Very cool podcast on night fishing for kings. I do better on the Michigan side with spoons that have the lower glow versus a brighter glow. I also agree that it is much harder to judge moving barges and big ships like car ferries at night. It can be downright scary at times trying to figure out if they are on a course to run you over!!!

I’m at Ludington State Park camping till the 1st. I have a 14’ boat so I’m limited to where I can fish. Any suggestions you can share about catching a few salmon in PM Lake. I have down riggers and dipsy’s for trolling. Also a variety of jigging spoons and some skein.

It's my experience that you really need to update your drags on your Okuma reels if you're going to use them for wire divers. Even then, be careful! I find 7 strand wire is a cunning and malevolent line that will kink and tangle if you give it a chance....like what can happen when your standard factory Okuma drag sticks then suddenly releases. Other than that, my Okuma reels on my wire rods work fine.

It’s a rod for me that never gets touched, or always get hit. Most fascinating fact is I will never find out why. Great tutorial gents!
