    Hi there... Just started BJJ and browsing through all your videos for handy information. I really appreciate all your efforts. With this video I have a question. What type of "strength" are we trying to to build up? Muscle growth through hypertrophy? Power endurance? ... This should have big implications not only for the work out but also for the frequency and amount that you should do each week. For example: if its hypertrophie, is it enough to just do one session per week? cheers and thanks again for all the work you put in here! Looking forward to your abswer :)

      Great question, thanks for asking. We're trying to build strength in all its different forms - force production, hypertrophy, tendon and ligament strength, end range strength, strength endurance, power, all of it. In terms of frequency and amount, the approach doesn't actually need to change that much. For the general athlete who is looking to improve across all of those areas, a generalised approach will hit the mark.
