Thanks for the kind words. It was a pleasure to make. And you're right, they sound fantastic, and that made it easy for me to make the video have a pleasant feel. Credit to Myles and Simon on camera too.
Amazes me that two young ladies from Sweden wrote such exquisite words about four American music icons.
There's so much that we share that it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all🎶🎶
I put this on a playlist and now I'm playing it and reached this number and cleaning my glasses because they are all fogged up for some reason.
I am a huge fan of First Aid kit but I just have to give some credits to those who filmed and edited this video. It's an aboslutely stunning work. Another thing worth to mention and remember is that this is the sound from a live performance and they sing and perform everything perfectly, as they always do.
the film editor is a genius!
Actually the sound in this video is better than the professional video with 1.4 million views. While the visuals in that vido are stunning, the music overpowers their voices. In this one their voices ring clear as a bell and their harmonies soar, weave and intertwine unobstructed.
Look how far they’ve come in 10 years! 🤘🎸
....and so many beautiful Irish women =)
First aid kit just got to keep listening to you best females in decades
wow, this could have been the official music video, it should be! beautiful!
A friend introduced me to FAK last week and I've been spreading the word like wild fire ever since. I know it's a long way but please come visit us in North Carolina.
i was there. great gig, and very nicely filmed.
this is still my favourite youtube video with the amazing First Aid Kit.
I keep coming back to this, beautifully filmed and the music, well, that’s just something very, very special.
Love these girls so much ... I used to go see Emmylou in Austin (80s) ... ❤
Johnny would’ve loved this.
I just heard these lovely talented young ladies today. There are so many talented young artist playing yet getting no airplay that I almost forgot that there is still wonderful music being made. I thought that all there was left was pop and hip hop. please don't get me wrong every generation should have their own music genre to grow up with and love. But it's refreshing to hear music that is new and that I can relate too as a over sixty music lover. We need to open up the airwaves to other genres of music . The radio waves are getting stagnant and I'm over these so called classic rock stations. I don't subscribe or want to get a monthly bill to hear quality music that I know already exist. When all we need is to give so many young artist a fighting chance to be heard.
This was the first I heard of First Aid Kit - thank you!! I lost the link for a years! Now I'm subscribed and loved the Lisa O'Neill you did.
I believe it's their song "Waltz For Richard", they got a great live performance here on youtube, I belive it will pop up first.
My compliments to Ruairí Galavan. A great video portrayal of a performance by these two talented performers.
beautiful have fallen in love with these I must see them live in the uk
great song, great singers and great video footage and editing
All tender people listening to tenderly songs...
That song gives me chills, or maybe it's their voices.
They're just amazing. Love how their voices sound together!
Its their voices!
I agree, my friend. This video is amazing.
Beautiful! :)
Angels are singing here. Pretty voices and a great song.
I agree with Melligan.. Very nice video. beautifully shot. I saw them for the first time at Glastonbury '13 (only on T.V unfortunately) and they sounded fantastic, but this clip is just great.
Good work Ruairi.
I'm an older man of 53 from the US, and I thought these types of song writers/performers had long forsaken blessing us with their gifts. I have learned about First Aid Kit only in the past 6 months and just can't get enough! They have the voices of angels! And this is a great video - I love the black and white treatment, too. These girls would have fit in with us hippie/folk types of the 60s very easily, so it seems natural to see them in black and white with this music. Thank You! Peace!
You were born in 1960,what are you talking about, you saw the sixties in a movie my boy.
Me too, oh it takes me back to the days of youth, innocence, hope, past loves and real music. I just love First Aid Kit❤️
@@Del-yv1qy don't be so sure some kids grew up very fast back then....
I have to marry Johanna, she is beautiful in a way I've never seen before. And her voice is beautiful in itself.
I wished this song would just go on... and on... and on
They play Oct 03 at Orange Peel w/ Dylan LeBlanc Asheville, NC
I love this song. Listened to it many times.
Great performance, nicely filmed
I think it may have been a good idea to set the shutter speed to 100 on all the cameras! It is well shot don't get me wrong, but all that flickering is a schoolboy error :)
Paul Higham if not intensional..
Paul Higham
Thanks. The LED lighting causes that. Do you think this will solve it?
Lovely song
Music like this deserves to be heard in an intimate setting so places like The Blind Pig are perfectly suited to them I'd say.
wow..that was a first for me..to hear Johanna singing alone... i love her:)
great to see the audience too!
Love it.
Lovely video and band!
great tube Ruari - immediate fan of these 2, best influences, esp gram n em..will look out for them on their travels.
fantastic!
Well done Ruairi, it all came together nicely mate.
Absolutely fantastic, please come to Slovakia

bellissima canzone
Great video, great sound and what a great tune. Thanks for posting.
Cutest girls ever! Great song! Great footage! Great voices!
Excellent video for a fantastic song. Great work all!

Wow! Beautifully captured!
Good job!
Superb video...Thanks a lot for the outstanding editing !!
Yes thanks for posting this! Love the music. So heartfelt and genuine :)
Nice work, Galvo!
Good stuff - the video as well as the band!
OMG It's Arya Stark (Maisie Williams)!!!
Republic of Ireland, even. (Ireland not in UK!)
I almost that they meant Emmylou Harris! That would be a cool if they got together and sang!
Amazing job with the video editing and audio quality man. thanks
Headliners for next year's Ramsbottom Music Festival. I can only dream.
thats nice man great work
Hi. Thanks for your comment. I appreciate the feedback. I'd be interested to see what you mean by "80's and early 90's comedy-album-style". Can you send on an link to an example of exactly what you mean? Thanks
Ugh I need to go to europe sometime
Best audience that i habe herd in a while (they kept their mouts shut and enjojed the music)
It's in Dublin, so they had their mouth open now and then to down their pints ;)
Irish audiences do love their music but they do know what's good, but shame about the tribute to dawkins, he can't sing or play-and everything else he does is just by the way. These two have got the makings of stardom wish em well. And by the way in London no Irishman claps or applauds 'cos their beer would disappear.
how did I not know they were playing so near to me !?!?!?!?!
Niiice! Made me teary-eyed. :')
Skip to 1:15 for the start of de tune
very emotive :)
This girls give me some kind of hope for the future of music. Amazing to see two young girls not participate in bla bla Idol, X-factor etc. Those big record companies would have destroyed their talent in a week or two. Keep on doing the things you already doing. Love your music and looking forward to see you live here in Sweden in February. Love you girls.
Ireland's not in the UK
!!!!!!
Only just found this video ... awesome video of an incredible act. Saw them at Glastonbury ... just brilliant. Can't help but ask if that is Joy Williams from Civil Wars at 1:30?
anyone know which song came before? The one they said was for Richard Dawkins.
just sing, little darlin' sing with me
I make my youtube debut at 36seconds in!!
You're very welcome, Paul Burns. :)
Yeah :-)
please add June Tabor in.
Yes a fine video, but when did this performance take place. I do wish posters would publish these important pieces of information. 😤
love this song
what camera/lens did you use making this video?
dream on guys:)))
@Maker666Money why don't you Google "Dublin"?
Excuse my knowledge but in which country is this ?
4:58 = TRUE ECSTASY
Which song did they dedicate to richard dawkins?
👍👏👏👏😄
"the song we just played was sort of a tribute to Richard Dawkins" what song was that? Huge fan!
