In this video I walk around the main campus of New York University (NYU) at Greenwich Village. I exit a Whitehall Street bound W Train at the 8th Street-NYU Station, and make my way to various NYU properties around the area.
    From Wikipedia:
"New York University (NYU) is a private research university spread throughout the world. Founded in 1831, NYU's primary campus is in Greenwich Village with other campuses throughout New York City. As a global university, students can study at its degree-granting campuses in NYU Abu Dhabi and NYU Shanghai, as well as its 12 academic centers in Accra, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Florence, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Paris, Prague, Sydney, Tel Aviv, and Washington, D.C.
In 2018, NYU was ranked amongst the top 30 universities internationally by the Academic Ranking of World Universities, Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and U.S. News & World Report. For the class that matriculated in the fall of 2018, NYU received 75,037 applications for its undergraduate programs; this is more applications than any other private college or university in the United States.
Alumni include heads of state, royalty, eminent scientists, inventors and entrepreneurs, media figures, founders and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, and astronauts. As of 2018, 37 Nobel Laureates, 7 Turing Award winners, 5 Fields Medalists, over 30 Academy Award winners, over 30 Pulitzer Prize winners, and hundreds of members of the National Academies of Sciences and United States Congress have been affiliated as faculty or alumni. Globally, NYU is ranked 7th by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for producing alumni who are millionaires, and 4th by Wealth-X for producing ultra high net-worth and billionaire alumni."

I've wanted to thank you for the series of videos, and am delighted to see their continued and growing audience.
Perhaps the anecdote of my particular experience will be of interest. You have taken me for strolls that my age (71) and arthritis no longer make quite as effortless an undertaking. I grew up in the 50's in Manhattan on 27th between 4th(! no Park Ave South BS in 1952!!), and from 57 though 61 daily rode the 4th ave local on the BMT from Bay Ridge to 8th st each morning to go to Grace Church School.
You have taken me on walks past my friend's "houses"... one had two floors at the top of 1 Lexington, another lived at 1 5th. You reminded me of the rhythm of the grand avenues, Madison, Lexington, 5th! I saw the bakery we went to when I was 4 yrs old still exists (La Delice on 3rd and 27th!!!
I played in the promenade at Rockefeller Center, and looked up at that wonder sculpture of Atlas innumerable times.
100 miles north of you know an older guy is sitting in his recliner in NW CT, just lovin' having you do the freakin' walking!!!!!
I see you have a few narrated pieces now, and rather enjoyed what I learned from you about Canal St. but do keep up the ambient sound walks... they are things of beauty. Had I a class of aspiring poets under my tutelage the beautiful sound tracks of some to them as you go through multiple neighborhoods would be subject matter!!!!
    Bravo, and thanks.
    DLM

@@ActionKid well, the village is a little complicated for out-of-towners. Even I have trouble remembering that West 4th Street goes north/south rather than east/west. And I can't begin to tell you how many times I was on Bleeker St. and someone came up to me and asked where Bleeker Bob's was. This is back when it existed. Um...well, not on Bleecker St, like you'd imagine it would be!
