    cool video. I didnt expect to see the 4 port have a higher torque number. It looked like it stayed about 10fp above the 12 hole most of the run. I mean i'll hand you 4 or 5 hp for 10 fp of torque. not that you could notice any of it much really. I understand the 12 hole does better on fuel economy if the internet is to be believed. I wander how much a new set of stock injectors would change the whole thing? I guess its all marginal gains but I get the cold air ignition coil programmer injector and exhaust upgrade. Past that v8 swap I guess.

  • @gregj.gotham4402
    @gregj.gotham4402 2 года назад

    Between each run did you do a learn mode reset ? The only way to see real gains is to do a ecm reset then after about 50 cold start the ecm learns the new injectors and adjust accordingly through those 50 cold starts only then can this graphing show true curves.

    i been seeing some crap said about your injectors. glad to see this. now many times bolt on junk nets 0 or a loss of HP. granted an easy 5 hp and more torque is always good, and your 30 year old injectors will make it run not so great. so all in all, i say these injectors are a good idea to upgrade with. now, what about for my Renix? :)

    Interesting data but its very subjective. Just came from a video where someone claimed according to this video, “12 hole are better for high end torque while 4 hole are better for low end torque”
    These claims are from people trying to learn about their modifications but don’t have the base knowledge to take away the right information from a test like this. They just see graphs and data and take what they will based off of what they know.
    For any body else reading pleasing take these results with a grain of salt. There is many factors that go into dyno results. There is even different dynos that show different results and can even be manipulated.
    If you wanted to find the real difference in these injectors this needs to be a lot more in depth and science based.
    Im not trying to hate on anyone, just don’t like hearing misinformation spread by people who don’t exactly know what they’re talking about from a video they see that does limited testing.
    Besides that this was a good video on what your personal injector results were, love to see how 4.0s do on a dyno👍

      clean up your throttle body..... and make sure your EGR, idle air control valve, and throttle possition sensor are working correctly
      id almost say dirty throttle body and a bad throttle position sensor
      .
      if you have a OBD2 scan tool.... look at the "live data"..... press SLOWLY on the gas pedal
      it should start at 0% (some cars start at like 3 to 6%) and go to 100% smoothly
      .
      you want a stead increase..... 5 10 15 20 25 ETC
      if its going 5 15 25 10 25 30..... then your sensor is bad

    You have should have pulled your fuel trims out of the computer and run the dyno with a wide band. The ecu needs some time to reset the tables. If you run it at WOT it defaults to the last known tables, which the ecu would have developed for the factory injectors. I’m willing to bet a significant amount of money it was running extremely rich at the top end

    • @v12alpine
      @v12alpine 4 года назад

      Yea the fuel trims at WOT were horrible for a 3 sets as you can see on the AFR graphs. Richer and richer all the way 10:1 at redline. Too bad we can't reflash these things with better fuel trims because there's another 10-20hp right there just waiting to be unlocked.
