would like to thank you for the videos, and inspiring work; one question, did you have any problems reaching 4k 60hz with MacBook connected to the TV?
Oh…I should really pay more attention I see you have over 100,000 subscribers… So I guess the likelihood of communication is pretty slow LOL well either way I look forward to learning from your videos thank you
Hey man. You mentioned you have a switch for your peripherals. What are you referring to? I have kind of a similar set up, but i manually unplug my mouse/kb and plug it into my work macbook in the morning. I'd love to have a simple switch that lets me switch between my gaming pc and work laptop.
Wow I am watching this on my main TV while trying to figure out my set up because I actually bought that same TV for the same reasons. Right now I have a MacBook Air no cable set up I’m using screen mirroring but I am trying to figure out how to set my settings on the TV and at some point I need to get a new computer set up and everything. I have a friend that would love to learn more about your fish set up, as for me I love the flow and tone of your video and the detail that you were giving. I don’t know how your other videos are but this video has caused me to hit the subscription button. As far as my purpose, I am brand new to game dev, And I am working in unity. I would very much like to learn how to get everything set up the way you have it as far as your display hiding icons and stuff like that because I am very worried about burn in. I don’t have a whole lot of money to spend on stuff so I’m limited in that area at the moment. I grew up on windows so I know the window system moderately well however while I’m trying to learn game development I’m also trying to learn how to use a Mac. I’ll have to look in a little bit but if there’s a way to communicate to you that would be absolutely fantastic! Not ask 1 million questions but may be a few in like a discord or some thing. GREAT VIDEO!
do you have any heat/throttling problems with macbook while connected to external monitor with internal monitor enabled? i mean, there are 210 pages of discussions on this topic on macrummors
I'm wanting to get this table for my new desk but concerned about the support on the table, do you find it limits leg room and do you hit your shins on it?

that IKEA dining table looks actually pretty practical as a desk
It's needed for most 42 inch and plus monitor sizes
What's is that black, gray, and red keyboard?
Hi devduck ! Great video and setup :)
What are you using to split your screen in multiple parts ?
For some reason, my comment keeps getting removed, or maybe it just isn't being sent, but he is using Microsoft powertoys.
