    Thanks for the high quality vid and your KSuspension products in general. Just a side note-- there's a Schrader valve (like the ones on tires) on the fuel rail; any time I'm working on fuel line, etc. I like to take the cap off and push the valve stem in to alleviate fuel line pressure. This coupled with gas cap removal will ensure there's absolutely no pressure in the fuel line.

    Just make sure you have the correct injectors for your pigtail or you will be splicing each one. I have a 97 Cherokee sport with a 95 engine and got a bunch of parts off an 01. The 01 injectors are a different connector. Also there are some differences in the fuel rail itself. Mine only has 1 line on it. I’ve had to piece together this engine with parts from 3 different models lol !! Just something to look for before you dive in and remove everything! Love the video and subscribed!

    I did this and got po172 and po175 oxygen sensors running rich. Cleared codes and ended up replacing my fuel pressure regulator/ filter. So far so good.

    Thanks for the great video. I agree with another post below, you have a talent for this. Well done.
    My question: do these four hole injectors work with the ‘97 TJ, 2.5?
    If you also don’t mind, what’s your opinion on this situation my 18 year old son and I dealing with right now.
    Driving down road, loss of power. Stalls out. Restarts a few times and then won’t at all.
    Went through a series of things and wound up deciding to replace EVERYTHING we could think of and reach as PM.
    Started with replacing the fuel pump since there was no pressure. Still won’t start. Good fuel pressure now at fuel rail.
    Also would not start with starting fluid at this point.
    Tomorrow morning we are replacing the injectors and the local store has these as an option, which is why I asked your opinion.
    We are also replacing the plugs, wires, and distributor tomorrow because we have everything torn apart. That, plus the Jeep sat in a field for many years in Idaho and since it’s my sons college daily driver (which he wants to own forever) I figured I would do as much PM as possible while we can.
    I’d appreciate any thoughts you might have about where to look next if tomorrow’s changes don’t fix the problem. Thank you and happy new year!

    • @KSuspension
      @KSuspension  4 года назад +4

      First off, Thank You for your comment.
      Secondly and further, yes, these amongst some other injectors will work for your rig, as for the work you’re doing, no sense in throwing a parts canon at the rig to find the issue. Most problems can be diagnosed easily with a meter and power probe.
      If you’re in the southwest side of Idaho, feel free to swing by our shop in Nampa. Be happy to help you figure this out.
      If you’d like some deeper help via messaging, shoot us an email. Be happy to help if we can. Suspensionlifts@gmail.com

    • @dth5050
      @dth5050 5 лет назад +2

      HEEP_LIFE the cylinder 3 misfire is caused by heat soak which creates a vapor lock in the fuel injector. Without proper heat dissipation, the fuel vaporizes, causing the misfire. Years ago a TSB was sent out. Search on EBay, Mopar Ignition Cable part No. 56028371AA. sold by AvondaleAutomotive who has a 99.8% positive feedback. The TSB instructs to cut the part in half, installing one piece with the slit facing up and the second piece with the slit down. I also removed the factory heat shield, I purchased mine from Summit racing for less than $25. Part No. 53013669AA , Shield Exhaust Manifold.
      Pull the throttle cables and fuel injector wire harness. Simple install.
      I forgot the guys name, search RUclips for Jeep in-line six, rough idle. Dude will walk you through the install of both parts.
      This fixed my misfire issue over night. Although sooner or later I will run an auxiliary fan over ride switch because I live in hot and humid South Florida, as well as replace my fuel injectors with the 4-hole remans from K Suspension because some of my stock injectors have cracks.
      Anyway follow the video and you should solve your misfire issue.

It’s cold starts rough, sometime it will stumble on and a small pop out the tail pipe. Then levels out and idles great after a few seconds. And never does this when starting warm, Not sure if it’s the same issue as the evap code (small leak or no flow)
    I have changed the fuel lines near the tank and also the evap purge valve near the front P firewall, what should I check next? Thanks.

      the 4 port injectors don't add any HP and usually don't add any MPG either, unless your OE ones are super clogged up and aren't flowing properly. You'll get better performance and throttle response with a leveled out idle as well. But not more power, that would need a lot more adjustments and different injectors as well.

    Great video. Very well done! I have an 2004 wrangler 6 cylinder. I drove it the first year about 9000 miles then it has pretty much sets in the garage. It looks brand new. I get it out a few times a year and drive it to keep the gas fresh and to keep it running properly. Around 11,000 mile now. I let it set over a year this last time. My son and I got very busy with work. Now it won't start. When turning the key on I can hear the fuel pump running in the tank. I tried to remove the gas line at the rail but did not have the tool to remove it. i will get one and try to see if gas flows. I just can not imagine with such low mileage that the injectors would be clogged. However I have never dealt with a bad gas issue before which I assume is the problem. Do you have any suggestions that could help me troubleshoot this problem? Almost forgot. I also had my son turn it over while I sprayed bursts of starting fluid into the intake and it attempted to run which gives me the idea the ignition system is working. So it still points to bad gas I guess?

      Hey Thanks for the tip! And offering to help.
      I am going to buy the small tool needed to remove the fuel line from the rail and the gauge set as well. I am about 100% DIY and pretty much always do my own work. The cost of a few tools and some time can save you a pile of money. At 54 I have not failed yet lol. I have watched several videos with similar problems to learn how things come apart. There does not seem to be a video, at least that I have found, that shows what to do in the case of possible bad gas. I figure I will just learn to understand the fuel system details and then figure what part of that system is failing through the process of elimination.
      I could just dig in but that can end in broken parts. I always try and
      get a good idea of what I am working with before actually doing the work when it comes to cars/trucks. They tend to build them with tricky little procedures that cause you to break things if not careful.
      Do you think the fuel pump would go bad as a result of the gas being old?

    • @hndaxr400rdr
      @hndaxr400rdr 8 лет назад +1

      no, not because the fuel is old, but not using the pump and it being just sitting there in fuel could make it go bad. It's a long shot, but you'll know once you test the pressure:-)

    • @terrymiller7508
      @terrymiller7508 8 лет назад

      What about the crank shaft sensor? I saw that mentioned somewhere. I assume that if it were not working then it would not tell the fuel pump to run so no fuel flow? By the way still have not been able to work on it.

I personally replaced both cylinder #4 value springs, the coil, spark plugs, timing sensor, oil pressure sensor, and engine oil & filter, which were all recommended by various youtube videos. I had the codes checked before and after each of these repairs. The latest code readings indicate multiple misfires on cylinder #4, injector Circuit/Open cylinder #4, and misfires on all the other cylinders. Codes P0304, P0204, P0300, P0301 respectively. The suggested parts; valve spring. Have you ever seen this and do you have any ideas what I might try next. The car only has 95,700 miles.

    • @KSuspension
      @KSuspension  7 лет назад +9

      Glad you asked, here's the low down on the upgrade:
      the oem injectors are a single port design which...quite literally, "piss" into your combustion chamber, the 4 port upgraded design doesn't use any more fuel than the original, as they are matched to the same flow rates, but has a better "mist" into the chamber to allow better fuel atomization, which means you'll burn more fuel than you lose, your throttle response increases, your idle smooths out, highway driving will seem smoother, and your economy will level out
      The upgrade is a no brainer for any owner of a 2.5, 4.0, 4.7, 5.2, 5.9 engine
      Add in a true bored 62mm throttle body from and you'll be kicking dust at people behind you all over town!
      There isn't any HP gain, as that involves more work internally in an engine, but you will notice a good change in your economy on top of the above mentioned results.
