This was posted a while back, but I came across it just today - thanks for the tips! My goals aren't necessarily profit-motivated (albeit considering I'm young and jobless, I could always use some extra money), but I really like the look of _Salvinia minima_ and frogbit. The thing is, they seem to be having some issues in my main aquarium; don't know if the snails or if pathogens are adding to the issue, but for a long time my HOB filter's flow was too high, even with a floating plant divider lessening it. This, and maybe some other stuff as I mentioned (+ nutrient deficiencies?), are causing my plants to look a little sad. I'm going to separate out those two plant species and put them in a different setup without a filter, good lighting, and a few ramshorns. Gonna try to let them grow out, maybe introduce them back into the main tank after a while, and experiment as I always do. Anyway, thanks for your pointers!
yeah i see a few people selling floaters locally on craigslist. cool ones like red root floaters, water lettuce, frogbit... i'd buy 'em! but nooooo duckweed lol :)

Yeah my ads all disclaim the duckweed and snail factor haha
Hi how long does it take to multiple?
It grows pretty quick! All depends on nutrients and lighting
Would a sponge filer be ok?
That would work well: that’s what I use
I’m always tossing it in the trash lol every week I toss a lot
Yeah it grows quick!
How well do they ship?
Floating plants don’t ship well. They usually melt
Can u pls prefer me some easy aquatic plants that can be grown emersed
Java fern, bucephelandra, Amazon sword, cryptocornes
@@PoseidonsPets Thank you
@@cursedkat6787 no problem!
That's good because I'm a poor hombre 👍
