That was his tactic, and it worked for the Soviet Union.
That's how theism works. You have billions of people pretending their imaginary friend is real so they think it is the truth.
But I disagree with Lenin. A lie that everyone believes is still a lie. Generally, I hold that subjective beliefs don't create objective realities.
Although the placebo effect seems to contradict this to some extent, I think the interesting factor is the power of the mind over the body. We can observe this when mental and emotional stress causes sickness, or when a positive mental attitude and emotional health boosts physical health.

That's exactly where I was three years ago. I've always had a very analytical mind. But when I actually started searching after the truth of God and asking Him to reveal Himself to me, He did so in a powerful way. If you turn away from God, He gives you the free will to live in that fantasy that He's not real, and He hides His face from you (Isaiah 59:2). But if you draw near to Him and humble yourself before Him, He will reveal Himself to you and reconcile you to Him (James 4:7). Being in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the best thing that's ever happened to me, nothing else even comes close

Explain to me please, if God loves everyone, why did Jesus need to die for him to forgive everyone, as he is all powerful he could just forgive everyone. Secondly, why is there sin in the first place? Something that loves everyone would want everyone to go to heaven. So why didn't he just forgive Adam and Eve and get rid of sin. And then when Sagan was created, destroy him as well, so everyone goes to heaven? Christians plz explain
Christ died for our sins bc our sins where to heavy for us to bare and threw him there would be salvation and it was mostly to put the rabbis and Pharisees in their place because they believed they where corrupt. So the rabbis and pharisees killed him and he died went to hell and rose again in three days went around showing proof that he is with God and God with him. Basically started with abraham God made a covenant with him and told him that thru his seeds people will be saved and will rule. And then it got passed down to king david since he is a decedant of abraham and God told him the same. And jesus christ came out of davids blood line. Basically its bc God made a promise a long time ago. And he does not break promises.
Also its part of free will. God will let you live your life the way you want to a certain extent. Then you die. He loves you enough to give you life but if you love him back and get saved and repent for your sins. Than you get to live forever.
+Liz Mackintosh I'm not saying you can't have free will. An omnibenevolent God would let people do bad deeds, forgive them, and let them into heaven, if he loves everyone, he would want the best for everyone. Since he is omnipotent, he can give everyone the best, so why doesn't he?
I believe that God helps you when you help him. It doesn't come automatically, you need to show that respect works both ways.

M from India, and I am an aethist too and a physicist. It feels good watching you guys tell the world about the scientific truths rather than pointless religion! I would like to watch more of these videos and if possible someday, discuss about these concepts of religion and debunk them!
I think a proof God doesn't exist is that almost all scientists who study stuff like DNA or quantum mechanics or theoratical physics or any other science that studies the genesis of any branch, don't believe in religion

I grew up in a Christian environment but have always felt that there’s “something wrong” in the religion. When I ask questions I only get answers that made me even more skeptical.
I used to think that’s because I wasn’t believing hard enough, turned out I just have a normal functioning brain. I’m happy to have left the toxic, medieval ages and returned to civilization.

By the standards of evidence of the guy who wrote that article, most of those things he listed could be considered proof of Zeus.
Also, if the spread of Christianity can be taken as proof of the Christian God, what about the spread of Islam? Sure, it hasn't spread _quite_ as far, but consider that Christianity had a head start of about 600 years.
Seeing as Christianity is declining and atheism is rising, by his logic, atheism is true.

There is a truth to this. If only one belief was held by the entire population, then it would be as if it were true, since no one would be around to question it. It's a matter of perspective and to this end, this is why Christianity and Islam are so big on our planet. They actually kill and eliminate those who disagree with them and they preach and proselytize to gain more followers so the number of people who share their perspective grows. And as those numbers grow, so does their confidence, to the point where they see no problem in saying "See, we're right! How do we know? Because there are so many of us saying the same thing!"

I think the word beast could be a good translation that could describe dinosaurs. If Genesis were true and we know big beasts and dinosaurs existed wouldn't it make sense that God created them at the time of Genesis? In fact most dinosaur fossils are always intact as is with no evidence of evolution.
Most people who reject the bible don't believe there was a flood, but there is a theory that that could have been what killed the dinosaurs.

