Rob is absolutely the best mind around to get to speak to, very helpful. Went to see him at LMA ,, 5th time out on the pier in Waukegan, caught a 12LB King.
you guys are so right you can really go down the rabbit hole buying tons and tons of lures when as you said maybe 5 or 6 spoons, fly's, dodgers, plugs and stick/crank baits will do the trick. I get caught up having to many and have to always look back and see what caught fish before and put on the old standbys again, enjoyed the show thanks
Solid advice! I’m to the point where I commit to my program before I leave the house and I might only have 10% of my stuff in the boat. Especially in the summer when the fish go deep- from a kayak it’s a lot of work to change baits so you definitely let things ride longer.
It really various based on lake temps. If the water is still cold throughout the water column, fish will be scattered. Once the top later of water warms up, you'll start to see fish pushed down in the water column in colder water.
Not really although some people might. It's not that you can't do it but you would want to run a much longer leader from the flasher to the spoon. You don't want the spoon interfering with the spoons action.

What is the general depth you are finding fish in June-July-august?

Could I get a list of the gear and tackle and the stuff on the table. Thanks.
Do you run spoons with flashers as well?
