So fucking refreshing! Hands down, greatest move to date... been a fan since the 60's, ... wachting every lap since the 80's (cable, ESPN, TNN, etc.), attending races since the 60's USAC Stock Cars on ovals, road courses, and dirt. Attending Cup/Busch races since the 80's... First Cup race I attended I was flabbergasted when the crowd loudly booed Earnhardt ... during the parade lap... (they didn't appreciate how hard he raced). Chastain's on track moves this year have been exciting af! ... gangster ... He forging his path ... blending his tenacity with just enough control ... without going on tilt... yet when necessary, he's straight up, balls out, assasin. God Bless Ross Chastain Synergy Chastain + '22 Car + Justin Marks Synergy Best thing to happen to this sport since Donnie whippin' Cale's ass, live on CBS in '79. Yep, as the King says; ... just one of them racing deals...
While I absolutely did not watch the race "haven't watched since 2010" I did watch it on RUclips, several times. Pretty impressive move I must say. Kid's got wheelbarrow size stones to do that. Good for him. Keep up the great work Hermanator!
"My head hurt".... well Ross, I think everyone's head hurt from how blown away we all were!! No one's brain could process that move as real :P Side note, one thing most people seem to have forgotten about with Ross' crazy move is Reddic ending his day early from not feeling right. I know they said he checked out okay, but it's still very worrying, at least to me!
Ross Chastains move is the modern day Earnhardt Senior pass in the grass. And I believe others will try but be unsuccessful just like the pass in the grass
I haven't watched NASCAR in a few years (my personal boycott), but I don't miss the highlights. I think it was a brilliant move AND I really hope NASCAR doesn't create a rule to prevent it from happening again. Ross is the man! But this is a one and done... new rule I think that will disallow maintaining or improving position if up against the wall. Thanks Kenny, great video!
Ross getting his Bell rung definitely has to do with bouncing around the wall but I think it also had a lot to do with how much G force he pulled turning that tight that fast
Herm, first off, another awesome show. Always agree with how you see and put things word for word. Don’t change a thing about your normal content, but with slowing down your racing and sticking closer to home (which I can’t blame you at all and congratulations btw) I’d love to see the show a little more regularly and “official/professional” with replays, interviews, guests, production etc.. sort of like what Jr does. People would jump all over it, we need more Herm!!
That’s was the wildest move I’ve ever seen in my life, it was like watching a video game! Lol Btw Kenny, I like the Mad Max McGlaughlin die cast DIRT modified on the shelf. He is a great one up here. 👍🏁
Does it even matter who wins the championship if it isn’t Ross? I mean it’s going to overshadow everything!!!!!! He answered the question! He proved to every person who said you could only do it in a game!
I saw replays of it... and wow... it takes some serious stones to try it... but at the same time. It's literally a do or die situation.... in this case... it worked.. I think larger tracks this would not work.. but the small track at Martinsville... it almost begs you to give it a try.... Hat's off to Ross... you were outside looking in.. took a big chance.. and it payed off big. Good luck going forward.
The last thing NASCAR needs is MORE rules! RULES RULES RULES...rules are what's killing this sport and why Formula 1 is flourishing in the United States right now while you got empty stands at Bristol. Great move! Great racing! I could see Dale Earnhardt Sr. trying that tbh. lol

Kenny that's the best thing that's happened in nascar in years, almost was as good as watching dirt track racing.
God Bless Ross Chastain
Synergy
Chastain + '22 Car + Justin Marks
Synergy
Best thing to happen to this sport since Donnie whippin' Cale's ass, live on CBS in '79.
Yep, as the King says;
... just one of them racing deals...
Straight shooting, Herm!!
Thank You
Great show Herm…. So glad i found your channel!!!!!
The GREATEST move ever!!!!!!!! _ Never to be done again!
No one's brain could process that move as real :P
Side note, one thing most people seem to have forgotten about with Ross' crazy move is Reddic ending his day early from not feeling right. I know they said he checked out okay, but it's still very worrying, at least to me!
The G force thru the curve was what he was talking about. Some have said he pulled 5 + G's. That's fighter pilot g's!
Great explanation Herm. Love these discussions.
Ross is now my favorite driver
Great break down. I don't watch Nascar and I felt like I've been a fan all along listening to this. Thanks.
Ross Chastains move is the modern day Earnhardt Senior pass in the grass. And I believe others will try but be unsuccessful just like the pass in the grass
Was not a pass in the grass.
Not even close to the same. Ross actually passes someone.
@@dewaba1 yes, we all know that it wasn't actually a pass.
But that's what it has always been referred to, and I doubt that will ever change.
Well, I really don't watch NASCAR anymore, but I sure watched that !!
I haven't watched NASCAR in a few years (my personal boycott), but I don't miss the highlights. I think it was a brilliant move AND I really hope NASCAR doesn't create a rule to prevent it from happening again. As I said elsewhere, I don't think it's going to start happening left and right, and I don't think he'll do it again, but it was definitely great to see!
Of course there will be a rule change, it was fun to watch but stupid and dangerous.
@@foghornleghorn8536 definitely wasn't stupid. Dangerous? Perhaps
@@stratolestele7611 It was stupid because he willfully chose to endanger the other drivers.
Back in the day... the night before the Martinsville Race a particular driver would have a magnificent cookout and invite crowds. 🤔
Hoping to see 🍉 next.
Craziest racing move I've ever seen in 68 years of being in this sport!
Ol' D.W. won numerous times at Martinsville for you sir, and when a car is that good you just stand on the gas and bring home the trophy.
I call Chastain's move brilliant, ballsy and bullshit cheatin'. You know what I mean? HaHa.... Love you man and that gray area.
Some people could have seen replays it's all out there without watching the race! I for one watch the races loved every minute of it
Ross is the man! But this is a one and done... new rule I think that will disallow maintaining or improving position if up against the wall. Thanks Kenny, great video!
I would go with Ross, but I keep hearing Denny muttering something about "brakes are just not working quite right". Have to go with Chase.
This was legendary
Ross getting his Bell rung definitely has to do with bouncing around the wall but I think it also had a lot to do with how much G force he pulled turning that tight that fast
You're going with Ross. Good deal. I hope you're right, that would really be something. Thoroughly enjoy the show
Herm, first off, another awesome show.
Blows my mind,that was awesome
For years we've said that the championship doesn't mean as much anymore. But I don't think anyone told Ross that yet lol
These are the most deserving drivers in the garage without a doubt. Each of them truly belong there and it's going to be awesome!
As always Mr. Wallace you hit the nail right on the head with your comments love your show thank you very much
Does it even matter who wins the championship if it isn’t Ross? I mean it’s going to overshadow everything!!!!!! He answered the question! He proved to every person who said you could only do it in a game!
Kenny u put on the best race reaction 😁😁
That was simply amazing Im all for moves like that if it means not wrecking/ dumping drivers for the last 2 spots
I could see Dale Earnhardt Sr. trying that tbh. lol
No long time Nascar fan has ever seen that move, and it made me laugh hard. It was so awesome and it will be highlight film forever.
