And that "Check yo girl's phone, i'm the frame" is actually true but the funny thing is it came true among celebrities 😂. South korean famous actress Han Gain is a big fan of GD and her gallery is full of GD's picture. Her husband is another actor and when asked how he feels about it he said "i just ask her to send the pic to me" hahahaha turns out both of them are his fans. And Super Junior's member Shindong said his girlfriend's phonescreen pic is G-Dragon XD. This is why GD is hailed celebrity of celebrities and idol of idols. For real, you will be surprised how many idols are fan of him and most of them are actually male idols. I can see you admire Teddy Park a lot ..I also admire him ,,Park is a great song writer , great producer but as a rapper and artist he have not reached the popularity and greatness of G Dragon.. (sorry) there are great singers but there's a difference between singers and performers Gd is simply amazing , I have watched his concert MOTTE his latest solo world tour in 2017 . I'm In front (VIP section) ..I'am just blown away .. It's different really watching him perform live.. From the concept of the concert , stage design , music .. fashion..(GD is a fashion icon also and an artist .. He designs bags ,shoes etc) Peace minus one is his label.. He is a genius .. You can watch the Motte documentary in you tube.. You can get a glimpse of his greatness.. Actually I just discovered BigBang in 2015 , I like TOP at first coz I know he also acts but when I came to know them all . I found out that GD is special..He started at age 6 and started rapping age 11 , you can google GD rapping with adult rappers .. And started as a trainee with Taeyang at age 13., in YG ..At age 20 he has become the youngest songwriter who won awards .. check Wikipedia and I recommend What ever happened to Gdragon in you tube.. It shows GD from his first appearance in tv until today .. A very good article for those who would like to know more about him.. Tnx..

I loooooooooooooooooooove YG family before the third generation came in. They had so much fun back then. They had YG family concerts and they make sure that groups and producers get to collab together, so they make different renditions of the songs. It's always refreshing to hear all the new arrangements.
Nowadays, all the fans care about is their group and they sh*t on producers like Teddy just because they want to get songs as fast as the other popular group. And then they blame YG and other YG artists for everything. 🤦♀️
Anyway, Teddy's group 1TYM is a hip-hop group, not an idol group. They were one of YG's first successful hip-hop artists which also made the genre popular in Korea. 1TYM MV upload was around 2008- 2009 but the video released was before that time. And uhm, I must tell you, their beats are like older hip-hop and the videos are mostly low-resolution.

OMG FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT!!! I'm soooo done with fans these days... YG artists are known for releasing the least amount of songs within a period of time yet releasing top charting tracks with quality and a lot of time placed in their craft. People these days don't care nor do they have patience like the OG YG Family fans are... They just expect groups to release music that are disposable.. easy come, easy go...
But I have to tell this. Lately YG Fam is slowly showing more interaction which makes me believe that they keep interacting but just hide it because of the haters. Like nowadays if a fan sees one BP member looking at one Ikon member they start spreading rumours and all that so imagine if they do like BB and 2NE1. But now i see them slowly interacting and showing it more which might be a good sign that they are ready to take over again.

And from YG (of Seo Taiji and boys) to JinuSean to 1TYM to Perry to Masta Wu etc, I can tell you, Bigbang is what they are today because of how they were raised and groomed back then. 2NE1 had all of them with Bigbang in addition. GDragon and CL were my first in kpop. In early 2014 Skrillex made a song with both of them and I was impressed so I went to check and until today I listen a lot to kpop. I was also surprised because apparently I already had listen to BigBang befor and didnt knew it. In 2012 Im pretty sure I heard to Fantastic Baby but didnt knew what it was until 2014 when I got into them.
So, yeah, i got into kpop after seeing an american producer/dj that around that time was getting even bigger in the edm scene making a song with 2 legends in kpop.
Also if you want to check that song is called Dirty Vibe by Skrillex ft GD, CL and Diplo. It is not exactly kpop, it is western style edm (or whatever name we should call it) but they are cool in it.

You definitely should check out Seo Taiji and the Boys (YG or Yang HyunSuk was one of the boys). It was mid 90s I think but they were popular even abroad. They're really good.
1TYM, Teddy's group, is pretty good too. Real oldskool k-hiphop. You should check them out... start with Hot maybe. YG's old groups and solo artists are very hiphop, like JinuSean and Masta Wu.

The "Girl Crush" concept wasn't prevalent back then in Kpop. There's a certain standard that South Korea expects for women. Cutesy and hyper-feminized girl groups were more popular during that era. I think CL's verse meant that while what she does and how she holds herself might not be considered "mannered" to Korean standards, she will still be at the top of her game while still maintaining her beliefs in what it means to be a lady.