Why do you think fossils are always intact? Nobody have ever found a complete intact fossil ever, the best I can come up with is the shells of ancient shellfish as they was small enough and only was 1 piece. Infact Lucy (the Australopithecus fossil) isn't famous because she was the most complete fossil we have ever found, but even lucy was only 40% complete.

As far as the genesis account the first sentence talks about in the beginning. Making the statement there was a beginning. It took scientist years to finally agree the Universe had a beginning and the genesis account predates the big bang theory which in some ways is actually in agreement. So what is contradicting about that?

Here in 2022, and when this video was released I was a Christian. Believed in god so much, my mom and her entire family was Christian, but my dad was not. He explained evolution to me, I didn’t understand at first, but he took me to a museum. They had bones there of dinosaurs, and strange deformed human skulls. I thought to myself, all of these animals do existed before, and some were wiped out, then again, my dad used simple logic, as disproved everything I believed bit by bit. I’m am so greatful for my dad, many kids grow up completely deluted in the thought of god, when it’s so flawed. They say if you don’t know about god he will give you a second chance, lol then why bother telling me.

neldog181 there is nothing wrong with someone being religious or athiest infact labeling any of it is just like saying we're all different races when in reality we're of the human race one race not multiple based on where you live, no one race and E=mc squared is the equation for einsteins theory of relativity meaning the faster something travels the more of a time warp there is his theory was proven and now to my point of this. ok say you send a pilot to light speed far away for the pilot it will seem like days but when they returned to the mothership or wherver they started from it would have been years and everyone they knew may be dead and they could be seeing an entirely new placethat they know nothing about. now how oes this apply well if you read genesis or atleast the creating of the planet part of it you will see his says the first day i did this the second this the third this, if you take from where the big bang started and the speed i traveled and the distance the begging is from where our earth sits one day could be billions of years. now on the first day god created the heavens and the earth 1 day his time is what at our distance from him see as billions of years and scientists state that it took billions of years for the earth and all the other galexies to form after the big bang expanded on the second day the bible states the water and land was formed and plant life started to grow. scientists state that after a few more billion years the earth cooled from its volcanic destruction and formed clouds and water and started bringing the start of life from the nutrient volcanic soil being bacteria and plants this being the 2nd and 3rd day 2nd was cooling and land/water forming ecosystems and the 3rd was the beggining of bacteria and plants.on the 4th day he created a greater light and lesser light for night and day(sun and moon) science proves that after a few billion years an asteriod hit the earth and a chunk of it flew out to space and formed a sphere around our planet or as we call it the moon. then on the 5th and 6th day(billions of years between each) god created the abundance of sea creature and flying animals over the earth. science the bacteria began to evolve and form into sea creatures after billions of years and began these seas creature through out tese billions of years evolved and adapted to land bringing them onto land and then some of those evolved into flying in the sky (not sure how something just thinks it can fly one day... but i guess it worked out for them as we have birds today.) then god said let us make man in our image and make him dominant over the other living creatures and god made man. during the billions of years fish decided to walk on land and then those decided to fly after evolving some of them evolved into man and well here we are today i guess and its obvious we're the dominance of the earth and about all this doomsday stuff people are saying. well in the bible jesus says be watchful to the east i come early on the third day( why did he tell people back then if its goin to be for all we know billions of years from even today or maybe thousands due to us not moving faster than the speed of light when the big bang started it could be thousands or hundreds instead of billions who know) however it also states a thousand years is like a day in heaven so early on the third day after the slowing from the big bang over the billions of years could be now as it states a thousand years instead of billions and if so then early on the third day from the point jesus was around at 0-30+ would be when it was said that being for us today 2,000+ years ago so by those calculations 3rd day = somewhere early in the year 3,000 something and guess what if any of you can live for 986 more years then maybe you should be concerned of the end of the world however it could be sooner or longer maybe our history experienced time faulty or something we dont know. what we do know is that science is everwhere and if we can make clones and robots as mortal men than how close minded does someone have to be to think an alien entity of pure energy doesn't have the ability to make all the universes from one surge of power while creating us and who knows how many other species in space. einstein proved that whats written in the bible about the earths creation is true i guess humans are just to scared to think that there is a higher than ourself being or "scientist" who created us robots of flesh and thought and inteligence but there is no denying facts and science.

Why is it that people who try to prove God exists always uses you have to have faith arguments but never uses basic logic. Science beats every story in the bible.
