Getaway artist build is still better. Pulse for barriers. Turrets for overload and unstoppable. Amplified on demand for damage reduction. Sever for damage reduction. Your choice of woven mail restoration overshield or frost armor
The storm grenade nerf really hit getaway artist hard for group play. I think it will still be very strong solo but if you're fighting for kills it's going to feel a lot worse now. It used to be much more forgiving but now you really need to get devour rolling and keep it rolling which in harder content isn't guaranteed, especially if you've got two other people going hard. That said, I think this build will have the exact same problems the Getaway Artist build does - you're relying extremely heavily on Devour to keep your ability loop rolling. It's fine if you're soloing hard content, but the moment you're fighting with a Consecration Titan or another really strong add clear build, you're going to be really hurting.
Ran like 12 GMs today. So many players try to apply to the finder w/ nighthawk, star-eaters class item, etc. You can literally cook the whole thing with outbreak perfected. It is so much better to focus on survivability with your build or get more super uptime (galanor, harmony). Save your DPS exotics for raids! Or just have fun I guess idk.
Has this been tested, like in the Raid against The Herald of Finality or any of the revised raid bosses (Crota) to see if these actually function as we think. I keep seeing the HOIL + STAR, vs. APOTH + STAR class items mentioned (MONSTER DAMAGE! being tossed about)... along with a lot of other Class items builds which just don't really work in end game content.. fun but, I would not run them in the SE Raid (and this is coming from me grinding out 40 of the 64 rolls on 'lock class items). I guess we'll see with GM's out this week. Let us know what you find out.
Apoth star eater isnt good. Its day 1 nonsense that came from ppl who didn't know better. Unless youre fighting atheon nades arent better on bosses than heavy weapons. That 8 seconds hurts your dmg. Osmi eater is best cus you regen your nade all the time and have a overcharged super. Ppl assumed apoth eater was best til they seen how good osmio is.
I’m using the same build as you but a different class item. Mine is osmiomancy/verity. Super damage goes down but but grenades are ridiculous as you always have death throes x5.
Only ability you care about is your nade. Only god roll for lock exotic is osmio eater. Not apoth eater, not inmost eater, osmio eater. If you dont know this yet youre lying to yourself to justify the exotics you do have. I have em all so i dont have that problem. I have no bias. Just the truth that osmio eater is god.

Yeah I agree this build is just mid compared to getaway. This build is really only good on bosses and okay at best in group play

I swap to osmio and harmony once i use my super to quickly build it back up and then swap back to osmio stareater. Flows so well.

Nezarec's sin would work well for this specific setup, but might be a bit hard to maintain the ability regen buff against tanky enemies in gms
