hard to say from here. But perhaps STOP recording DVR and VTX at the same time. Record only DVR (Goggles) and the flickering might be gone as far as I've heard. It's a bug in the firmware which isnt solved. Hope it helps
Any landing right side up is a good landing. ;) Thanks for suffering so we don't have too. Quality even a lower bit rates still looks amazing. If have another pair of goggles with HDMI input, then the Walksnail VRX may be way to go (for winter flying), and could position VRX on tripod (or vehicle roof), and fly from a warmer cockpit (in vehicle). Using HDMI (out) on Walksnail goggles to a video screen probably possible, but more awkward to mount externally.
hahaha ... so true ... let the canopy ripp off, let the wings detacht ... fuselage not capsized? well perfect landing ... #goodjob The fingers are warm again ... and willing to catch such a spectacular winter sunrise :) just need the time. The VRX external (like on a tracker ... and I got one in my classifieds) is an absolut good idea ... only wire out would be hdmi but that's no problem. turn on the heater in the seat and go for #sticktime :)
Would my old 5.8 ghz 13dbi patch antenna work with this digital system ? Just plannimg ahead for when i order my digital system. Ive flown over 12k with my patch 5.8 ghz antenna on analog n hoping i can use it in the walksnail system.
@@JustFPV-net can you tell me your side of the story ive been reading forums and reviews about both but all ive been hearing about WS is bad. While on the other hand i hate brands like dji because of their sh1tty attitude against the consumer side of the spectrum but I think its a fact that they are more reliable. I live in turkiye and i will be paying more than 1 month salary for it so it needs to be reliable and stable for me. If you have the time I would apreciate your input. Thank you in advance
Awesome footage you've got there! Are there any issues in binding with other walksnail Avatar air unit incase you want to build another ? DJI has a lot of issues esp binding from the 03 air unit to a Caddx vista with the DJI goggles v2
Currently Not- but there is a feature request that describes exactly that. Perhaps it may come in future firmware updates. By now you’ll have to do it in the goggles in flight
Are you missing Crossfire ? How's ELRS performing for you nowadays? I'm curious ....as I am thinking of ditching all my Crossfire gear, and flying pureley ELRS on my Caipi2, and AR Wing Pro long rangers🤗🤔
I was missing a Feature : the working connection to a antenna tracker. Others than that I never looked back. Give it a go, figure out how ExpressLRS wants to be maintained and then get a taste of so many benefits like various cheap hardware and new innovations coming along in the upcoming versions. 30+ hardware brands are currently producing Tx and Rx for the system. Currently it’s like it’s unstoppable! I’m still a big fan of ExpressLRS #yougottaayyestoexpresslrs
Hi. thanks for sharing. Do you swap top and bottom antenna port of the goggles or keep original position? Does it much improve compare with stock combo( 2 stubby and 2 patch from walksnail)?
Currently I’ve got 2x tripple feed on top and the trueRc x2 on the bottom ports- the effect is that you won’t worry anymore for anything. Just play head-tracker and look into the direction you assume to fly and all is fine
The footage of flights above the clouds always looks pretty cool. I'm a bit afraid, that you are interfering with the airspace/flighlevels of man carrying airplanes. Do you have any kind of transponder in your aircraft?
It seems to be pretty good range, because it looks like u got ALOT of clouds/water between u and the plane... A "real" range test should be done without clouds i guess...
I guess its better to be realistic (or even pessimitic) when the topic is range. No doubt, there is more in store but I think this a good indication on what is possible with simple gear like a google on the face and not looking to much like MEN-IN-BLACK-NERDY :) Thanks for your words
@@JustFPV-net Yeah, u dont need insane range either to enjoy a flight really.... (Already got 1.3ghz setup in a albabird and a reptile v2 with 10000mah, but in reality i enjoy flying my nano goblin "close range" even more mostly because its stealthy. I can almost fly inbetween horses legs without them even notice it haha ) My walksnail vrx will arrive today, will be installing it directly to my old trusty nano talon evo and hopefully try a flight this weekend if weather clear up.
my OSD footage flickering like 4:33 , but my bitrate more then 25Mbps, how can i solve the problem? or this is the avatar vtx common problem, thanks

Sure no worries - just get them connected and it’s all good
hey are you still using these goggles and would you recommend i buy these or dji 2
Im still using them this day but i wouldn’t buy dji

Just in time for the morning coffee !
Same goes here … :-)

None… absolutely none! Simply hit the binding button on the unit and the same on the goggles/vrx… done! That’s my experience
Enjoyed video ❤😊
Thanks - that’s nice to know. Hope to raise the bar with the next flights
Why why do they make these video systems in such high frequencies when we want a solid signal? Because of latency?
Perhaps their focus was on racing … ;-) for me 30fps would be enough
...doesn't water vapor/droplets attenuate and scatter EMF(radio waves)...?
Can’t tell to be honest. But trees and such are worse
Can you set the VTX power to the six position buttons like you can with analogue transmitters?
Currently Not- but there is a feature request that describes exactly that. Perhaps it may come in future firmware updates. By now you’ll have to do it in the goggles in flight
Got to admit 8k is still a darn way out there ! Search an rescue is a night mare lol
depends ... but basically you are right

yea ... kinda cool! Hit me up when you wann give it a spin, old friend
cool

Are those the custom Fonts I am seeing in the OSD?
Nope … These are the original that ships with the walksnail firmware. I’ve set it to use INAV in the goggle.

Millions of ducks and geese fly without transponders.
What goggles are you using?
I use the Caddx Walksnail Goggle ...

I am sorry for you, i am in indonesia and wear slippers forever ☝️😂😂
😂😂😂 I see ! Possible solution: move to Indonesia 🇮🇩 ;-)
Maybe winter season you can escape from your country to indonesia and go back when summer season again there ☝️😂😂
If I do so, I certainly not have to think about coming back, hahaha - this work topic is a bit ackward ;)
