    Okay, the Sony Bravia XR A80L and the rest of the 2023 line were released in May 2023. Same as this 2024 line. For some reason, I believe that a successor to the Sony Bravia XR A95L OLED will be released this coming October, and it will be called the Sony Bravia 10, or the Sony Bravia X.

    hi. how many phantom speakers does the TA-AN1000 (5.1.2) give with the 360 spacial audio. I know the new Quad gives 12 (7.1.4) I am trying to decide between this AVR and the new Bravia Quad. Is there much difference immersive wise between the two and for music. I dont mind the extra work running in AVR speaker wires but if not much in it Il go quad. Is the Quad much better than the A9 also. Thank you

    The Bravia 9 will be mine this fall if reviews are Good. Not 100% sure I can give up my Sony A80J OLED just yet. I think the sleeper hit this year is the Series 7 being mini led .

    Going for a Bravia 9 either 75 or 85 I think and the Theater U for fun. Want to see some reviews. But I like what I see. Color looks greatly improved and brightness/contrast.
    Wonder how it is in gaming with local dimming. I wonder when it launches, hopefully not in a too distant future.

      MediaTek Pentonic 1000 doesn't support 4 2.1 ports. Originally MediaTek was going to but pulled it.
      Pentonic 2000 does though but probably a big cost increase as it's designed for 8K televisions.

    Love the new Bravia 9 TV & HT-A9 the only issue again is there is only 1 hdmi 2.1 even though LG and Samsung use a different platform to get 4 * would have thought Sony would introduce it in 2024. The HT-A9 only has 1 hdmi in on the black box which all the reviewers say the old model could have done with 1 more connection.
    I guess this is saving money not developing this but I've experienced this with Sony over the years as the next generation they will introduce it and using marketing to sell the features. I get it as a business decision to make more money but other brands listen to their customers and apply these to newer generations.
    I am a Sony fan and will commit like others and this is probably why they do what they do but it would be great to see this pattern change in the future.

    Do the Bravia Theater Bar 9 or 8 have flexible placement of the surrounds like the Quad?

    • @jkell411
      @jkell411 6 месяцев назад +1

      The surrounds are optimized when setting them up based on their placement. On the RS5's (not sure about the RS3's), their is an optimize button on the speakers that automatically starts the sound calibration process.

    Can we please have a function to reduce picture size by while watching low impact TV.
    For example news channels, DIY programs, game shows. So that when we watch a movie on full screen it gives the experience more impact. It then becomes a theatre experience.

    Does the Bravia 7 have the same features as the Bravia 9? Except for the speakers, is the hardware the same? I am planning to buy a Bravia, but I want to know that if I invest in the Bravia 7, I will then in the future feeling bad for not investing in the Bravia 9. What is the main difference between the 2?

    • @DerekFromSony
      @DerekFromSony 7 месяцев назад +1

      We spoke quite a bit about brightness and that's really where you'll find a big difference between the A95L and BRAVIA 9. I expect this to be a bit comparison this year. The A95L will give you deeper blacks, but the BRAVIA 9 will blow it away being our brightest 4k TV ever. The question becomes, what do you prefer?

    Rob,
    I’m glad to see Finally Sony TV’s Bravia 3 & above will support DTS:X after years making sound bars that would! How dumb can your engineers , R&D & marketing be to make products that can’t support each other ! Now ad a lover of Sony with a Z9G & Z9D tv but many other high end Sony products what an insult to your customers to make 8 K TV’s that can’t play you tube 8k videos in 8k and let LG beat you in this area with a video decoder box that they gave customers in 2019 with their ZX models and then built it into their 2020 ZX sets hardware. These boxes were eternally upgradable with software updates for the codecs AV1, HEVC &VP9 which you could buy last year for $115! Why could Sony buy 1 deconstruct it and either make their own proprietary box and or make Sony box that was universal to all brands ? I just gave you a million dollar idea that either way would be the talk of the industry and bring you millions plus create reenergized Raving fans for Sony! How stupid of Sony’s marketing to boast that the Z9k had AV1 support up to 4k ! Whoever in marketing that let that be published ought to be repositioned to a non marketing role in your company ! I’d love to talk to you directly about these things Rob. Call me at 504-812-9987 and as a owner of well over $25,000 of Sony products and a lover of the brand and an annual watcher of my friend Robert Zohn’s Value Electronics shootouts I’d love to see Sony fix this and don’t tell me there’s no 8k content because there’s thousands and when I have 1 gig service and can handle the bandwidth but have to have my resolution capped at 4 k although it looks stunning a good lawyer could make a FTC case for Sony is guilty of false advertising because they won’t deliver what they say they are as 8k sets. I recently told a Sony retailer what I know and have shown over 2 dozen cable techs over the past year could be a focus group study for you! Call me and I’ll prove it to you!
