Chris, I have never drawn a plan for the layout but just made it up as I went along. The layout started life over 25 years ago as a simple one for my then young son. If you look at the first video I made "Restoring an old 6 x 4 00 layout - Episode 1 - Some History" you can see how it was when I started. Since then I have merely added two extra hidden sidings along the back edge of the layout for storage purposes and to enable a greater variety of trains to run, Regards Keith.
Most enjoyable as always thank you Keith. May I ask which controller you are using to get such excellent slow speed running from the old Lima diesels? My Gaugemaster Combi seems to cause these models to initially lurch away, but they can only then be slowed to a crawl. Cheers!
Very enjoyable video Keith 👍
Cheers Max,
I’m just back from Switzerland so it was good to catch up on some Southern nostalgia, very enjoyable viewing.
Thanks, and welcome back, Keith
Even more fitting now that the real life contemporary Bluebell have permanently acquired both a Class 33 & 73!
Good for them....have they been watching my videos?!!! Regards Keith
Excellent layout. Making me think of a SR version of SVR Bewdley.
Funny you should say that....one day maybe
a nice selection of green locos and rolling stock... may i ask where the superb backscenes came from please? TIA Nick
Thanks Nick, the backscenes are from ID backscenes and in my view are excellent, Regards Keith.
Another great video. Your commentary is great at setting the scene.
Thanks David, I think the commentary helps to give a bit of a purpose to the video and also I like "justifying" my choice of locos , Regards Keith.
Have you ever drew up an aerial plan for this layout and its previous guise?

Thanks Andrew, I use Gaugemaster Hand Held Feedback controllers, Regards Keith
