You're the only one I seen that showcases a UPS. Very nice. Everyone else focuses on aesthetics, instead of protective/preventative measures. One tip is that you can put the UPS on a CPU rolling stand or a cart with wheels so it's not directly on the carpet.
8:16 A UPS is a must!!! Also, the first time power kicks out on you and it kicks in, it's incredibly rewarding to just be able to chug on working in a blackout.

Oh yes. I have backups of each project on their own drives. Every shoot has a master & backup drive budget so one goes with me (then copied to the raid) and the backup drive lives with the client.
We gotta' get you set up on Unraid! We could put it anywhere in the house (assume we can run LAN there). Can put all the drives in there including however many you desire for parity then throw a 1 or 2 tb NVME in as a cache drive for fast access to current/recent files. Aside from that, YMH is the best podcast on RUclips :D

Great setup! I would suggest moving that hard drive enclosure away from your speaker. I'd be worried about the magnets in that speaker messing with data on the drives.
I'd get the power cables plugged into your wall sockets off the carpet by sticking some 3M self-adhesive hooks on the wall and laying the cables on them 👌🏻
Those magnets in your speakers will wreak havoc on your monitors, get some speaker wall mounts 3D printed and set them up like an fm radio studio up on the wall.. The Amazon grey tiles are stunning behind the oled!

Cool office, but why not just move the desk over to where the TV is at, mount the TV to the wall above the desk with a full motion vertical wall-mount (so that you can pull it down over the screen when watching movies etc) and save up all space by the window? Just curious
Looks cool, man. If you didn't need the two small monitors, the speakers would look so much better standing up. But it is what it is. It is functional and still looks pretty good.

The only note I had while watching was to maybe get some speaker pads that would angle those Edifiers up towards your ears a little bit, right now they look like they're just kinda pointed at your chest. 7:13 I have this chair and I installed an aftermarket hydraulic cylinder and wheels. Now it goes as high as my standing desk can and also rolls over carpet with ease. I have the second gen of the chair. It's almost too adjustable for my needs. I do like being able to tilt the angle of the seat and its proximity to the backrest
3 years in and the cushion on MY autonomous Ergochair's seat is still quite soft and firm. While I agree the cushion could be done better, its still holding up just like the day i got it. And that bottom out isn't really harsh at all for me, though I AM only 130 LOL!

The first day I worked in a 3D Studio 20 years ago (I'm a 2D/3D artist), a battery backup is a must for each computer and everyone I know in the field has one at work and at home. I have a battery backup for my home computers since then and it saves me a couple of time on different occasion. It's almost non existent on RUclips Desk setup! :) Everyone has a clean and minimalist setup that looks unreal! 😀

One of the best things I did for my desk is run 10G Ethernet to it. All of those spinning disks moved to a Synology NAS in a spare room so I don’t have to see it or hear it.

Damn I wish I had straight walls...I have basically a attic room, and designing it has been hard, because I can't really put much on the walls without it looking weird.

Ended up putting two tables I had together to make a corner desk (One desk being higher than other lol) and messed up the pain job bad because of where the wall slants out being really hard to paint straight and the tape not sticking. Nightmare fuel but the room is coming together.
Have you compared using a 34" or 38" UW screen instead of the 32" as your main screen? And if so, what did you like/dislike about them. I'm considering upgrading from my 2 x 24" (16:10) screens to a larger main monitor 32" / 34" / 38" while still keeping one for a secondary screen in portrait mode. Haven't decided the best option yet.

Thanks Ryan!! Those panels are super easy to install. They have an adhesive back that you peel. I placed them around the existing tv mount and had to cut a few to fit close to the mount.
Great setup and as an IT professional, I love seeing folks include a UPS (battery backup) in their setup. I had that Autonomous chair at one point, sorry to say that it looks great but it is an awful chair. Had to return it and bought a Mirra 2. Consider looking at something from Herman Miller or Steelcase when you are ready to upgrade.

I'm also an advocate for having a primary monitor dead center, and one or two secondary monitors off to the side. The center one if your main focus and the side ones are for reference material. I don't understand how people use two monitors side by side with the seam at 12:00. You're constantly either looking left or right.

I hope you do have backup of that storage too. That raid array only protects you from harddrive failure, not flooding, fire, theft, power surge etc.

Thanks Ryan!! Those panels are super easy to install. They have an adhesive back that you peel.
I placed them around the existing tv mount and had to cut a few to fit close to the mount.

Great setup and as an IT professional, I love seeing folks include a UPS (battery backup) in their setup. I had that Autonomous chair at one point, sorry to say that it looks great but it is an awful chair. Had to return it and bought a Mirra 2. Consider looking at something from Herman Miller or Steelcase when you are ready to upgrade.

I'm also an advocate for having a primary monitor dead center, and one or two secondary monitors off to the side. The center one if your main focus and the side ones are for reference material.
I don't understand how people use two monitors side by side with the seam at 12:00. You're constantly either looking left or right.
Yes! I did the split screen for a while and always found myself sitting further to one side of the desk so I wasn’t turning my head the entire time.
