  • In this video, we take a look at the Mahindra Tractor brand. I take a short trip to our local Mahindra dealer to speak with the general manager about the Mahindra tractor line. Special thanks to Daren for letting me come talk to him and video his inventory.

    I have a Mahindra Max 28XL 2013 model, I love the tractor. The tractor is equipped with a backhoe, Loader, box blade, bush hog, disc, landscape rack, ratchet rack, 3 pto sprayer rig (homemade) and finish mower. I only have an acreage, but I have used to clear the wooded area. I started 5 years ago on this clearing of 20 trees, vines, muscadine grape root balls (5 ft dia), and underbrush. I'm almost done. I've had health issues (70 yo). I was raised on Farmalls, so that's why I chose Mahindra.

    Thank you for the video. We are looking to get a Mahindra at a big local dealership (NE Texas) in 2 months, after Christmas. We are 3 years offgrid now and I basically use a shovel! Sometimes I can get the kids to help... 🤣 We did some research and visited New Holland, Massey Ferguson and Mahindra dealerships. Mahindra looks like the clear winner. Looking to get a 22s, or 26L or bigger if I can get the payments down to $300 to $200 price range. BUT it must include a front end loader AND a backhoe! Found a local big dealer today that has all the new ones I want and plenty of used ones coming through at that price. For example he said he had a used 25 and 26 model with UNDER 40 hours (!) For under $300. Front end loader and backhoe included... I'm waiting for the holiday's and 2 BIG trips to be over with or I would jump on that deal...

    Interesting interview but with a few moments of forethought the interview could have been improved by moving your interview location and minimizing road noise.
    I look forward to all your videos and even with the road noise interference I would never vote you a negative!
    Thanks for your effort and success in providing practical information.

      Peter Vichi I think the biggest issue was from the cut-in scenes' audio... I think muting those scenes' audio would go a long way for the next video.

    We have a local New Holland dealer who also sells Kioti. I went in there recently to have a new 4-1 bucket with front remotes added to mine. I noted there were only mine and one other Kioti in their large repair shop - the rest were New Holland’s. There were about 12 in the repair shop and another 10 out in the service area waiting. Not sure if that reflects poor reliability of the NH brand or a lot more of them sold.
    I enjoy your videos. Find them unbiased and informative. I agree with other viewers comments that this Mahindra dealer did have some wild sales pitches. You see very few of them on farms here in Missouri.

    I guess folks don't listen to hear only to speak.
    You did not make any of your own claims or endorsements.
    A good dealer can make a bad tractor good & a bad dealer can ruin a good tractor.
    I don't think any manufacture in the states of tractors uses 100% USA parts , sad but true people ,

    Tractor with a stereo idea is over 40 yrs old... Along with AC

  • @dusty265
    @dusty265 6 лет назад +1

    I have often thought of a new tractor from time to time, but my problem is my International 2444 industrial just keeps on working, dual flow pumps and a great loader draft control, and a lockable diff, running turf tires nowadays and through on the chains when needed, now it does help that I have and use my dozer as a dozer and not my loader on the tractor, I just don't need or want the payments! But those tractors do look nice

    • @RedToolHouse
      @RedToolHouse  6 лет назад +1

      If it ain't broke... That is why i have a 17 year old tractor even though I would like to have a bigger one.

    • @dusty265
      @dusty265 6 лет назад +1

      Red Tool House - Homestead sometimes I would like a bigger tractor, well I would like a cab with AC, I have found that the small dozers fill the Ned for a larger tractor. That said small dozers require a LOT of daily maintenance when your running them, and well they are just plain fun to own too!

    I have a Kubota BX25 and a Kobota side by side. I work them hard and they've been really reliable. I only have 11 acres but it's hilly so they get a workout. The reason I picked Kubota was because I live close enough to drive them both home. Like Troy said the dealership location and attitude is important when considering a tractor and I'm blessed to live close to a good one! Love the videos keep them coming.

    • @sivam450
      @sivam450 6 лет назад

      International is not in tractor manufacturing anymore. They are now known for their semi trucks in North America. But still there is some kind of relationship exists with mahindra I guess. Their popular semi truck engine 'MaxxForce' is also powering Mahindra commecial trucks in India.

    • @MichaelCarouthGutenTag
      @MichaelCarouthGutenTag 4 года назад

      Although I haven't researched into this myself "ChuckE2009" was saying in a video about IH and the Mahindra connection. His video is called, Mahindra tractors and why you shouldn't buy one (4540 one-year review), but in a nutshell he still says they are the best.

  • @mikestone9129
    @mikestone9129 5 лет назад +4

    I drove a semi truck for 35 years. When they started making trucks with DEF we saw a lot more problems and exspenses. The DEF system was continiously breaking down. And DEF fluid is not cheap and has to be added regularly. I would not buy a new tractor because of it.

    I noticed when asked what the dealer thought were problems that he would like to see improved all he did was deflect; he never answered the question. And when asked what were the most common service issues he sees all he talked about was routine maintenance. This guys claims were laughable; he should immediately be promoted to Used Car Salesman.

      I like those mahindra products Troy. I bought a new j.d.3025 in April but I was really interested in a mahindra 1526. The only reason I went with the green tractor over the red tractor was John Deere gave me a better deal on a trade in and they were 1/2 hour closer and local "in the same county" as me. Also the 3025 has no DPF.. Thanks RTH.

    kubota in my opinion is the best. i have to disagree with the dealer, his def claim was false if you keep the tractor at the higher rpms witch is where there designed at the tractor will not shut off. only if you bypass the def to many times it will have to do a parked regen. the lift capacity claim is also false.

    I had the opportunity to operate at mahindra tractor with a backhoe and it was a flimsy piece of junk and while digging around the roots Of a not very large tree one of the outriggers bent. I never had that problem With my Kubota. I also had the opportunity Run A John Deere tractor And found That to Be pretty inadequate also compared to the Kubota. These tractors Were all About the same size and horsepower. Hands down Kubota was the Best.

    • @richardfutch6185

      Has kubota fixed their regen issues? I bought a brand new b3350 in 2017 and within 26hrs it was at the dealer with regen issues. It stayed at the dealer more than it did being used. Come to find out several different series were having similar problems. I ended up selling it for a big loss and started back using my old ford 3600.

    From a business point of view. 0% and rebates are signs of insecurity of confidence to sell their products. A highly reputable brand won't need to "push" their brand along.
    As far as a long 10 year warranty also means desperate to keep sales volume up.
    But as many tractor owners know. Long and short warranty means nothing if the unit isn't overall reliable.

    • @RedToolHouse
      @RedToolHouse  6 лет назад +1

      0% usually means you want to make your product more attractive to those that want to finance but the offer usually has to strict of credit requirements for most to qualify. Companies offering 0% also have markup factored in to handle the spread of cash flow. Rebates usually are introduced when inventory starts to stack up. They may have over produced.
