Hiii! I literally just found your channel 20 minutes ago ❤ subscribed immediately. I appreciate hospice nurses so much. My Dad was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 42. He passed away from it, at age 49. Our hospice nurses....gave me such an immense feeling of comfort and peace of mind. So amazing how you all help people in the most difficult times 🫶 also...I would love to hear about what you're doing as far as gut health! I have been struggling with really severe gut health issues for a couple years now. It's always a little scary, just because of my Dad's situation. I went and had blood work done and it turns out that I have Celiacs disease. So, I am now 100% gluten free. Quite the change lol. Good luck with your gut health changes, and thank you SO much for all you do 💕

Thank you so much for this kind comment! I’m so very sorry to hear about your dad, but I’m glad to know that your nurses helped make it a more peaceful experience! Also I’ve heard a lot about celiacs, I can only imagine the shift in diet & how scary it can be especially going out with allergies!! I’m still in the thick of dealing with my gut issues, but will def plan to talk more about it once things settle down. Good luck with everything 🤍

I’m starting nursing school and I’m very interested in hospice because I don’t really want to do bedside… how do you like hospice? And how is it for work life balance?

I love hospice! I travel to homes/facilities so I see patients one at a time. I still use some bedside skills, but it’s nothing like the hospital. I work PRN so I do also feel like that has given me a good balance. It can be emotionally tough and take a while to adjust, but I would say after 6 months I felt way more confident and able to process everything better. Lmk if you have any other questions 🫶🏻
