regarding leg press moment arm thing, I dont think thats the case? the adjustment of the machine allows the place you put the leg to distribute the leg equally unless you have unevenly loaded the weight? The example about lifting the bar does not make sense in this regard too, unless you are lifting with only one hand, that too without the side supports, Here in the leg press, you have side supports that will balance the weight for you, thats why the machine moves up and down regardless of how you push, You can push with one foot, with your back, with your hands, with feet wide apart or close or any situations, the weight moves equally in both direction because the setup allows it to distribute the weight through the machine Also I think the moment arm is setup from the place you put your feet in(center of the axes) not from sides, they dont make a triangle since the weight is distributed. so regardless of where you put the weight, the moment arm is actually the same, like in a regular squats for example, the moment arm you draw would be from center of bar to your hips or to knees, it wont be from the sides where you put the weight,
