- This is the first of a 3 part series dedicated to the lumber train and some switching operations on the layout.
In This quick video we follow the Lumber train from Avery, ID to Cyr, MT. Once at Cyr, the power will cutoff and runaround the train, where it will tie back on and head to the Saw Mill and begin switching operations, which will be the focus of the upcoming Part 2, and then continue the journey to Haugan, MT in Part 3. You sure represent our beloved Milwaukee Road SO VERY WELL!! Great details and weathering, too. Fantastic work!
Thank you very much my dear sir! You gave me a preview of your MILW Road Switcher on your Layout!
the black soot near the tunnel entrance is a nice touch.
This must have taken decades to build. Outstanding.
Man, what pure enjoyment it is watching these trains on this beautiful and very scale layout. Please keep the videos coming friend. It's a pleasure watching those locomotives wind through those hills and over the trestles!!
Great... It's nice to see modelers doing the Milwaukee. Not many do.
What a beautiful layout. People just don't realize all the work that has been put into this. Love the Milwaukee Road. Thanks for posting this and sharing. I subbed.
Just did a trip to Montana this summer to follow the line. You've captured it perfectly. Fantastic.
Beautiful layout! You've certainly captured this rugged region well. I chuckled when I heard the signal relays for the signals caused a flashback to Bruce Chubb's layout (yep, showing my age lol) from many, many moons ago and his in-depth systems. Well done!
Great to see some classic Milwaukee road GE power
Great looking log cars.
Another superb video of an amazing layout; the scenery is just fantastic. Best of luck in the New Year!
Great shots. Happy New Year.
I commend you on the joint bars and I hope you have regular op sessions.

Was great seeing all those log buggies. Are they commercially available?
Yes, they are older models made by Walthers
Is this layout available for the Public to see?
What is the relay switch type sound that one hears regularly?
That would be the Relay System that operate the Signals.
