Thank you so much Connor for such a fantastic job of removing the electrical string! I made an extra donation to WTW and also to CROW for the excellent work you both do to remove a very dangerous hazard in this nest!! Your fast action with the lift and with CROW was so appreciated! Thank you Joshua Tree Service for donating the lift to help out - giving them 5 stars!! You can see from the video how MUCH of that string was actually there when the lady was removing it!! Connor I love your videos so please give future rescue experience & other information!! Thank you again you all ROCK!

Gosh,I live in “Eagle Country” Skagit County Washington. That twine/wire looks like what our horses hay bails are wrapped with. I can see nests from my windows and eagles circle our fields. We will get busy and police our feeding areas..it’s not uncommon for those strings to end up on the ground..I had no idea the risk they present to our feathered neighbors..

Great Job. I have never seen a Eagle stay is the nest as long as Clive did. Well he did stay in the nest Darning a Hurricane. He is one of a kind. Thanks to everyone. That rope was really stuck.

God bless every person involved with this rescue. Camera crew to ground crew to the women in the lift and everyone in between.
And especially 🙏🏼 God bless Connie, Clive, and all their eaglets; past, present, and future.
Many would insist there be no interference with nature by humans in any way and to just think as though the cameras do not exist. Maybe, that’s true in some cases. I remember a few seasons back a similar instance in a northern nest where two older eaglet became tangled in fishing line. The world watched as the mother, on her own after the father went missing some weeks before, tried to free her babies. AEF eventually was able to get the eaglets free. If I recall correctly, the outcome was not favorable as hard as they tried to save the young raptors 😢 When there is severe risk to the life of a person or said wildlife, then nature has to be played out. But, here on Captiva Island was a perfect example of resources being used for the good of everyone. And Clive seemed grateful for the assistance. Raptors of all kinds are so important to the earth’s ecosystem and sustainable life. We have invaded their territories so it is up to us to keep it in good shape so as not to destroy the homes of our fellow creatures. We need them more than they need us. Bravo CROW, Connor, and CI eagles and residents.

Wonderful that you stepped in before something disastrous occurred. Far too often I see on these livestreams where a statement is made that the creatures are wild and the people supplying the stream do not interfere and let nature take its course. I think it is cruel to let some nature die when a human could help. Bless you all.

Conner--liked your video. I like all your comments on anything put online. See no need not to show this live--even if something goes not according to "hoyle". That's life--mistakes or non expected events are part of many happenings. The Vet seemed quite capable of doing the job even if bucket mech was controlled from below(maybe that's the best way for bird rescue stuff and not tree trimming which may work better there). It was big disappointment for me(yesterday) not to see what you showed LIVE today. I'm assuming it was Clive that took off when he saw the bucket people--something i would expect from a wild bird or any animal smaller than an Elephant..
Things going wonderfully at this Nest this year.Couldn't be happier about that. I hope RTH's in tenn(Angel & Tom) can mate and produce chicks this yr. I"m a nest life guy first, last and always and immensely Disappointed when that doesn't happen for a Nesting Pair of any type bird i watch.
Happy you got all the paperwork squared from Feds and State game depts. F& W(fed) esp. are not best(at times) in replying to Emergencies of wild birds and animals they "monitor". Sometimes i think (from my personal dealing with them in communications) they feel they personally own live wild stock they have charge of. Also happy you got a "gift of service" of the truck Co. on first day available. They more than stood up for wildlife safety and longevity and for doing that.
Thank You for sharing today. and giving an opportunity to share opinions for Nest Chat people.

Conner--looking at the intro shot of bucket/nest /you studio splice of yourself & left side of Parent Eagle. I was especially struck at how the Video of all the Splices together looks Authentic "as an individual Photo" with 4 parts. Your blk hair/black chair fuses so well with F very dark head hair and very dark clothing girls wore. You gathered the right A & V equip and tools and software to correctly use in making such a 'real life Photo' that is impossible to observe "in Real LIfe". Some of the AI made up stuff would look more "realistic" if wild animals aren't shown attacking and otherwise confronting people or other animals not normally seen like that in the Natural World.
