    One thing I’ve learned watching these is that you seem to have to bring a weapon to the pitch and use it to get a red card 😂

      The first two were definitely red. Then I lost count of the peelback hits. Maybe an amputation would warrant a red card... Two feets studs up, on plant foot, from behind? Warning first. The girls fouls were downright brutal, I think a few of them were wearing the numbers of their favorite linebackers from football.

      I play old-timer league in Ontario and I can guarantee you if they would give red cards like they should, they would have to cancel the season halfway through because most teams would have too many suspended players.
      Soccer in Canada is different :D

      I've been tackled from behind with pure intent to injure multiple times and sometimes not even seen a card.
      It depends a bit on the league as well, but for some reason Ontario is notorious for the somewhat "soft" officiating.

    What amazes me the most isnt the lack of red cards, but the fact these fauls dont end up in brawls or stronger discussions. Ive seen some messy fights over a lot less.

      What do you mean? Their defensive ability is impeccable. A simple two footed dropkick to the chest, no card AND the attack is stopped. Perfect.

    I think that what happened at 8:00 is that the players are so used to erroneous offside calls against attackers that they couldn't handle it when the no call was correctly made.

    You should rename this to its proper title "I'm a referee and don't know what a red card is and most likely don't call the fouls that control the game properly before emotions get out of control... Oh now people know they can hurt each other and never see a red, so they do". Maybe a little long, but not a bad working title 👍

      That referee really doesn't know how to give red cards, I have seen multiple faults slide by that deserved dark red and he only ends up giving yellow.

    What's more entertaining than the fouls are the "explanations" afterwards...like "Nooo, I didn't roundhouse backfist him!! I put my arm out to show him how much time we had on my wrist watch and his face slammed into my fist..." Too funny.

    We have a simple rule in our kids league:
    Any misbehaviour by parents or coaches results in a yellow card for a random kid on the team. Works like magic.

      Another thing is when you give a red card there's ALOT of paperwork that's involved... thus the reluctance to give reds willy nilly. Especially if it's not League 1 or CPL.

    At 9:42, I wanna feel bad for the keeper, but there’s also footage of him trying to break another team’s legs at the shins by ignoring the ball and diving studs up with both feet into the players shins. Dude deserves to be roughed up

      @@PRGRAMMING not really. You cannot just jump for ball and fall on somebody to claim a foul. Here the keeper caught the ball and striker went under him, then keeper got off balance on the way down. It happens, definitely not a yellow (no intent from striker, not malicious, just ordinary foul).
